As a potential nuclear nightmare ticks closer, are you concerned?

The economy, inflation, crime, immigration, debt limit, mishandling of sensitive government documents, pronouns, climate change, banning of gas stoves, fentanyl & suicide deaths, sexual orientation challenges, use of pronouns, etc., now this. How much can one take.

Nuclear nightmare ticks closer: Why any use of nuclear weapons would be a disaster.

    https://www.newsbreakapp.com/n/0kPU1...SvFwa&hl=en_US

The threat of a civilization-ending nuclear war increased this year as Russia repeatedly invoked its mighty nuclear arsenal to deter western nations from intervening during its invasion of Ukraine.

That threat was reflected Tuesday in the setting of the Doomsday Clock which ticked forward to 90 seconds to midnight, the closest it has ever been to signaling an imminent human-created catastrophe.

The nuclear risks are not limited to Russia and its war against Ukraine, Fetter said. "China is building hundreds of nuclear silos. There’s the failure to contain the North Korean and Iranian nuclear programs. And India and Pakistan have increased their nuclear arsenals," he said.

Zelensky’s Advisor Issues Warning to Putin: ‘Escalation is Inevitable’

This is the kind of saber-rattling rhetoric we need not hear! Quite a change from the ‘don’t poke the bear’ early war refrain.

    https://www.newsbreakapp.com/n/0kQgl...SvFwa&hl=en_US

Ukrainian presidential adviser Mikhail Podolyak has warned that the war in Ukraine could eventually reach Russia's largest cities, including the capital, Moscow.

"An internal escalation of the war in Russia is inevitable, and different strikes will be carried out on different targets," Podolyak said in an interview with Russian blogger and journalist Michael Nacke.

Podolyak added: "Cities that are pampered, such as Moscow, St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg will be subject to strikes."
He didn't elaborate on who could be behind such attacks, citing a "lack of information," but said Ukraine would not launch strikes at Russia, because of the "logic of war."

    Scared, you should be!

President Biden promised to send Ukraine 31 Abrams tanks today. The problem is the U.S. doesn’t have 31 tanks in stock and it may take months to fill that order.

The New York Post reported that Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh confirmed that the U.S. does not have enough of M1 Abrams tanks in its stockpile to send over to Ukraine at this time. "We just don’t have these tanks available in excess in our US stocks, which is why it is going to take months to transfer these M1A2 Abrams to Ukraine," Singh told the Post.

The Abrams tanks will be procured through the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative and will not come directly from U.S. stockpiles. The U.S. has already supplied thousands of combat vehicles, including 1,700 Humvees and pledged earlier this month to send another 500 armored vehicles of several types.

While the move was championed as a show of long-term support for Ukraine, it was just a short time ago that the U.S. and its allies were reluctant to send planes and other military equipment for fear of provoking the Russians to use nuclear weapons, no such threat appears to exist now and the U.S. has supplied Ukraine with $97 billion in military aid to protect their border while ignoring its own open border crisis.

All of this and where Ukraine is now threatening to strike Russian territories. All this where war casualties are estimated at 100,000 for Russia and Ukraine and will escalate as the war continues.

Are we risking our own ability to fight a conflict by giving so much material? According to the results of a series of CSIS war games, the United States would likely run out of some munitions, such as long-range precision-guided munitions in less than one week in a Taiwan Strait conflict.

The Strategic Petroleum Reserve has been depleted to its lowest level in decades. There’s a crisis on every corner in this country. Globally, we are dealing with Taiwan, North Korea, Iran and teasing South Korea and Japan. The world is exploiting the weakness we have in the White House.

    WWIII: Are we there yet?

    Frightening media reports:

    • Putin Plans New Ukraine Push Despite Losses as He Prepares for Years of War

    • Russia 'is now locked in a war against the West': Chilling warning from Europe's defense chief as more nations line up to send more tanks and arms to help Ukraine.

    • Last year the U.S. started stockpiling radiation meds. Who is now urging stockpiling radiation meds. Is WHO preparing for nuclear war? Health body publishes list of medicines for nations to stockpile in case of 'radiation or nuclear emergency' as EU warns 'Russia is at war with the West.’

    • President Biden, March 11, 2022:

“The idea that we’re going to send in offensive equipment and have planes and tanks and trains going in with American pilots and American crews — just understand, don’t kid yourself, no matter what y’all say, that’s called World War III."

