The Lancaster incumbents have got to go

The Lancaster incumbents have got to go

I just received a campaign mailer from the endorsed Democratic Party council member candidates telling me of all the wonderful things they have done for town residents during their terms as council members. They failed to mention how many times their ears became deaf when residents approached them on personal issues.

When I appeared before the board on numerous occasions to address or question the board on Windsor Ridge South development issues/mitigation, I don’t remember either Council Members Ronald Ruffino or John Abraham offering any comments or promises of support. In fact, any remediation work done to somewhat correct my flooding and drainage issues came from through Councilman Amatura and/or Town Engineer Robert Harris.

In fact, both Ruffino and Abraham were silent or non supportive on the Lancaster airport safety issues, the backing up of sanitary/storm sewers at Kennedy Court, the flooding and drainage issues throughout town, the lack of sanitary sewer capacity at Windsor Ridge South, and the idiotic idea to put a sanitary sewer in the Ellicott Creek wetland at the Cross Creek development.

We don’t need more clocks, soccer fields, band shelter or a bike trail guys. We need fiscal responsibility, road improvements, unsafe bridge repairs and respect for residents who appear before the board.

We have choices this year to bring on change; fresh ideas, a checks and balances system. I hope everyone gets out and votes; votes to break the status quo system in Lancaster perpetuated by the entrenched Democrats.
