According to the media and politicos

According to the liberal mainstream media we are fortunate to have the divisive, narcist, racist, bully Trump out of office – the never did anything good for America president. Daily that media posts eviscerating reports to ensure he never takes office again or is a voice in the Republican Party future. That media supports and covers Biden’s ass whenever possible. A media that fawns over every Biden policy and cover's his ass to support. Today we read in the New York times that Biden, the candidate that sought office declaring to be a moderate, but presiding as anything but, has entrusted his capable sidekick with another ‘tough’ role, protecting voting rights.

Besides being appointed the border czar 70 days ago (and yet to visit the border or have a press conference), we learned when reading the New York Times that Kamala Harris (the progressive socialist) new role comes in addition to a host of other engagements, including but not limited to selling the “American Rescue Plan,” advocating Biden’s infrastructure package, representing women in the workplace, highlighting the Black maternal mortality rate, assisting small businesses, assess water policy, promoting racial equity, combating vaccine hesitancy, and fighting for a policing overhaul.

Biden has just about eviscerated Trumps legacy by executive order – his recent eliminating the agreement with Mexico holding refuges in Mexico seeking asylum.

The average citizen must be looking at Biden’s policies and weighing how they impact his life:

Border crisis – its cost in treasure and where children are still being separated from parents, hardship of refuges, criminals and terrorists entering the country illegally.

Rampant inflation resulting from irresponsible fiscal policies – food, housing, energy, and supply / equipment costs skyrocketing.

Paying people to stay home, paying people to be vaccinated, free stuff, etc.

Providing illegals with rights and resources equal to or beyond that of citizens.

Crime significantly increasing in states advocating police defunding or polices restricting police work. Police leaving in record numbers.

Attack on free speech and differing opinion.

Critical history learning, whites are inbred racists, systemic racism.

Calling Covid the Chinese virus is racism, really?

So, do you think things have gotten better under Biden, or are we still screwed? How is this progressive-socialism thing working out for you?

Had enough of the BS from all sides? Yeah, me too?

Are we being led by idiots - for how long?

The government is supposed to be working in the best interest of its citizens. Is it? All its citizens? Except for the divisive, wacko extremists on the left and right, many must have repeatedly asked this question of themselves.

The following report speaks to this:

Ben Domenech: Consider the possibility we are led by idiots.

LOL Lee, we all know that idiots are running this country. It is falling down around us.

I am so disgusted with the redacted emails of the Faucmonster. He should be arrested. I'm surprised that Amazon and Barnes & Noble pulled his book. Good...

What is as troubling as Fauci’s misguided handling of the virus and his sanctimonious lecturing on following the silence, is the mainstream and social media mocking any suggestion of the virus being man-made and/or coming out of the Wuhan lab as being racist and/or a conspiracy theory and not worthy of investigation. The Trump haters labeled him a racist, nut-job for calling it the ‘China virus’.

While many are calling the Fauci emails scandalous, he brushes them off as being misconstrued. Considering Fauci was instrumental in giving money to the Wuhan lab, what did he know and what was he holding back? 3,200 emails in 6 months and he says he remembers every one of them but can’t remember what was redacted in the one from a colleague concerning the virus origin.

Concerns about the Wuhan lab surfaced in 2018. The lab started receiving funds under the Obama- Biden administration in 2016. What was the money to be used for? Wuhan lab researcher thanked Fauci for dismissing lab-leak theory.

Whitehouse press secretary Psaki and the mainstream are already working on damage control.

And we have idiots in this country openly apologizing to China for those daring to suggest the virus originated in their country.

Hypocrisy , lying and double-standards? To the max and all the way around.

GOP has no game plan, except to destroy democracy.

While fawning over Biden (as usual) The mainstream media today focused not only on attacking Trump, but it also lambasted the GOP as well. There reports today feature:

The GOP is failing to make a villain out of Biden and has run out of ideas.

Biden, a 78-year-old moderate Democrat, has a job approval rating hovering around 60% of Americans. He's been buoyed by his handling of the coronavirus pandemic, a resurgent economy, and a sense - earned or not - from voters that the new president has a firmer hand on the tiller than his chaotic predecessor.

