    GoFundme - 1940s Cheektowaga Packing Co. Towaga Brand S & L Ranch

How cool. I got a gift today. Owner dropped off an old photo post card

This is the small horse farm you see at Broadway and Borden

    Borden and Broadway Cheektowaga

    Scanned in

Owner told me the house is the same and one of the smaller buildings is still standing.

Your GTO refurbishing was an expensive hobby too, wasn't it?

At least I got to see something once the GTO was completed. The gokarts were like burning money if you wanted to win each week.

I still have my racing uniform/helmet/gloves etc sitting on a shelf in my garage. I don't think I can squeeze into it anymore.

How long has the go-kart place been gone? I don't remember it so i'm thinking at least 80's. I remember a u-pick strawberry farm between Green Acres and Twin Village Recycling.

The track has been closed since the 60's when the neighbors had it shut down.

I never picked them but I can imagine that picking strawberries next to a junkyard isn't too appealing. The stand is still there.

I may be wrong but I think there is still stuff still buried in that area that wasn't cleaned up.

I've walked the creek a few times. I don't think it would be wise to drink from it.
