While the chaos continues, where children are suffering intolerable abuse, where illegal immigrants are escaping capture at more than double the pace of a year ago, the focus is on everything but the crisis.

The Hill did post a report on the situation at the border and for possible resolve, one that would be abhorrent to an administration that is going out of its way to destroy every vestige of the Trump legacy. Trump's border plan wasn't working anyway, right?

BTW – Who is really running the country and taking it far left?
It is strange Lee, but the Biden administration and the military elite are more concerned with "defending" Ukraine's border than the vestiges of the Trump rampart.

How about the idiot walking dead President calling the winner of the Masters that “Japanese boy” when speaking with the Prime Minister of Japan. Wonder if he ever referred to Tiger Woods as that “colored boy” when he won it? Of course Asian-Americans are the racial target de jour of the Democratic Totalitarians lately so it’s no surprise he would insult the Masters winner to the face of the Japanese Prime Minister.

Hey Grump, Biden has always been a walking gaffe.

Biden's memory must have fogged-out the memories of MLK, Thurgood Marshall, Andrew Young, Julian Bond, Coleman Young, and Mayor Tom Bradley as well as the background of Robert Byrd, when he dropped this 2007 Golden Oldie:

"I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that's a storybook, man."

    — Joe Biden, describing fellow candidate Barack Obama. The remark was made the same day Biden filed the official paperwork to launch his presidential campaign.

    Hypocrisy and absurdity

Trump was often maligned, held accountable in the mainstream media and even called the ‘liar-in-chief’. Biden gets to lie, waffle, misstate and gets a pass.

Crisis at the border wall, Biden and the media blame Trump. Biden punts the border ‘situation to Harris, Harris punts back and the media left is silent.

Biden ups the number of refugees allowed from 15,000 to 60,000, changes his mind, but uncertain as to final number. Media silence.

Russia bad, says Biden. China ties still unknown. Biden and liberal media and Big Tech silent on their false claims of Russia paying bounty on American soldiers in Afghanistan.

Less than 30% of $1.9 of stimulus package goes to individuals in need. Major portion of $2 trillion in infrastructure plan not going for infrastructure. Billions of dollars going for Medicaid staffing raises based on their joining the union. Lies, where if Trump were in office, he would be savaged. A double standard is the only standard the left has going for it.

Congresswoman Tlaib and others call for abolishing the police and incarceration. The police are inherently racist, intentionally racist in their jobs, and militaristic (no need to carry weapons. Abolish, not defunding and/or reforming the police. Despite near 80% of Americans not supporting defunding the police, police are resigning in large numbers across the country feeling untrusted and unsupported – combating individuals resisting arrest, taunting / calling them the vilest names, doing whatever that will not lead to a good outcome.

We should expect reform in policing behavior, but not in the offender, right? Well, what could possibly go wrong?

Why does the media's unwarranted hyperventilation following the first Reagan-Mondale debate in 1984 come into my mind, and when compared with your post Lee, why does that recollection make me frustrated, if not angry?

That is pretty comical and why would anyone be surprised! It captures his career in a nutshell.

I cannot view the video without expressing sadness and concern for our country..

Sadness for the man and others suffering from a cognitive diminishment illness – some brilliant and productive at one time and some no longer functional. Seen too many of them in my lifetime.

What is sad is that Biden is our president at a time where the mainstream media continues to focus on trashing Trump for every spoken word / activity but will not acknowledge Biden’s unscripted mutterings and shield's him in the process.

The individual that sent me the video advised I watch it ASAP as it most likely will be pulled by Big Tech. The man is an embarrassment on the National and World stage.

Three months in office and there is still anarchy on the streets, a Biden created border crisis, a call to abolish the police, schools and businesses still shut down, significant increases in killings / crime, reckless spending, etc. - and it’s still Trumps fault.

Sad to see that voters who hated Trump so much were hoodwinked into believing Biden was a moderate. Sad to see what is taking place in America. Who is really driving the bus?

Maxine Waters calls for protesters to get more confrontational.

The January 6th Capitol riot lasted one day. One life was lost, and hundreds arrested. Trump was blamed for inciting the riot and continues to be savaged by the Democrats and liberal media relentlessly.

Maxine Waters has openly incited violence several times in the past and now encourages Black Lives Matter and Antifa organizations to stay on the streets and protest more confrontationally. Burn more buildings? Loot more businesses. Injure more police? Is this continuance of street violence what 80 million voters expected when voting for Biden?

Anarchy in the streets, the new norm. Abolish the police. Scary times.

I find MW to be one of the most offensive individual to date. Our double standard governing will not censor her nor will they hold her to the same standard they held Marjorie Greene. If she isn't held accountable, well...I don't know what to say to that....

Maxine Waters is but one of the many despicable characters on both sides of the political aisle.

George Will’s column on Patriotism today gives a sense of the depth of the ideological political divide facing us, why there is no chance for resolve, and why our country is being torn apart from within – with the aid of a radical socialist left and supporting hypocritical mainstream media.

I believe the great majority of Americans see this ridiculousness for what it’s worth, want it to end, but are being relentlessly polarized by wackos on both sides of the political aisle and their supporting media. Whose best interests are being served? Certainly not the country’s!