Sinema and Manchin’s nihilistic bipartisanship clears the way for the GOP to wreck democracy. The Republicans are laying the groundwork to accomplish legally what they failed to do by force on January 6.

Republicans have no policies to offer to change anything in the country for the better - and we've seen this before, too.

Complaints about "wokeness" and other vaguely defined conservative phrases like "cancel culture" and the misuse of the term "critical race theory" are all the rage for both the new and old right.

Biden claims creation of two million jobs under his administration. Biden also claims that vaccinations and his economic program are beginning to get the economy back on track after a halting recovery from pandemic.

    Comment

Biden created two million jobs or are those people returning to fill vacated pandemic job losses? The U.S. added 559,000 jobs in May. The biggest job gains were in leisure as hospitality as people returned in droves to bars and restaurants. Big gains are also attributed to employees in education, health care and social assistance fields returning to work. The average monthly gain over March, April and May was almost 540,000 positions. At that rate, it will be well into 2022 before the labor department returns to pre-pandemic levels.

Labor shortage because of generous unemployment programs? Nah, they say once the kids go back to school and the benefits end, normalcy will return.

Would like to hear more from the mainstream media on inflation and when it will let up and not especially adversely impact low- income families and families on fixed incomes.

Sad to see how this distracts from the significant increase in violent crime and the social justice political warriors who want to defund/abolish the police. AOC’s claim that fewer prisons would help curtail crime is asinine. The Mayor of St. Louis recommending defunding the police because what they have in place is not working to stifle the worse crime laden city in the country.

Need to hear more on the border crisis and Kamala’s plan. More on Hunter Biden.

More on inflation and its adverse impact on Americans daily lives in providing food on the table, gas in the car, purchasing homes, etc. Biden and Yellen say not to worry.

Things are better with Biden and his socialists, right? Who cares about irresponsible spending and the national debt, the kids will pay for it! That's the Biden plan! The Republicans have no such plan.

You know Lee, I have this strange feeling that we are in a movie. I say to myself, this really cannot be our reality right?? Then I get back to my sane self (well as far as I would classify it, LOL) and realize, yes this is really happening. Last time we saw this leadership confusion was when Carter was our President. That said, Resident Biden is causing more mayhem than I thought. His reassignment of social justice may just be viewed as historic. They are gaging our social "norms" according to the reassignment of what today's "social norms" are viewed. The Diagnostic Statistical Manual (DSM) generally gages its diagnostic coding based on our current social norms. During this reassignment, the manual is being adjusted. Example, transgender "was" considered a mental illness thereby diagnostic coding to treat that was according to the norms in that time period. Today, since norms are changing, so is the way we treat mental illness. Currently, transgender or this gender identity will be reassigned to what we are to view ( in today's times) normal by normalizing the gender identity in our elementary/mid/senior/collegiate institutions. Biden owns this. Historically, this will be talked about for generations.

In the aforementioned, that is just one piece of the puzzle. Let's look at inflation. My goodness, again this reminds me of the Carter era. Now I understand why Biden visited Carter, great minds think alike??? Or minds like that are like-minded??? Hold on tight...

I was surprised about the position Manchin toke on the filibuster. Manchin said he is not in favor of eliminating the filibuster, which necessitates a threshold of 60 votes in the 100-member Senate rather than a simple majority to move forward with most legislation. We know both parties have made use of the filibuster over the years. Lee, what do you make of this? I thought he was so Democratically motivated? I have found him to be the "common sense" or "voice of reason" in his party.... I'm happy about his position but is there another agenda here that I am missing????

It's crazy Lee, but we need to buckle up, the next 3 years will be interesting....

    Hey Shortstuff:

I was hoping to see the ‘moderate’ Biden campaigned on being. He has become enigmatic in that he is flip-flopping on many campaign policies and ceding more and more authority to his soon to be successor, the incompetent, socialist Harris - IMHO!

Up is now down in today’s politically correct society, where free speech and democracy are under attack by a mob who wants to control a narrative of ‘if you don’t agree with me, you are a racist or one deserving of shame, intimidation, or worse. Sad!

Biden administration to announce new efforts to fight smuggling, trafficking

Vice President Harris is already in Guatemala and will be meeting with representatives from Mexico as well to discover the root cause of the migration to the U.S. and to help put an end to human trafficking, corruption, and violence. Thank God that the Biden Administration is addressing this situation before a border crisis occurred!

