More recently, however, in many venues the quiet hegemony of covert decisions has been turning into an explicit regime, confidently exercising its prerogatives. There are a lot of theories about why, and probably there are a lot of actual reasons, too, but clearly, it is happening in spaces that used to brand themselves as neutral. Sure, Twitter insists that the Biden story violated prior policy about publishing potentially hacked materials, lest the platform encourage further malfeasance — but would Twitter apply that standard to the recent New York Times investigation of Trump’s tax returns, considering that whoever leaked them to the Times quite possibly committed a federal crime?

But such actions can only call attention to how lopsided and largely unaccountable the left’s own power is in the cultural sphere. There’s a reason that President Trump likes to spotlight that imbalance too — and market himself as the necessary corrective. So if you want to hasten him out of office, a preemptive self-balancing, rather than a more muscular tilt, might be the counterweight America actually needs.

Think on that for a second and how it relates to free speech and how not agreeing with the left leads to intimidation, baseless character assassination claims, and worse.

Just listened to this in its entirety. If Giuliani is not credible, Trump is done. If an investigation proves Biden is culpable, he, the left, the mainstream media, Twitter, Facebook, et al show clearly how hypocritical / corrupt they have become. Biden is deserving of the same investigative grinder Trump was put through.

Trump says info found on Hunter Biden’s laptop is the ‘real deal’

President Trump on Sunday said the damning information contained on Hunter Biden’s laptop about his business dealings in Ukraine – as The Post revealed last week – is the “REAL DEAL” and cannot be denied.

“Hunter Biden’s laptop is a disaster for the entire Biden family, but especially for his father, Joe. It is now a proven fact, and cannot be denied, that all of that info is the REAL DEAL,” the president wrote on Twitter.

“That makes it impossible for ‘50%, or 10%’ Joe, to ever assume the office of the President!,” Trump continued.

A little more than an hour later, he credited his “former hometown” tabloid for its reporting.

“Very proud of the @nypost, my former ‘hometown newspaper’. They have said and shown what everyone knows about Sleepy Joe Biden. He is a CORRUPT POLITICIAN!!! ,” he said.

Trump said the proof of Biden’s involvement with his son was contained in the laptop.

“Joe Biden is a corrupt politician, and everybody knows it. Now you have the proof, perhaps like never was had before on a major politician. Laptop plus. This is the second biggest political scandal in our history!,” Trump said.

He was referring to a report in The Post last Wednesday that Hunter Biden introduced his father, who was at the time President Barack Obama’s vice president, to a top executive at Burisma, a Ukrainian energy firm whose board he sat on.

The meeting took place a year before Biden called for the ouster of a top Ukrainian prosecutor.

Vadym Pozharskyi, an adviser to the Burisma board, thanked Hunter Biden for the “opportunity” to meet his father in an email sent on April 17, 2015.

The message was found on the hard drive of a laptop that the son allegedly dropped off at a Delaware computer shop and never returned to pick up.

Has either Biden been asked if the computer in question is Hunter’s and what their answers were?

I am not a fan of hacking, not comfortable how this information was garnered, leaked, and disseminated, but is it any different than what the media and left has done to Trump over four years.

In fairness, this bears investigation.
