Marc Thiessen’s column appeared in today’s Buffalo News titled ‘Joe Biden’s heresy is that he understands the need for compromise in government’.

Where 90% the reports in the liberal Buffalo News favor reports from left-leaning major media sources that are all too willing to rebuke Trump or unwilling to share any positive news on his administration, it is refreshing to read another point of view.

The Buffalo News should be commended for publishing Thiessen’s column considering the flak it received from radical left readers who opposed any view other than one that favors their position from being published.

    Thiessen writes:

The left is starting to take aim at Democratic front-runner Joe Biden. At a conference this week, liberal activists repeatedly booed when told that Biden wanted to find “middle ground” on climate policy. When an audience member shouted “No middle ground!” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) replied, “No middle ground is right!” and declared “I will be damned if the same politicians who refused to act come back today and say we need a middle-of-the-road approach to save our lives.” Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) joined in her criticism, “There is no ‘middle ground’ when it comes to climate policy.”

To the neo-socialists now driving the debate in the Democratic primary campaign, Biden’s entire approach to politics — reaching across the aisle and forging compromise built on consensus — is anathema. Biden’s supposed heresy is that he believes in working with Republicans. He says on the stump that Trump is an “aberration” and predicts that if the president is defeated, Republicans will work toward bipartisan reform, which Biden insists is the only way to get anything worthwhile done. “This nation cannot function without generating consensus,” he said in New Hampshire this week.

Well, generating consensus is not what the left wants. It is not simply opposed to Trump. Many liberals believe, as Ocasio-Cortez has put it, that “capitalism is irredeemable.” So for many Democrats, the Obama-Biden approach to governing is now considered too moderate. On climate, they don’t want the government to simply invest in green energy, like President Barack Obama did. They want to spend tens of trillions of dollars to replace every vehicle that uses a combustion engine, bring high-speed rail to every corner of the country, upgrade or replace every building in the United States and eliminate all fossil-fuel energy.

On health care, they no longer make a pretense of promising voters that they can keep their health plans, like Obama did. They openly advocate abolishing private insurance altogether. Biden’s support for a “public option” that would give Americans a choice of buying into a Medicare-like health plan is seen on the left as capitulation. There will be no choices in the brave new world of democratic socialism. We will have government-run health care for all, whether we want it or not.

Is this what Democratic primary voters want? Biden’s lead in the national polls suggests it may be. But it is early. After all, at this time in 2015, Scott Walker, the Wisconsin governor at the time, appeared to be the front-runner for the Republican nomination and no one was taking Donald Trump seriously. Biden may be ahead for now, but all the energy inside the Democratic Party seems to be with the uncompromising left. It sees Biden standing in the way of its takeover of the Democratic Party. So as his lead in the polls expands, their efforts to stop him — and his heretical calls for compromise — will escalate.

“We have to unify this country,” Biden said at a speech in Iowa earlier this month. “The other side is not my enemy, it’s my opposition.” How sad that has become a controversial statement.

How sad indeed – and so unfortunate for the country should a radical left candidate succeed in winning the primary!

It is true that Biden appears to be more "moderate" than the other candidates who I hold to be "Socialist Revolutionaries." But, the bracketed quote above is reduced to hypocritical hyperbole when one considers that Biden has been a savage Democrat hit man.

Consider Biden's conduct as chairman of the committee sitting to evaluate the nomination of Judge Robert Bork to the United States Supreme Court.

As Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, he failed to criticize, or at least comment to distance-himself from, the comment of fellow Committee member Teddy Kennedy, who said that Bork would have blacks "...sit at segregated lunch counters."

Furthermore, Biden himself said that Bork, during his tenure as a federal judge, decided cases "lawlessly."

A "lawless" federal judge," IMHO, was a pretty strong charge, applied with entirely destructive language, considering that those comments came from Biden within the scope of his role as Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Unfortunately, the charge of hypocritical hyperbola and divisive politics can be assigned to the Democrats and the Republicans alike – and for some time. It fast-tracked when the Republicans made it their goal to obstruct Obama to get him out of office.

