    This is healing and unity?

It was time for Trump to go. Despite his accomplishments and 'America First' policies, his arrogant and bullying demeanor cost him the election and most likely the Georgia Senate races. He will be gone in seven days – peacefully he promises.

Like many others filled with hope that Biden would foster his pledge of being ‘everyone’s president and bringing unity and calm to America. Alas, promises made in politics are promises too often not kept. Biden’s rhetoric, that of his Democratic Party, and his Big Tech and mainstream media outlets supporters are providing enough reason for individuals thinking of supporting Biden’s agenda to back-away in disappointment and anger.

Attacks on free speech, religion, cancel culture, and even individuals losing their jobs for offering dissent to left-wing policies is abhorrent and not who we are.

Biden declared he was not a socialist and promised unity and calm Not seeing any of that yet. Instead, vindictiveness, retribution, censorship, and fear of authoritarianism rule the day.

We have been told so often by the left mob to move on, yet they refuse to do so. Impeachment by the House again, who cares with Trump's seven days left?

How are the country’s best interests being served by partisan politics that will continue to divide its citizens?

    Disappointed? Indeed!

    We are so screwed!

Screwed is a good word to use Lee. Unity, try these on for size from our Democratic hypocrites:

    1. "there will be blood in the streets" by Loretta Lynch
    2. "who says protests have to be peaceful?" by Chris Cuomo
    3. "protesters should not let up." by Kamala Harris
    4. "I just don't know why there aren't uprisings all over this country. Maybe there should be." by Nancy Pelosi
    5. "you get out and create a crowd and you push back on them and you tell them they are not welcome anymore, anywhere." by Maxine Waters
    6. "go home with love and in peace. Remember this day forever!" by President Trump

And what did Eric Holder say?

Only one of these were considered violent and hateful....

    Spot on!

Hypocrisy to the max and at a time when the country is hurting in so many ways and where a concerted effort is needed by our elected officials to right the ship.

I had to stop watching today's impeachment hearings for fear of throwing up. The lying and hypocrisy was reason enough and then to see more troops posted at the Capitol that are currently stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan to counter a potential siege was ludicrous.

Tell me again how this helps individuals get vaccinated, regain their jobs, pay their bills to keep from getting evicted from apartments or losing their homes, etc.

Our inept / dysfunctional government should be ashamed! Their political agendas and best interests outweigh ours.

Cancel culture is here, be scared!

Move on? It a’int over until the left says it’s over

It should have been over after the election and the unity, calm and government’s work as promised should have focused on addressing the problems facing the country. If anything the country has become even more divided since.

As if the Capitol riot and today’s ‘historic’ second House impeachment wasn’t enough to satisfy the left, we have the following Washington Post’s report that displays how vindictive, vile, and vengeful the left can be – the self-proclaimed bastion of tolerance, inclusiveness, compassion, and standard bearer for ‘purity politics. Nor how willing and complicit the mainstream media is to stoke the fire.

The left and their media, Big Tech, socialist supporters are risking losing the support of those who were willing to give Biden a chance based on his promise of not being a socialist and focused on being a ‘president for all America. Much of that went up in smoke today with the impeachment hearings and Biden’s appointment of Sanders to his Cabinet.

Coming to America, cancel culture, censorship and suppression on display:

Democrats demand investigation of whether Republicans in Congress aided Capitol rioters

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/polit...?ocid=msedgntp

Even as Democrats on Wednesday impeached President Trump, they turned their attention to allegations that Republican members of Congress encouraged last week’s attempted insurrection, possibly providing help that enabled the mob who stormed the Capitol.

“Their accomplices in this House will be held responsible,” Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) said in a speech during the impeachment debate, without mentioning specific members or allegations.

In the days since the Jan. 6 attack, immediately preceded by Trump’s remarks at a rally, a number of Democrats have pointed to speeches, tweets, and videos that they have said raised questions about whether the attackers may have been inspired or helped by Republican members of Congress.

Centrists in general must take a stand

Would that the ‘centrists’ in all political parties take a stand and shut the extremist wackos the hell up.

Most of us have had enough of the violence, destruction and fear mongering emanating from both the left and right extremists, blame game, all resulting in threats to our democracy, freedom of speech, personal safety, and wellbeing.

Neither major party today deserves our respect or blind support!