    • President Biden, January 25, 2023:

"And today — today, I’m announcing that the United States will be sending 31 Abram tanks to Ukraine, the equivalent of one Ukrainian battalion."

    • German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, January 25, 2023:

"We are fighting a war against Russia and not against each other." Baerbock said, according to the A News TV network.

    • France will now be sending fighter jets to Ukraine.

    • The U.S. will be at war with China by 2025

Just had to share this. We all need a laugh.

I think all sports fans and most everybody else will get a kick out of this letter written to the Chicago Tribune. No matter which side you are on in the matter of renaming the Washington Redskins, this is funny. This guy is hilarious...

This is an e-mail sent to Clarence Page of the Chicago Tribune after an article he published concerning a name change for the Washington Redskins.

Dear Mr. Page: I agree with our Native American population. I am highly jilted by the racially charged name of the Washington Redskins. One might argue that to name a professional football team after Native Americans would exalt them as fine warriors, but nay, nay. We must be careful not to offend, and in the spirit of political correctness and courtesy, we must move forward.

Let's ditch the Kansas City Chiefs, the Atlanta Braves and the Cleveland Indians. If your shorts are in a wad because of the reference the name Redskins makes to skin color, then we need to get rid of the Cleveland Browns.

The Carolina Panthers obviously was named to keep the memory of militant Blacks from the 60's alive. Gone. It's offensive to us white folk.

The New York Yankees offend the Southern population. Do you see a team named for the Confederacy? No! There is no room for any reference to that tragic war that cost this country so many young men's lives.

I am also offended by the blatant references to the Catholic religion among our sports team names. Totally inappropriate to have the New Orleans Saints, the Los Angeles Angels, or the San Diego Padres.

Then there are the team names that glorify criminals who raped and pillaged. We are talking about the horrible Oakland Raiders, the Minnesota Vikings, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the Pittsburgh Pirates!

Now, let us address those teams that clearly send the wrong message to our children. The San Diego Chargers promote irresponsible fighting or even spending habits. Wrong message to our children.

The New York Giants and the San Francisco Giants promote obesity, a growing childhood epidemic. Wrong message to our children.

The Cincinnati Reds promotes downers/barbiturates. Wrong message to our children.

The Milwaukee Brewers. Well, that goes without saying. Wrong message to our children.

So, there you go. We need to support any legislation that comes out to rectify this travesty, because the government will likely become involved with this issue, as they should. Just the kind of thing the do-nothing Congress loves.

As a die-hard Oregon State fan, my wife and I, with all of this in mind, suggest it might also make some sense to change the name of the Oregon State women's athletic teams to something other than "the Beavers (especially when they play Southern California. Do we really want the Trojans sticking it to the Beavers???

I always love your articles and I generally agree with them. As for the Redskins name, I would suggest they change the name to the "Foreskins" to better represent their community, paying tribute to the dick heads in Washington DC.

More Americans Cite Gov't as Top U.S. Problem; Inflation Ranks Second

As someone who went grocery shopping and filled up his gas tank this morning, this individual was really upset to see inflation is not improving as reports indicate– especially seeing product sizes diminishing and costs increases.

After reading today’s Gallup poll report it is not surprising to understand why more Americans name the government as the nation’s top problem in Gallup’s latest poll (21%), despite high prices persisting. Inflation remains the second most-cited problem (15%), immigration is third (11%).

What is surprising is a category absent America’s concern on the threat and cost of an escalating global war, its cost, and threat of nuclear war. Regardless, it is a snapshot of what Americans think and worry about, about a president who just this past week declared he sees America stronger than ever.

    https://news.gallup.com/poll/468983/...ks-second.aspx

The government ranks as the top problem for both Republicans and Republican-leaning independents (24%) and Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents (18%). Inflation and immigration are each cited by 18% of Republicans, while mentions of inflation (11%), the economy in general and race relations (9% each) trail the government among Democrats. Democrats are more likely than Republicans to view unifying the country and the environment as top problems.

Currently, more than four in five U.S. adults rate economic conditions in the country as only fair (38%) or poor (45%), with few describing conditions as excellent (2%) or good (15%). Furthermore, 72% of Americans say the economy is getting worse, 22% say it is improving, and 4% think it is staying the same.

