Trump and DeVos want schools ‘fully’ open, but not many are listening

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/tr...?ocid=msedgdhp

President Trump and Education Secretary Betsy DeVos spent much of this week pressuring and cajoling schools to reopen. DeVos, in particular, made clear she means five days a week. But school systems across the country have already decided on models where students learn from home part of the time.

Some districts are considering full-time, in-person school for children who need special attention, he said, but none are planning it for everyone.

Many rural districts, though, are planning to have kids in school full-time, she said.

The administration has been backed up by the American Academy of Pediatrics, which recommends that all schools try to open fully, citing the academic and social-emotional damage done when children miss school. But on Friday, the AAP, in a joint statement with teachers unions and superintendents, said that schools in areas with high levels of covid-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, should not be compelled to reopen against the advice of local experts. “A one-size-fits-all approach is not appropriate for return to school decisions,” they said.

One size doesn’t fit all. It has been reported that 75% of parents want their children back in school. It has not been reported what percentage of families need their children back in school to allow them to return to work; to find / afford day care centers or family to attend to the children when they do; how many children would be deprived of devices or Internet availability to home school?

Schools must open at some time – and soon. How to do so safely is a monumental task. I am so appreciative to not have school age children at home - or grandchildren attending school.

While the mantra has always been, “It’s for the kids,” parents are being conflicted by the politics played by the Democrats and Republicans. Scary stuff.

    Stupid is as stupid does

New York City Mayor de Blasio well fits that rebuke for:

    • For commissioning artists to paint "Black Lives Matter" on Fifth Avenue outside Trump Tower. How infantile!

    • We have to wear masks, practice social distancing, and not gather in groups over 10, but if you are protesting you can stand together, you can hug and squeeze unmasked and you're not going to get COVID-19 according to de Blasio. De Blasio has banned mass gatherings by denying permits, but the protests can go on.

    • For supporting and indulging the "Black Lives Matter" organization. Former Mayor Giuliani claims it is not a benign organization, but a violent organization run by three Marxists and financed by a convicted terrorist -- who I happened to have convicted, who got 58 years in jail and got a corrupt pardon from Bill Clinton," he said.

    • De Blasio has denigrated the police and shifted $1 billion from the NYPD budget to programs that assist in youth and community development while a bloody Fourth of July weekend saw 64 New Yorkers shot, 11 fatally. In all, the city recorded 205 shootings in the month of June, a 130 percent increase over the 89 shootings that took place in the same month last year.

All of the lock-downs, social distancing, and restricts are for our own good, or so we have been, and continue to be, told.

The "Fifteen Days To Stop The Spread" has now turned into "Four Months Of Spread The Stop;" fifteen weeks of government-controlled uncertainty, fortified with omnipresent whispers of a "Second Wave" which serves to reduce hope and increase anxiety.

In fact, Pope Fauci, said this week that the recent spike in cases in some states was not reflective of a "Second Wave," but a sure sign that America is still "Knee-Deep" into its "First Wave."

    Reference: https://www.theguardian.com/world/20...-130000-deaths

Moreover, ever the optimist, our little dictator has faithfully painted dark prospects for America's prognosis. From The USA TODAY:

Anthony Fauci warns US is 'knee-deep' in first wave of coronavirus cases and prognosis is 'really not good"

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2020/07/06/anthony-fauci-us-coronavirus-surge-really-not-good/5388472002/

However, is it not fair to question Dr. Fauci's expert credibility, if not his truthfulness, in light of his reversed position regarding the effectiveness of masks?

    From Business Insider:

Fauci said US government held off promoting face masks because it knew shortages were so bad that even doctors couldn't get enough

Is it not time to wonder if all of the restrictions of the Covid crisis are truly to safeguard public health, or is the "New Normal" just code for a heavy-handed future?

The linked video does not answer that question, but does suggest some curious thoughts about the effects of some of the restriction and lock-downs, and what such effects may actually constitute:

De Blasio is hard for any American to swallow: A unique bitter blend of Abraham Beame and David Dinkins, violently mixed in a Saul Alinsky shaker, which yields a tall glass of Marxist hemlock.

    Hey Mark:

It is well worth listening to and should make one pause to introspect to better determine what to believe in what is being fed to us by ‘medical experts’, the left and media - whether such information is indeed based on obtaining control and advancing a ‘new norm’ or World Order establishment.

Fear / anxiety / panic abound. Elements used to gain control. Big Brother is here!