Centrist Republicans speak up! We must take a stand against the insurrectionists

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/opini...?ocid=msedgntp

The question facing Republicans is not whether to rock the boat. The question is which boat do you want to be on. Do you want to be with the insurrectionists, who ignored facts, distorted reality and encouraged the storming of the Capitol last week? Or do you want to stand with principle-based centrists and conservatives who believe in and are driven by the ideas that made our party — and our country — great?

If you are a principled centrist or principled conservative, now is not the time to remain silent. To do so will lead to more of the same — a party devoid of principles and dominated by personalities.

You made a good point, most feel the same as I do, we have had enough of this destructive/violent behavior across the country. If Biden is truly about "unity" then let's see the action of those words he keeps espousing.

We want peace and reconciliation now. Enter into the 2021 arena with some bipartisan relationships that will bring us to "unity."

My concern is the 1.9 Trillion dollars that will be used for relief in his first economic plan. The fund will bring immediate relief for the pandemic and bail-out money for the blue states. This stimulus package compounded on top of the trillions already spent is monumental, IMO. And if I may pontificate, doesn't the word "stimulus" mean to kickstart growth during a recession? The economy needs to grow, if the country still has small businesses shutdown, how does this work then? I feel the 1.9 trillion should be called The Relief Package.

In three more days the ‘Clear and Present Danger’, as Pelosi refers to Trump, will be gone from office. A danger so unprincipled, dishonest, and immoral that the left deemed his departure should be immediate. Now, not so much.

In reading today’s media reports and watching several TV outlets, it was another day of hateful political rhetoric / partisanship, threats, intimidation, attack on free speech; all without any indication this country can or wants to heal and unite.

The extremists on both sides rule the day. The government is too divided to stop the chaos and we moderates are so screwed.

BTW - If it is a relief package, why are people who do not need relief getting money? Stimulus package to bail out businesses that have been shut down and people out of work, indeed. $1.9 trillion, God help the next generation.

Biden stated over a month ago that the country could not have another shutdown. The financial collateral damage would be colossal and unrecoverable. Yet it took legal action and a court order to force Cuomo to open businesses - with strict restrictions. New York is in a big financial hole; New Yorkers are leaving the state and New York still leads the country in Covid death rate. At least Andy loves himself and thinks he’s doing a great job!

Back in August, President Biden quoted Chairman Mao to justify his selection of Vice President Harris...

Joe Biden used a quote from brutal Chinese dictator Mao Zedong to explain his pick of Kamala Harris as his running mate during the ticket’s first public interview Sunday.

When asked by ABC News’s Robin Roberts whether he felt “pressure to select a black woman,” Biden responded by saying he did not feel pressure, explaining that he did want his government to “look like the people, look like the country.”

In October, 2009, it was discovered that President Obama's Communications Director Anita Dunn also was fond of using the quotes of Chariman Mao, the Communist Chinese philosopher, leader, and butcher...

"The third lesson and tip actually comes from two of my favorite political philosophers: Mao Zedong and Mother Teresa — not often coupled with each other, but the two people I turn to most to basically deliver a simple point, which is, you're going to make choices; you're going to challenge; you're going to say, 'Why not?'; you're going to figure out how to do things that have never been done before.
Dunn's quote was in part responsible for her resignation.

    Now, fast forward to 2021.

Is this a further indication of Biden's attitude toward both Mao and Dunn?...

Can an unseated president be impeached?

Not according to Harvard Law School professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz, He said that a post-presidential impeachment wouldn’t work and goes against the Constitution, after House Democrats voted to impeach the president last week.

“It will be unconstitutional, but that probably won’t bother the senators,” Dershowitz told Fox News on Sunday. “The Constitution is very clear. The subject, the object, the purpose of impeachment is to remove a sitting president.”

Biden is saying little to nothing about impeachment, but also little how he will tackle the deep polarization within the country. .

“Whether Trump can run again in 2024 and whether he can tweet or make noise in some other way aren't things [Biden] can do anything about," says a transition official involved in guiding Garland's confirmation. If Trump is convicted in the Senate, he could be barred from running for office again, but Biden sees that as a matter for Republicans, 17 of whom would have to vote to convict him, to decide.

Biden and other Democratic leaders must try to avoid embarrassing or humiliating Trump followers. He must cool the rhetoric and reduce the vindictiveness in all shapes or forms in order to achieve the healing and unity he promises to achieve.