Americans’ mentions of the government as the nation’s most important problem have risen significantly in the past month, while inflation remains the next most-cited issue. Fewer name the economy in general, yet when asked about the economy directly, Americans continue to lack confidence in its current and future health. Views of the job market remain largely positive, but they are diminished from one year ago. While the U.S. unemployment rate remains relatively low, recent layoffs in the technology sector could affect opinions about the job market, and possibly the broader economy, in the coming months.

Democrats in bad shape with Biden and Harris

Americans in a recent Gallup poll cited government as the top U.S. problem, declaring the country is headed in the wrong direction, where poll numbers indicate the majority of Americans do not want to see Biden or Trump endorsed / elected in 2024, and even more telling are the claws coming out by Democrats to dump Kamala Harris from consideration for any office in 2024.

    Joe Biden, Lord, and Savior?

While 66% of Americans voice living paycheck-to-paycheck, declare failing government leadership is their foremost concern, where 70% of Americans voice America is headed in the wrong direction, president Biden and his lackey media cohorts believe his policies are working and that he will be considered America’s savior in 50 years.

The New York Times published a column by Bret Stephens on Tuesday that made the case that President Joe Biden has the potential "to be seen as the savior of the free world" in fifty years if he is able to thwart Russia's invasion of Ukraine and confront other global challenges (climate change) successfully.

Where recent polls put climate change far down the list of concerns for Americans, Biden now claims climate change is the existential threat to mankind, far distancing the fear of nuclear war, a burgeoning border crisis, inflation, crime, etc. So much so that his time is spent on more important things than a mishandled document scandal that he earlier said he took very seriously, provoking Russia for fear of nuclear conflict, etc.

It was reported today by Ukraine President Zelenskyy in another gloomy assessment that the situation on the front lines in eastern Ukraine has become tougher as Russian forces step up an offensive. Russia is not going away, any time soon.

Russia has gained momentum on the battlefield, announcing advances north and south of the city of Bakhmut, its main target for months. Locations of reported fighting clearly indicate incremental Russian advances. Russia is not going away and this proxy war will continue with significant cost of lives, treasure, and extreme hardship to the Ukrainians.

The New York Times is all in on Mr. Biden. What am I missing?

BTW - Putin says Russia faces German tanks, just like at Stalingrad, but hints that this time Moscow has nukes. Russia is mobilizing 500,000 troops to attack and do something ‘big’. Not to worry, Biden and his propaganda machine are assuring us things are just peachy. We can keep our gas stoves.
When he gets caught up working on some really important stuff, Biden will look into the crises at our / Ukraine borders, crime, inflation, etc.

Joe Biden has a lot to answer for

As a lifelong unaffiliated registered voter, I have made my dislike for Donald Trump and Joe Biden equally known – and wish to see neither on the 2024 presidential ballot. It appears the majority of voters voice the same. It worries me when Biden receives praise that he unduly may not deserve – as he readily takes credit for everything that goes right and rejects and/or blames others for his failures in domestic and foreign policy.

    • President Joe Biden now says he wanted to destroy an alleged Chinese spy balloon as soon as he learned about it, but the week-long delay before it was finally shot down may actually work in his favor. Is he to believed when he lies or refuses to answer questions on so many occasions.

    • Joe Biden clearly has a lot to answer for when it comes to the recent disclosures that somehow classified documents have been scattered all over various properties he owns. Mishandling of documents he took so seriously when they were in Trump's possession.

    • His confusion was evident throughout the month, as Biden sang happy birthday to Martin Luther King III’s wife at his MLK breakfast but appeared to forget her name. He mistakenly said "July 6" at an event in remembrance of the January 6, 2021 riot at the Capitol. He paused to remember the name of the position of Secretary Defense, which he called the "secretary of the military" during a speech on Ukraine.

    • He struggled on several occasions during a speech on the border with Vice President Kamala Harris, who he once again mistakenly referred to as president.

    • Biden said "20,000 lbs. of fentanyl is enough to kill 1,000 people in this country," a massive math error, as that amount of fentanyl could kill an estimated 4 billion people.

    • As he left a recent press conference, he was asked if he was monitoring the heated election for speaker of the House.

"I'm following with great... uhh... How do I say it?" Biden asked.

"Attention," Harris said to help him finish the sentence.

    "Attention," Biden repeated.

    • The 80-year-old Biden falsely claimed Delaware has the most chickens in the nation.

    • Biden told a confusing story about his youth at an event on infrastructure in Kentucky. "I’ll paraphrase the phrase of my old neighborhood: The rest of the countries — the world is not a patch in our jeans. If we do what we wanna do, we need to do," Biden said.

