An Open Letter To Ron Ruffino:

I am compelled to respond to your letter because again you have proven that your ignorance of politics is only surpassed by your arrogance in the attempt to once again mislead voters after you narrowly won re-election. No personal attacks were launched against you nor was your credibility, or the lack of, discussed in any literature. The fact is "you misled the taxpayers in believing the clock project would be privately funded, then you turned around and secured all the funding with taxpayer dollars, exalting your political self existence! Hardly considered slanderous material? ( Lancaster Bee June 9 2005.) I'll take politics for $154,116.00 plus my salary for eight years; Where do politicians get the money they dole out? (times ticking away Ron) If you answered federal appropriations you answered incorrect The correct answer is THE TAXPAYERS!! Neither Tom Reynolds, Ray Duza, or Dale Larson wrote you checks out of their philantrophy fund (because they don't have one) they got the money originally from us through taxes. Grants, appropriations it's all semantics its taxpayers money we paid for it.

I cannot believe you publicly trumpeted the fact that after 8 years your only accomplishments is three clocks when there are so many more issues at hand which are too numerous to name with the word restriction for this article. You were elected to serve the people, perhaps this term you will focus more on the taxpayers needs instead of your own. I would have liked to have seen the taxpayers recognized on the plaque issued for the clocks but as you said the taxpayers didn't pay for them. "I guess that's why your name stands above all the rest."
