No wonder our youth are confused - who's setting the examples???????

its all apart of what the Town Board does - over and over again.
    "Dog and Pony Show"

Resident/taxpayers bring concerns to the Town Government.
    • Phase one, Denial and stall,(2009 Lancaster Airport) Town Board Members deny any prior knowledge of situation, claims no other residents have complained or inquired. Promise to look into issue. Weeks go by - no obvious actions are taken - residents return to Town Hall for answers.
    • Phase two, Denial, stall and misdirect:Town Board denies knowledge of any complaints and again pretends Town has no new insight.
    • Town Board tells impatient resident taxpayer, "Lets have a cooling of period."
    • Translation: Residents should not cause any media attention, take no actions and waite for the Board to investigate further.
    • and so on.
While taxpayers/residents are "Cooling Off" - Town Leaders are working with Lancaster Airport Officials to draw support for the exspansion. Supervisor Bob Giza and others are treated to "VIP Dinner" and campaign donations.

Town Board offers to appoint a Board Member as a "Liason" to the taxpayers. The liason has but one true function - to inquire as to who is in the SAC group, how are they supporting their safety campaign and to stall them from taking further actions.

This game has been played in Lancaster for Developers/supporters of our Lan.Dem. Controlling Board Members for over 20 years. For Walmart, Marrano Subdivisions, Gas stations, filling wetlands, building in flood plains, durrying sewer lines in a creek bed, and anything else residents had concerns with.

While they tell taxpaying residents to "Trust Us" - "Remain Quiet" - the bull dozers are rolling - the funding and zoning paper work is completed - the nessessary permits are granted -

Supervisor Giza and his Town appointed Boards conclude their deals.

Then sit in front of you at the next Town Hall Meetings and say:

"We had little or nothing to do with it!",said Supervisor Bob Giza

Then he later added, "I love flying, I am a hands on kind of guy."

    While taxpayers/residents are enjoying the
    "Cooling Off Period"

Airport supporters and Town Officials are busy:
Example:Lancaster/Buffalo Airport is buisy buying votes.

    Neighbors Complaining About Airport Noise!

They develope their plans: eccerpts from their own article,
"So what influences local town officials?"

    • Answer: Votes . . . votes needed to secure re-election."
    • "Thus, our next step was to build a big list of pro-airport people. Next, we hosted a special VIP reception on the evening prior to our open house. We invited all of our federal, state, and local elected officials and area business leaders.
    • The next step in our campaign has been to cultivate our rapidly growing list of friends and supporters. We did this through a series of personalized e-mails to each member on the list.
    • Then, we scheduled a "Friends" meeting at our airport to both feed and brief our supports. Nearly 100 people showed up for this first-ever "Friends" gathering.
    • Our final step, to be completed after the posting of this OTA issue, is to pack the town hall with all of our "friends" at their next meeting on July 6th.
    • Each of our "friends" will be supplied with a three inch wide brightly colored button saying, "I Luv the Lancaster Airport" that they'll proudly display on their lapel while attending this meeting.
"In summary, our little airport will reign victorious over our detractors primarily because we have right and reason on our side (plus about $10 million in recent federal and state grants).

"We also won the hearts of our local elected officials.
    That's a big plus! "

Crazy thing is, all people rallied for airport group were NON residents. Pilots that do not live in Lancaster have no say.