    • "Do you take any blame for inflation?" one reporter recently asked. "No," Biden responded. "Remember what the economy was like when I got here? Jobs were hemorrhaging, inflation was rising. We weren't manufacturing a damn thing here. We were in real economic difficulty. That's why I don't," the president said.

The consumer price index for January 2021, when President Biden took office, was 1.4%. The most recent inflation reading, for December 2022, was 6.5% year over year. Inflation was 1.4% when Biden took office. By April, after the passage of his $1.9 trillion “American Rescue Plan” giveaway, it hit 4.16%. By June 2022 (after even more runaway spending), it topped 9%.

    • “Let’s treat each other with respect.” That was President Joe Biden’s message to Republicans coming out of Thursday’s National Prayer Breakfast. In his inauguration speech: “Let’s start afresh, all of us. Let’s begin to listen to one another again,” he pleaded then. “Politics doesn’t have to be a raging fire, destroying everything in its path. Every disagreement doesn’t have to be a path to total war.”

He followed those words with two years of ramming through Democrats’ big-spending agenda over all GOP opposition and with no negotiation

    • Biden said a vote for Republicans was “un-American” during the 2022 election cycle. Bonnie Cash – Pool via CNP / MEGA

    • Then there was that speech last year warning that “Democracy is on the ballot” and a vote for Republicans was “un-American.”

President Joe Biden is as big and self-serving a liar as Donald Trump / George Santos —about his record, not just his resumé.

Biden owes the country an honest State of the Union address.

On several of the Sunday morning news shows, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg claimed (in various iterations) that Biden’s administration achieved “the biggest job gains in history,” while at the same time “bringing down inflation.”

ABC anchor Chuck Todd seemingly can’t wrap his head around the fact that President Biden's accomplishments in office aren't resonating with the American public. In an interview on NBC’s "Meet the Press" on Sunday, Todd asked Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg why American voters have failed to embrace Biden’s accomplishments in office, telling Buttigieg that despite his unpopularity with the public, Biden has "got a lot of things to tout."

"I will say that there have been so many accomplishments under this administration, it can be difficult to list them in a distilled way," Buttigieg said. “This President has exceeded expectations again and again politically and functionally in terms of what we're getting done."

Buttigieg boasted that the economy had added “12 million jobs” since Biden took office. He spoke on Biden’s accomplishment of reducing inflation.

    Jobs

When Biden took office, the country already had added back about 11 million of the 22 million jobs it lost because of all the government-ordered business shutdowns in the early months of the coronavirus pandemic. Do the math, and it means that it took almost another two years just to catch up from artificially caused job losses related to the worst pandemic in modern medical history. It was only three months ago that the job economy reached its pre-pandemic levels.

    Inflation

Of course, it’s coming down. It couldn't have gotten any higher under Biden. The year-to-year inflation rate is now 6.5%. It was 1.4% when he took office in January 2021, 4.6% by April 2021, 9.1% in June of 2022.

    Public dissatisfaction with Biden

Despite all those so-called Biden ‘accomplishments’ a new ABC News/Washington Post poll found the highest number of Americans in four decades say they are worse off under the current administration.

The poll, released Sunday, found that four in 10 Americans say their financial situation has gotten worse since President Joe Biden took office, which is “the most in ABC News/Washington Post polls dating back 37 years,” according to ABC News. Forty-one percent of those polled said they are financially worse off now than they were prior to Biden taking office, which is the most since ABC News/Washington Post polls started asking that question in 1986. Just 16% of those polled said they were better off under Biden.

In his State of the Union address Joe Biden must also answer for the state of crisis his failed policies have created - surging prices at the grocery store and the gas pump, skyrocketing crime, a southern border crisis with skyrocketing financial, humanitarian and fentanyl deaths, Ukraine, etc.

Joe Biden Should Pass on Giving the State of the Union Speech

In all honesty, does anyone really give a **** / trust what Joe Biden says anymore?

Yes, Trump lied and should never be allowed to step foot in the White House again. Biden should be removed from the White House and never permitted back.

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/polit...b73609f173199c

Do you care what Joe Biden says during his State of the Union speech tomorrow night?

    I know I don't.

While I will likely watch - sadly, yes, it's a beltway thing, something like must-see TV of sorts - millions of Americans won't. And good for them.

And honestly, I wish he wasn't giving the damn speech in the first place.

