State control board is needed in Buffalo

Bring on the control board, and bring it on quickly. And give it the unprecedented power to renegotiate existing labor contracts. The city does not have the ability or desire to control labor costs to a fair point for both sides, and the unions continue to take advantage of this situation.
As the facts begin to surface on the latest contract with the police union, it's becoming crystal clear why Police Benevolent Association President Bob Meegan was so anxious to sign it before the details and ramifications became apparent. In Buffalo, greed seems to always triumph over ineptness. Maybe the control board can reverse some of that and somewhat unburden the taxpayer.
