Wasn’t there some kind of peeing match between competing “museums” in NT? It was some kind of weird thing like that.
Spot Coffee coming to Webster as firm transforms former NT museumhttps://www.niagara-gazette.com/news...erK8jSva4au-hENORTH TONAWANDA — The building at 54 Webster St. may not be occupied by the North Tonawanda History Museum anymore, but its new owner said he hopes to preserve a bit of the Lumber City's history as he works to turn the old museum into a new, mixed-use space.
Ralph Dailey and his construction team are in the process of totally gutting the former museum to prepare for the construction of multiple commercial and residential units within the existing walls. As the work progressed, Dailey said they found that the building contained some quality woodwork under multiple layers of wall and ceilings that had been covered up over the years.
Why do we think attendance wasn't high enough to support the building as a museum?

I don't know. What we do know is someone believed it had merit and invest their time/money into the project. Sometimes I wonder if "tourist" as a reason to do something carries as much value as some think it does.