    Honestly, what is the point?

Many argue that President Joe Biden legally must give the speech - but that isn't exactly true.

Here is what the Constitution says:

It explains that the President “shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient.” (You can find this in Article II, Section 3, Clause 1).

In fact, a brief look at U.S. history shows that the in-person, primetime speech is a more recent event than most people realize.

While such events are indeed history, let me get to the point of why they largely don't matter: do you even remember what Joe Biden said last year? Thinks hard. I don't.

Let me broaden this out a little more: Do you remember any of Donald Trump's State of the Union speeches? And no, I am not talking about the time Nancy Pelosi ripped out Trump's speech - that was pretty epic. I won't forget that for sure.

My point is this: Is there any time in U.S. history when the standard State of the Union speech fundamentally altered the political direction of the nation in an epic or a massively historical way for a really long stretch of time?

    I say no way.

    SOTUS: Finishing the job

It appears from last night’s State of the Union address Mr. Biden plans to run in 2024 to finish ‘the job’. Considering 50% of voters are voicing they are worse off today than when Biden took office (a small percentage better); where 75% voice the country is headed in the wrong direction; where 66% saying they are living paycheck-to-paycheck; where the majority of Americans don’t want to see Biden (or Trump) run in 2024, it is not difficult to understand why Republicans acted ‘unruly’ when they were being admonished / chastised; and with falsehoods, not facts.

The Democratic talking heads loved Biden’s fiery speech skewering the Republicans while expressing disgust at Republican outbursts in their defense as being vitriolic racist, gender, sexist, etc.

Democratic strategist James Carville insisted that they were an example of the party’s "White trashdom" on display. “Well, you know, I told people, I have a PH.D. in White trashology, and you saw real White trash on display. Let me say something about Congressman Marjorie Taylor Greene, she dresses like White trash. She really needs a fashion consultant. I recommend George Santos. He could do a good job of dressing up where she doesn’t announce her White trashdom by her own clothes," Carville said.

Carville added: "It’s just – the level of White trashdom in the Republican Party is staggering. I mean, for somebody that has observed it for a long time like I have, I’ve never seen it manifest itself on a level that it’s manifesting itself."

AOC says the GOP is reviving a 'legacy of slavery' by ending non-citizen voting rights in DC. She and the Squad also claim, There is nothing consistent with the Republican Party’s continued attack, except for the racism and incitement of violence against women of color.

If Biden and his cohorts believe they had the better of it last night, I did not see it. If the Republicans believe they had the better of it last night, I did not see it. I seen the American people as losers, governed by a bunch of losers, polarized by ‘fools on the hill’ serving in their own best interests. We have a country that is sick with no medical help available.

Biden gets defensive for calling him out

Biden: No one is paying attention

Biden would have us believe that no one is following the Hunter Biden story, national polling, his culpability in the handling of sensitive government documents, rather blaming everyone for his shortcomings and in the process telling some big falsehoods and/or narrative exaggerations that the public is no longer buying.

The left mainstream media fact-checkers all but disappeared when he was elected president declaring there was no need to fact-check ‘honest Joe.’ But the Hill just did some fact-checking this past week and did report on the ‘biggest seven lies’ Mr. Biden told in the past week.

The seven biggest lies Biden told this week
    The Hill

President Biden’s State of the Union address was full of lies and mistruths. They betray the desperation of a president with 38 percent job approval on the economy, 16 percent of the population better off than before he took office, and most of his own party wanting a different White House nominee in 2024.

    Seven biggest lies:

1: “Take-home pay has gone up.”
    2. “We have created a record 12 million new jobs.”
3: “[I have presided over] the largest deficit reduction in American history.”
4: “Two years ago, our economy was reeling.”
5: Oil companies have “invested too little of their profit to increase domestic production and keep gas prices down.”
6: “Now, thanks to all we’ve done, we’re exporting American products.”
7: The wealthy don’t “pay their fair share.”

While grocery shopping this morning and filling up the car with gas, I couldn’t help thinking of another Biden lie, ‘inflation is easing.’

His hypocrisy is unbelievable. People are not stupid! They will not forget inflation, high energy costs, burgeoning / burdening illegal immigration, crime, irresponsible spending, and an unsustainable debt load.

LMAO on Biden’s promise to tax the rich, where no one earning less than $400,000 will see a tax increase. Biden is now considering going after those ‘rich waitresses.”
