Yes!
First thing I notice is.....
HEY GANG! Look who I'm tied too!
Spitzer for governor? Uhhmmm?
Come on B. Get me this town and hey who knows?
What a hypocritical thing to say.
I notice you didn't post something like that in the new Judy4Mayor thread. If I would have said something in that thread similar to what you said in this one, you people would be all over me about being "pointless" again.
Just a little something I came up with on the internet about Mr. Brown - just to be fair.
Senator Byron W. Brown became the first African-American elected to the Senate outside of New York City when he was sworn in January 1, 2001. Recognized in 1989 by Ebony Magazine as one of the "30 Leaders of the Future," Mr. Brown worked at senior levels in city, county, and state government for 16 years. He was first elected to the City of Buffalo Common Council in 1995. As a Councilmember, Senator Brown received the highest ranking among Democrats on the City Council in a Buffalo News survey, where he was lauded as "bright, creative and hardworking."
Senator Brown, a native of Queens, New York, earned a dual Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Journalism from Buffalo State College, and completed a certificate program for senior executives in state and local government at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government. After beginning his career within the private sector, Mr. Brown went on to serve in key staff positions with the President of the Buffalo City Council, the Chair of the Erie County Legislature and the Deputy Speaker of the New York State Assembly. Senator Brown is the former director of the Erie County Division of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO).
In 1991, the Buffalo Chapter of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) honored Byron Brown with the Martin Luther King, Jr. Award for community service. In 1993 he was selected by Business First newsweekly for its "40 Under Forty Honor Roll," was awarded the Infinity Broadcasting/WBLK "Professional of the Month" in May of 1998, and the "Voice of Power Award" in 2001. In addition, Senator Brown received the "Political Impact Award" from the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority in 2001.
Senator Brown is a member of the congregation at St. John Baptist Church and a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He is a past President of the Buffalo State College Alumni Association Board, and sits on the Boards of Western New York Public Broadcasting Services (PBS), the Boy Scout Council of Western New York, the Community Action Organization of Erie County, and the Humboldt Branch of the YMCA. Byron Brown is immediate past President of Grassroots, Inc., a political and civic organization, and a member of the Erie County Democratic Committee. He was a delegate to the 1992 and 2000 Democratic National Conventions. Senator Brown is married to the former Michelle Austin and they have a son, Byron III.
Standing Committee Assignments 2005: Cities (Ranking Minority); Aging; Commerce, Economic Development and Small Business; Finance; Higher Education; Labor; Tourism, Recreation and Sports Development.
With Buffalo's track record for picking crappy leadership, I think we should go with the person that gets the LEAST votes.
In the 2005 - 2006 Legislative Session, Senator Byron W. Brown serves as Assistant Minority Leader for Intergovernmental Affairs.
Let's take a look at the legislation sponsored by the Senator during the current legislative session.

Were you refering to the comment that I noticed BB logo is just like the Buffalo Bills logo? I would of mentioned the same thing in judy's thread if she had a logo that looked like the Bills to.

I believe NO may have reffered to my comments. If that is the case my statement was not hypocritical. I pointed out fact.
Fact Byron is tied to Spitzer.
Fact patronage exists with these two candidates.
In order for my statement to be hypocritcal the candidates I support would have to have the same bias. They do not.
He had me at banning excess snow on cars. I don't know about you, but I have always considered excess snow on cars to be one of our major social problems. I lay awake at night in a cold sweat sometimes, pondering what could we ever do about this virulent social pathology.
What we would ever do without these geniuses in Albany looking out for our safety?
N.O. - that is one thorough post of the legislation introduced/sponsored by Senator Brown. Can you provide an update on whether he had any co-sponsors and what the status of committee action is on any of these bills?Originally posted by Night Owl

I'll take that as a compliment. You're Welcome.
Can you provide an update on whether he had any co-sponsors and what the status of committee action is on any of these bills?
I'll see what I can come up with.
IMO- I was glad (and lucky) to have found it because it shows he is a man that really is doing more than sitting behind a desk & collecting a paycheck; all of that in the post was just this passed legislation session.

Yes, it was a comment to you.
It was hypocritical because if I would have posted similar about Judy they way you did about Byron, everyone would have been all over my ass about how I am being "pointless" just because it was coming from me.
What's wrong with Spitzer? He is a great Attorney General, one who went after Wall Street fraudulant (sp?) activities, for starters.
Judy has a list of her endrosing supporters, one being Mr. Joel Rose, an anti-casino activist. Since we're stretching things a little, people could associate Judy with being against casino gambling because of this supporter.... casino gaming that many people encourage as a means of new revenue for the area.

WOUld be nice if he went after the "authorities" and little thiefdoms in local governments too

Gawd...
Who mentioned we weren't being fair?
Just generally... I was speaking on fairness with giving information about the candidate prior to passing judgement if he is a good mayoral candidate for the City of Buffalo.
