If the report does not reach a positive finding, should those involved be involved and suffer the consequences?
Let's see, as I understand the history of this so-called "Russia Collusion:"
You had Trump's opposition actually commit crimes, and the FBI seemingly aided in a cover-up by a rather unsupported exoneration.
In turn, with FBI complicity, you had operatives of the "exonerated," working with, and paying, Fusion GPS, to solicit from citizens of the UK and Russia, synthetic information to create a fictional narrative, which served as a so-called finding to obtain a FISA warrant to start all of this crap.
Then, you had the head of the FBI by his own admission, structure events, leaking classified information to a friend, in order to create, a condition "requiring" the appointment of a special counsel to investigate, and to place into concocted legal jeopardy, the President of the United States.
That counsel's office was created by a Justice Department (with a impotent and perhaps somehow personally compromised leader) replete with functioning "Deep State" operatives, and was supported by "Establishment" Congressional personae of both Republican and Democrat Parties. Together with similar "Deep State" operatives in the intelligence community, this toxic mix negatively impacted the peace and security of the United States for two years.
If your observations are correct Lee, yes, these actors need to be investigated and suffer the consequences.
My only argument with your comment is your use of the term "circus." This was an attempted coup d'etate and those responsible just may have committed sedition, if not treason.