Biden will have a tough time getting Republicans and Conservatives buy-in getting them to set aside following memories:

    • For the last 4+ years, the Democrats have gone scorched earth.
    • The protests the day of/after the 2016 inauguration.
    • The 4 years of personal attacks.
    • They will remember “not our president” and the “Resistance...”
    • Being called racist, deplorables, deranged, sexist and evil.
    • Maxine Walters telling followers to harass Trump supporters in department stores and gas stations.
    • The President's press secretary being chased out of a restaurant.
    • Hundreds of Trump supporters being physically attacked.
    • Trump supporters getting Doxed and fired from jobs.
    • The summer riots, and looting.
    • A liberal "comedian” holding up the President’s severed head.
    • A play in Central park paid with public funding, showing the killing of President Trump.
    • Robert de Niro yelling “F**k Trump” at the Tony’s and getting a standing ovation.
    • Trump being accused of being a Russian spy and the media going with it.
    • Nancy Pelosi tearing up the State of the Union Address.
    • How totally in the tank the mainstream media was in opposing Trump.
    • The non-stop and live fact checking on our President and his supporters by biased disingenuous outlets -non-stop in your face lies and open cover-ups from the media.
    • The partisan House impeachments.
    • The President and his staff being spied on.
    • Every so-called comedy show turn into nothing but Trump hate fest.
    • 95% negative Trump coverage in the news.
    • Leftists threatening outside the homes of prominent Republicans.
    • The attempted destruction of Brett Kavanaugh.
    • People pounding on Supreme Court doors.
    • Being called every name in the book for supporting President Trump and being ‘cancelled’ for continuing that support.
    • Many in Hollywood who said they would leave after Trump was elected, but they stayed anyway.

    What a joke.

You act as if the crazies on the Right just rolled out the Red Carpet for incoming President Barack Obama. I remember driving to work the day after the election and WBEN was already attacking him (8 am the next day), and comparing him to a god for his supporters - even having a song that attempted to mock the deity thing. LOL - They pummeled him for his entire term. Same for Clinton, Bush, and most likely all the others. I guess someone, somewhere has a list for Obama.

Don't you recall the "Birther" thing Trump promoted on Obama?

Dude, wake up it comes with the territory and you know it. Just ask the Dems who had served on the town board after all your years of crazy rants attacking them.

Heck, speaking of red, you get all knee-jerky above yet you're silent on Blazejewski's Red Scare 2021. Not shocking of course.

Obama took all the crap and it didn't bother him one bit. Biden will be the same. Trump has always been a big crybaby and it's no surprise that he hyped the listing Chowaniec posts here.

At the end of the day these posts are pretty much like Buffy's Q stuff - a monumental waste of energy that could have been better spent on more productive activities.

    Oh well.

Well, a good day to you too, Breezy!

You outdid yourself today. In one swoop you called out three long-time posters of Speakup monumental ‘wastes of time’ whose mock-worthy’ opinions have no value – wackos whose opinions should be ignored, nay, suppressed.

Res. has been talking about a format change. Has he made you the Administrator of Speech Police? Given you the authority to falsely accuse, shame, or dox someone who dares to hold an opinion other than yours? Are you Speakup’s cancel culture poster boy?

And what’s with the ‘red scare’ innuendo? What am I missing? I am not a member of Facebook, Twitter, or any social media outlets.

Are you referring to ‘red scare like in Republic States, or ‘red scare’ like people’s fear of a Marxist socialist government coming from the left?

Regardless, you speak of wasting time and energy, yet you just did so in your screed without answering what on the list I provided, which you found objectionable and refutable, but chose not to address. What’s on the list that is BS and refutable, Breezy?

That’s what my post was about. But you had to distort the post and make it into something ugly again.

Sad! You exemplify the politicos I refer to in my mantra: With rare exception, all politicos suck! You are not the rare exception!

That would have been the first positive comment you made on Had enough yet in over 150 posts, LOL, if is wasn't facetious. That's ok. Do what you want but don't be surprised if every once in a while someone stands up to your posts. Any reasonable person would see a dark tunnel of online conspiracies there, so sure hit back all you want, but I wish actual politicos would also join up and set the record straight, by joining me here. Maybe that way you will see the light, Mr. Chowaniec. A lot of other people who read this stuff have the same reaction:

As far as the remaining, I stand by everything I have written here and stand by its authenticity, so it's on you to point out the "falsely accuse, shame, or dox someone" postings where it was not legit.
