This is a well-deserved honor for Town Clerk and Deputy Supervisor Terranova. Ms. Terranova's selection would seem to illustrate the non-partisan wisdom of Supervisor Leary.
Lancaster is fortunate to have two such dedicated leaders.
While attending the New York State conference for Town Clerks and Deputy Town Clerks, Lancaster Town Clerk Diane Terranova was commemorated by committee for best following Margret Lamoree’s vision of professional development of town clerk’s as administrative leaders. There were over 300 clerk’s present.
Well-deserved Ms. Terranova!
Terranova was presented the following plague:

LIDA Member Rinow to Member Ruda: You were a sitting Trustee on the Board. Did you help support Mr. Sweeney getting a seat on the CDC Board?"
Mark, that really is good news for the Lancaster residents.
Now they can be assured the Town is really headed in the right direction with its new leadership team. As I have clearly noted, not all is a bowl of cherries within the day to day workings and relationships between the many parts of the TOL government. But the selection of the town's Clerk to receive that auspicious award and recognition is proof certain that this Town Board will keep issues above board and in a transparent manner. Her seat of importance was instantly raised to a very high level upon the new boards seating. With that came a reliance on her words of wisdom about many things that before were given no credence, just as she given by the previous regime of her own party.
With his selection of her Mr. Leary showed himself to the voters. It's a good look.
Let me be crystal clear. Any and all respect, awards or recognition laid at Diane Terranova feet were earned solely by her while honestly serving to the very best of her ability, no matter the affiliation of those who needed her service. KUDOS DIANE TERRANOVA....
Want to run for office and serve properly? Take a hard look at her career all.
I really don't know if there is truly significant discord within the town government, but with Ms. Terranova's impeccable reputation and "unmatched" knowledge base, if such discord does exist, perhaps all parties would be well served if they would turn to the Deputy Supervisor for unbiased counsel and practical facilitation?
I think that she would be a superb, experienced voice for reason, and one who could also in some practical way(s), smooth the turbulent waters honestly, fairly and impartially.
What say you GC?
