We've talked so much about this, but I need suggestions for a friendly restaurant, good food, accommodating a medium large family get together, where we can be private and comfortable and get good service. Price is not the object, just in or near Buffalo. I have several months to investigate this.
Any suggestions?
Frank's Sunny Italy on Delaware by Avery I believe ? Great food , each plate is two meals , reasonably cheap , have a side room , a little bit of a wait , but well worth it............. Oh , also family owned & ran by family , VERY friendly & accomadating............

What is medium to large (rough number)? Are you looking for a buffet or sit down? Lunch or dinner?
Thanks, all, for responding.
Nope, doesn't have to be kidfriendly, I've been to Frank's and of course The Anchor, both nice and great food, but a little nicer for a celebration.
A group of maybe 15-20 maybe.
Maybe the place out on Main with the waterwheel? Or on that order.
Know what I mean?
I thought you meant within the city limits , opens whole new ball game................You're talking about the Old Red Mill , there's plenty of nice places like that , Eagle House on Main St. in Williamsville was/is awesome , the Creekside just down & across the street is real nice , food's great & you get to watch the fast water which they use color lights on.......Friar's Table (I believe they're still on Kensington near Union , past Harlem) you can request a seperate room in advance , very cozy , warm restaurant with awesome food , esp. their prime rib & steaks/filets , etc. Samuel's Grand Manor , Main St. past Transit Rd. , just SO many...............WNY has the best restaurants................

Friers Table is on Cleveland Dr just west of Harlem.
In the City on Virginia Place is "Mothers" Make reservations and enjoy the ride.
Mr. Bills on Cleveland Dr. near Cayuga
Protocol on Transit near the thruway.
Boston Hotel on Genesee Street past Transit.

Forget Mother's, too small, too noisy for your group, no privacy.
Have you been to Buffalo Chop House? Beautiful place, best steaks in town.
E B Green's, another beautiful place, in the Hyatt.
