On Handling Terrorism
40% favor Republicans
39% favor Democrats

On Moral Values
38% favor Republicans
38% favor Democrats

On Iraq
33% favor Republicans
45% favor Democrats

On the Economy
34% favor Republicans
47% favor Democrats

On Immigration
32% favor Republicans
40% favor Democrats

On Health Care
26% favor Republicans
53% favor Democrats

On Spending
31% favor Republicans
47% favor Democrats

On Crime
36% favor Republicans
38% favor Democrats

On Abortion
33% favor Republicans
42% favor Democrats

And here's the kicker...

On Guns
37% favor Republicans
39% favor Democrats

I hear a lot of our friends on the Right claim the Democratic Party is out of touch with mainstream American values. These numbers don't support that claim at all.

I just hope the Dems don't blow it by getting tangled up in a bunch of wedge issues. This country has way too much at stake now to be bothered with....say.....making English the offical U.S. language.

The only poll that really matters is the one of November 7th. I'm hoping for a wake-up call to the Republican Party at all three levels, local, statewide and national.
