Niagara Falls man fatally shot in feud over money

A dispute over money led to the fatal shooting of a Seventh Street man this afternoon, Niagara Falls police said.

Jhue Kelly, 47, died about an hour after being shot in the abdomen inside his home at 442 Seventh St. Detective Capt. Ernest Palmer, chief of detectives for Niagara Falls police, said Kelly was alive when police arrived on the scene at 3:10 p.m., but died after being taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.

Police said they know the identity of the attacker, who was still at large. Officers were called to the Seventh Street address to investigate the report of a disturbance involving several people, including shots fired.

Kelly was found lying on a second-floor landing, bleeding from a gunshot wound. A .38-caliber revolver was recovered at the scene, police said.

Further details will be available in Sunday's Buffalo News.