These conferences may even lead to ‘chuckles’ visiting the U.S. border for a look-see. Dare we even hope for a ‘findings’ press conference?

    Democrats alienating their base

An interesting opinion piece from a foreign journalist and one that has relevancy on how the left is offending and angering most American voters.

Biden welcomed migrants with open arms during his campaign and when inaugurated. Today in Guatemala, Harris tells the undocumented, “Don’t come!. Stay away or you will be sent back."

Stay away from U.S. border and it’s still Trump’s fault according to Harris and the mainstream media foot soldiers narrative.. While President Biden campaigned on unwinding some of the Trump administration’s border restrictions, allowing migrants to apply for asylum at the U.S. border, Ms. Harris amplified the White House’s current stance that most of those who crossed the border would be turned away and would instead need to find legal pathways or protection closer to their home countries.

The Biden-Harris administration create a border crisis, denies it’s a crisis but a challenge, then closes the border turning back a 20-year record high of refugees, and still blames Trump! The new normalcy!

China is eating our lunch but it's those damn Russians we have to worry about. Biden says so, it must be true.

How the Democrats Alienate Their Base
Nigel Farage- senior editor-at-large of Newsweek's "The Debate" platform.

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world...?ocid=msedgdhp

This week, on the very day that the Biden administration announced an end to oil exploration in Alaska, we learned that the Chinese are burning record amounts of coal and building up to 100 new coal-fired power stations every year. Politicians in America and Europe can indulge in green politics to their hearts' content, but there will be no decrease in carbon emissions globally. All that happens is that emissions are exported elsewhere.

The same negativity can be felt in America. Its southern border emergency is turning every state into a border state, as large numbers of people who have arrived illegally arrive in communities all over the country. Worse still are the criminals being smuggled in to join drug gangs in a nation that suffered record numbers of opioid deaths last year. All of this particularly enrages people who have arrived in the U.S. legally. Yet Vice President Kamala Harris has not once visited the border, as far as anybody knows. This is surprising considering she is supposedly in charge of the administration's response to this issue.

'Legitimate criticism' is still guaranteed by constitution

But what constitutes ‘legitimate criticism’ and who determines whether the criticism is legitimate? Pelosi? The Left? Congress? Mainstream media? The political correctness mob? The social justice warriors? The cancel culture crowd?

Ilhan Omar shared a controversial exchange in a tweet on Monday, per Politico, alongside the text, "We have seen unthinkable atrocities committed by the U.S., Hamas, Israel, Afghanistan, and the Taliban."

Despite having first labeled Democratic criticism "shameful" and "unbearable," Omar later made a "full backtrack," per reporter Ben Jacobs, citing her comments as pertaining to "accountability for specific incidents regarding those ICC cases," and not a "moral comparison between Hamas and the Taliban and the U.S. and Israel."

In her clarification, Omar, a progressive Minnesota Democrat and one of the first Muslim women elected to Congress, explained that her original comments had focused on ongoing International Criminal Court probes - "not a moral comparison between Hamas and the Taliban and the U.S. and Israel. "I was in no way equating terrorist organizations with democratic countries with well-established judicial systems," said Omar, a Somali refugee.

That clarification appeared to satisfy Pelosi and her team, who said in their Thursday statement: "We welcome the clarification by Congresswoman Omar that there is no moral equivalency between the U.S. and Israel and Hamas and the Taliban."

"Legitimate criticism of the policies of both the United States and Israel is protected by the values of free speech and democratic debate. And indeed, such criticism is essential to the strength and health of our democracies," the Democratic leadership team said in its statement.

So what constitutes legitimate criticism of the Trump and Biden administrations. Is saying, “F**k Trump” okay – as was publicly said by a celebrity? Is opining that Biden’s border policy is the root cause of the border crisis and not Trump’s fault as the Biden administration and the mainstream media would like us to believe?

Walking on eggshells as I watch free speech erode for some but not all. Who are the ‘legitimate criticism’ police? It is becoming the practice of the media to now protect its interests by posting disclaimers like:

Ilhan Omar's long history of controversial statements

Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., has come under fire over a recent tweet that grouped the U.S. and Israel with terrorist groups Hamas and the Taliban, all of which she said had committed "unthinkable atrocities.