Some on the right mistake their compound of grievances and resentments for patriotism. This mentality – separating “real” or “true” Americans from the rest – is akin to the ethno-nationalism that festers in Europe. It also is a sibling of the left’s identity politics of group memberships: In the right’s identity politics, the nation is the only group that matters.

Today, for many on the right, patriotism is a grim tabulation of regrets about things lost, and animosity toward those who supposedly caused the losses. What some on the left call patriotism is often an agenda- cum-indictment, a determination to make the United States less awful than they say it has been and is.

“Progressivism has become less concerned with improving on the past than with erasing it.” Smith is being delicate.

Dissent can be patriotic. But a constant curdled dissent, in the form of disdain for the nation’s past that produced its present, is incompatible with patriotism.

Those who believe that the nation’s real founding was the arrival of slaves in 1619, that the American Revolution was fought to defend slavery, that the nation remains saturated with “systemic racism,” that the economic system has always been fundamentally exploitive, that the social order is rotten with injustice and that even the nation’s most revered historical figures are unworthy of respect – those who think like this can be credited with moral earnestness, but not with patriotism: They cannot love what they will not praise.

Patriotism, too, is a disposition – a “peculiarly conservative” one. It is “akin to gratitude” and “rooted in a rudimentary, even primordial love of one’s own: the customs, habits, manners, and traditions that make us who and what we are.” Patriotism suggests “an extended family,” which we love because it has “nurtured and sustained us through good times and bad.”

“For progressives,” Smith writes, “patriotism is not so much loyalty to an already established nation, but an aspiration to a country still to be accomplished.” And: “Progressivism has become less concerned with improving on the past than with erasing it.” Smith is being delicate.

Today’s media reports – Scared? You should be!

Oppose any agenda proposed by the far left and you are deemed racist or a white supremist as Ted Cruz was today.

Calling packing the court a ‘boneheaded’ idea (power grab) yeas ago, Biden now interested.

Biden considering ‘Border adjustment tax’ on countries not living up to climate change obligations.

Biden insurgents want to reject all that came before us.

Far left has declared war on White Americans and police officers.

    Demonization of police:

Media controls the narrative to divide us.

Previously, undocumented immigrants were subject to fines of up to $799 per day if they didn't comply with deportation orders.

America on the road to decadence following far left agenda and reckless spending:

John Kerry speaking on climate change and telling us to do our part to combat air pollution and going green. Scared? You should be! $100 billion has been set aside to help those earning minimum wage and/or on fixed incomes to buy electric vehicles and put solar panels on their roofs.

Dr. Fauci’s new mask guideline: Even after getting both Covid vaccinations, wear a mask when swimming.

Belly up to the bar boys, the drinks are on Uncle Sam – who got the money from the rich kids.

Lee when I read the part about Fauci's new mask guideline, I laughed

I just read an article regarding swimming and its effect on Covid. From the swimming.org site titled, "Swimming pool water inactivates Covid-19 virus in 30 seconds, according to a new study"

"It looked at the effects of swimming pool water on the virus that causes Covid-19 name SARS-CoV-2, to assess the amount of time and contact needed to inactivate the virus in varying chlorine and pH levels. Research established that 1.5 mg per liter of free chlorine with a pH between 7-7.2 reduced the infectivity of the virus by more than 1000 fold within 30 seconds. "

So the question I would ask is why would anyone wear a mask while swimming? He has lost so much credibility, in fact I find him reckless and foolish.

=shortstuff;1977328]Lee when I read the part about Fauci's new mask guideline, I laughed

After going out to dinner today, enjoying seeing smiling, laughing faces in a fully seated restaurant and with people waiting to be seated, I come home and read a CDC report that dampens any hope that ‘normalcy is near at hand. Especially for seniors like the wife and I who continue to wear masks and follow the prescribed guidelines since March of 202 and after being fully vaccinated over a month ago..

As of April 23, over 91 million Americans are fully vaccinated against the CCP virus.

The number of recorded COVID-19 cases among Americans who have been fully vaccinated against the virus that causes it is now 7,157. Nearly 500 people who contracted COVID-19 despite being fully vaccinated required hospital care, though about a third of their illnesses were deemed unrelated to COVID-19. Eighty-eight, or 1 percent of the breakthrough patients, died. Eleven of the deaths were reported as not showing symptoms or not related to the disease.

None of the vaccines provide full protection, so health officials and experts say the breakthrough cases are not a cause for concern. “While there are breakthrough cases and they are not surprising, they are exceedingly rare and in no way undermine the value of mass vaccination.

CDC also continues to recommend people who have been fully vaccinated should keep taking precautions in public places, like wearing a mask, staying at least 6 feet apart from others, avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces, and washing their hands often.

So rare in fact, that the percentage of Covid to vaccination rate is 0.0079%, the hospitalization rate is 0.0006%, and death rate 0.000089%. Yet, we are advised by the CDC to take precautions in public places, like wearing a mask, staying at least 6 feet apart from others, avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces, and washing their hands often.

Think it’s safe to go into the water? That normalcy is near? No matter what we do to comply, the CDC and Fauci will be there to scare the hell out of us!

Vaccinated or not, continue wearing your masks while driving alone in your car and when swimming!