Today, the radical left’s hate for Trump is so pervasive that they openly proclaim that their agenda, above all else, is the impeachment and removal of Trump from office – at all costs and which too often is not in the best interest of the voter or the country as a whole.

While they tout social justice, tolerance and political correctness the fringe left practice just the opposite by shutting out opposing discourse and opinion. Biden, like all politicos, has some unfavorable history. Biden, to his credit still manages to hold to the ideology that nothing can be accomplished without compromise from legislators on both sides of the aisle – unlike the unhinged social democrats seeking the presidential office.

Trump, with his arrogance and demeaning rhetoric is deserving of pushback. A public holding differing viewpoints and opinions is not deserving of scorn or condescending labeling.

Can’t wait for the beginning of the primary debates in June. Joe, they’re coming for your ass. Stay true to your ideology and don’t let them intimidate you – especially a weasel like Beto. Watch out for de Blasio (LMAO).

Spot on comment Lee, but the Republicans did not weaponize the intelligence assets of the United States to overthrow Obama.

Therefore, in light of Biden's suggested participation in the Obama-Yates-Comey conference in January, 2017, I argue that Biden's words are especially "hypocritical."

    Just my opinion.

I do not necessarily believe this, but if even close to true, this should scare the Hell out of any American who embraces our historic Constitutional America...

The so-called "moderate" Left, have been strongly present in the political and educational worlds since at least since at least 1932.

Incrementally, actors, like Biden, resident in those worlds, created a Socialist national brain, and collected various pro-Socialist/Marxist special interests body parts, and with those parts have now constructed a functioning monster that threatens the very life of the mad political scientist(s) that created it.

This all sounds like a tragic sequel that the heirs to Mary Shelly may wish to exploit.

The Dems are outraged that they are unable to get Trump impeached and will go to any extreme to that end – including investigating and subpoenaing anyone and with little concern of collateral damage.

The sanctimonious investigators are now incensed that they may be investigated for fabricating a plot that may have caused the Mueller investigation to begin with. Transparency, the public has the right to know, we have to hold them accountable, holds true for both sides.

More time, effort and money will be wasted. The public has tired of this political partisan gamesmanship and are more concerned with the economy, jobs, health care, the border crisis, etc.

As Christ said: “He who is without sin, let him cast the first stone.”

Well, the Dems threw the first stone. Trump is now firing back the stones at the hypocritical mob. Can’t wait to see what comes out of the investigations being conducted by Attorney Barr and Inspector General Horowitz.

And tell me why again Obama knew well in advance of the Russian interference but did nothing?

With rare exception, all politicos suck!

If you were travelling down a winding road and around one turn there was a lawyer, a politician and a skunk crossing the road, which one would you go out of your way to avoid hitting?

Did the Dems seriously think there would be no ‘retaliation’ by Trump?

The other side of the ‘witch hunt’ story.

    https://nypost.com/2019/05/26/donald...s-cry-coverup/

    The president is going nuclear.

Democrats who thought control of the House gave them control of the agenda now will face stiff competition. Their expressions of outrage will seem tired next to the sensational revelations about the actions of Jim Comey, John Brennan and others.

Based on what we already know, it is highly likely those revelations will prove the White House, FBI and CIA engineered the greatest scandal in American political history by unjustified spying on Trump and by trying to tip the election to Hillary Clinton.

Predictably, Dems are furious at Trump’s decision, with many on the left launching personal attacks on Barr. He’s not getting Brett Kavan-augh-level smears yet, but give them time.

Among the usual suspects, Rep. Adam Schiff called the president’s order “un-American.” That’s mighty rich, given his claims for two years that he had evidence Trump colluded with Russia. Odd that he never gave it to special counsel Robert Mueller.

Had enough yet? It isn’t anywhere near over. And with all this partisan fighting we suffer as a nation.

Stealth AOC ‘Green New Deal’ now the law in New Mexico, voters be damned

    https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/dani...ters-be-damned

With the likes of Cuomo, Schumer, Gillibrand, de Blasio and AOC governing New York State how long before we see this taking place here?

Not to worry, de Blasio assures us that there is more than enough revenue out there to cover this. Hang on to your wallets.
