I saw the title, figured it was about family traditions and thought it'd be wrong to open it for the intention of making a crack about violence at Regal theaters being a new tradition
then it turns out that was what the thread was about

A 21-year-old man who went on a two-day vandalism spree in the Village of Alden was arrested early Saturday by Erie County sheriff’s deputies, authorities said.
Ryan M. Loss of the 1400 block of Rusher Drive, Alden, was charged with felony criminal mischief and misdemeanor criminal mischief in connection with more than a dozen calls involving tire slashings on Friday and Saturday.
At about 4:30 a. m. Saturday, deputies Robert Kolmetz and Peter Scanio responded to a mischief call on West Avenue and followed footprints in the snow that led to Loss’ home, deputies said.
Detective Jack Graham said Loss fashioned a tool that left a distinctive marking on the tires he punctured, police said. That tool was recovered, he added.
Deputies believe Loss may have punctured more than 30 tires. He was arraigned by Village Justice Robert Woods and released into the custody of his mother. The investigation was continuing.