Omar later walked back the statement, following pressure from members of both parties. It wasn't the first time that she has stoked controversy.

Equating the United States and Israel to Hamas and the Taliban is as offensive as it gets. However, Omar, the Squad, the left, and the mainstream media can get away with making appalling statements because they are the united ‘woke’ crowd able to bash America because they control the narrative them will bring reprisals.

Omar is a staunch, open critic of Israel and her controversial statements only became more enflamed during the recent conflict between Israeli forces and Palestinian Authority-backed terror group Hamas.

    Omar tweeted:

"Israeli air strikes killing civilians in Gaza is an act of terrorism. Palestinians deserve protection. Unlike Israel, missile defense programs, such as Iron Dome, don’t exist to protect Palestinian civilians. It’s unconscionable to not condemn these attacks on the week of Eid," Omar wrote on Twitter.

Gaza doesn’t have the ‘protective dome’ as the Israeli’s, so it’s okay to shell Israel and not expect retribution. Seriously. Omar came to this country as a refugee from an embattled war refugee camp, advanced to her present position, and ffels comfortable in positioning the U.S,A, as a terrorist nation, and we are not to feel offended because she walked her statement back and is getting support from the likes of Pelosi, the Squad, and the left suck-up media. And she doesn't deserve censure?

What is this happening to our country?

How right-wing media is trying to make Fauci Public Enemy No. 1

The right-wing media have it wrong again according to CNN. Dr. Fauci is idolized by the left says CNN analyst Brian Stelter and the right have no reason to demean him and request his dismissal.

Fauci has been spot on from day one of the pandemic, has never waffled, flip-flopped, or played politics, right? Honest and direct in every media appearance - which he relished.

While some of us are relieved to have been immunized with two shots of a vaccine developed under the Trump Warp Speed program, hoping to return to normalcy, more concerned now about inflation, the border crisis, unemployment, the national debt, etc., we have to have our attention focused on BS like this – something that has the potential to further divides us.

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world...?ocid=msedgntp

BTW - Some of us old geezers had to scour the Internet or sit on the phone for hours trying to make appointments to get vaccinated. Many drove hundreds of miles twice to get the shots. And now the Biden administration is offering shot & beer incentives and other largesse give-away enticements to people to take the vaccine. Over supply and potential serum waste results in vaccine distribution to other countries. Trump would have been savaged by now by the mainstream media.

And when returning to normalcy, choose your words carefully less you say something that may offend someone. It will be easier to cancel you than Apple Pie!

Biden wowing G-7, NATO, the world

However, the jury is still out in the U.S.A. It is too early to tell what direction the self-proclaimed anti-socialist, moderate Democrat will take this country in. Is his worldly respect and appeal based on his policies and strength, or hatred against Trump driving the appeal.

Reading the following report, one has to pay particular attention to the growing number of registered independents. Voters like me who have come to abhor being registered and identified as an affiliate and loyalist to either Republican or Democrat Party . If only there were a strong / organized third major party! Independents have truly 'had enough' of both parties extremists, past and present presidents, a biased / divisive media, rampant inflation, an inept / dysfunctional Congress, and in having a sense of hopelessness.

Meeting with allies, Biden says that America’s ‘back.’ One question lingers: For how long?

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/polit...?ocid=msedgntp

At another point in his response, Biden cited a series of “statistics” that he suggested bolstered the idea that the Trump era was aberrant.

“I think it’s appropriate to say that the Republican Party is vastly diminished in numbers, the leadership of the Republican Party is fractured, and the Trump wing of the party is the bulk of the party, but it makes up a significant minority of the American people,” Biden said.

Each of these claims is questionable.

It’s not really the case that the party is “vastly diminished,” for example. Despite reports after the election of a number of Republicans changing their party registrations, such incidents were not particularly significant and about the same percentage of the country identifies as Republican as it has for the past six years. It’s also debatable whether the GOP’s leadership is fractured, given recent moves to consolidate its position in support of Trump. It is the case that the GOP makes up a minority of the population, but so does the Democratic Party in an era where a plurality of people call themselves independents.
