First Look Buffalo Theatre Company Announces Residency and Company Auditions!

First Look Buffalo Theatre Company co-founders, Bob Rusch and John Patrick Patti, are pleased to announce that their company will be in residence at the New Phoenix Theatre for the 2022-23 season.

The season will include two Main Stage productions and a “One-Act/One-Location” festival; along with monthly staged readings of new plays written by members of our Playwright Wing. The official season announcement will be coming soon!

First Look Buffalo Theatre Company is Holding Auditions for Ensemble Members

Buffalo’s newest theatre company is seeking a diverse group of WNY’s most talented and experienced actors.



Our focus is to develop and produce new plays written by our company’s playwright wing; which is comprised of professional playwrights from Buffalo and around the country.

Ensemble members will enjoy the following benefits:

Participation in the monthly “New Play Reading Series” which will be presented to the public and video taped for streaming.

A role in our annual “One-Act/One-Location” Festival.

Priority casting for paid performances in our Main Stage Productions.

Great networking opportunity to work with professional playwrights that will be writing specifically for our company.

Auditions will be held Saturday, March 19th, 2022 from 1:00 - 5:00 PM at The New Phoenix Theatre, 95 Johnson Park, Buffalo, NY 14201

For the audition, potential ensemble members will have five minutes to perform material of their choosing; whether one long or two short contrasting monologues, a scene with a scene partner, or a monologue and a song sung a cappella. Basically, whatever showcases their talent best!
