Buffalo
There now have been at least 37 shooting victims across the city of Buffalo this June, with seven of those shootings fatal, according to police data. Four people were struck by gunfire in three separate incidents late Saturday night and Sunday morning, according to police.
In the past week, at least 17 people have been shot and wounded citywide.
Chicago
Chicago faced another bloody weekend, with at least 13 people killed in shootings – including a 1-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl, prompting new fears about a violent summer ahead.
A recent spate of shootings in Chicago and other cities has had officials on edge. Experts said non-suicidal gun deaths are on track to top last year, as America deals with a rebound in the coronavirus pandemic, nationwide protests against racial injustice and deeper political divisions in a presidential election year.

And some of our esteemed politicians support dismantling / defunding police departments during this time of anarchy and property destruction. There are some bad cops and reform and accountability is essential, but reform not so radical to cause police protection disruption.
This is the new norm?
