Confused by the 'staff' reference. This was a letter that appeared in today's Buffalo News Everybody's Column and written by Nicholas D. Mecca as stated at closure.

Right underneath the title was a "By Staff" credit. My bad Mr. C.

Kudos to Mr. Mecca; I agree with him totally.

Wow, that hate, lying, SOB Trump stuff by the Left and mainstream media took a backseat today with Retired General John Kelly’s impassioned speech against the rendering of the Trump/Sgt. Johnson military death phone call by Congresswoman Frederica Wilson; the cover-up of the bribery, corruption and collusion scandal of the Uranium One Deal and where some of the real players in a true collusion event are now investigating the non existent Trump Russian collusion allegations; and the actual truth on the Puerto Rico aide status and the condition of the territory prior to the devastating storms.

And, in listening to the exchange at today’s conference with the Puerto Rican Governor I did not hear Trump give himself a ‘10’ for the effort, but instead recognized FEMA, the military and first responders as deserving a ‘10’. And to hear pundits alleging that the perceived aide delay was racially motivated when 70% of the Puerto Rican citizens identify themselves as white is absurd and another attempt to distract from the reality.

How refreshing to get news that paints today’s media and the Left as the hypocritical, lying cover-up, hate filled and insensitive group as they label the opposition they daily attack; tired of the ‘fake news’.

This entire business concerning the President's call to the soldier's wife is sick. If Trump were smart, I would have marginalized Representative Wilson's comments by saying something on the order of:

"Placing such telephone calls is one of the hardest duties I perform.

Under such circumstances, I always speak from my heart, not from a script, so perhaps my emotions impact my exact word choices, and cloud my intended sentiment.

No words, from no President, can be ever be adequate enough. Even President Lincoln observed this dilemma in his famous letter to Mrs. Bixby:

'I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming.'"

Nevertheless, I leave it exclusively for the family to decide if my words were adequate, and my if intentions were heartfelt.

With that being said, that private conversation has no place in the world of political discourse."

But, Trump will be Trump. Thank God for General Kelly.

Do you guys even know the whole story to this? Do you know the part that the nation of Chad played in it? Do have any iota of the back story here?
Let me articulate this for you:

The back story may very well reside in the foreign policy weeds. I get it. But, that is a different topic for a different day.

But do those "weeds" diminish the sincerely conveyed, albeit negatively cast, expression of sympathy of a grateful nation? This is opportunistically exploited politics at its very worse.

What about Chad; which is east of Niger and not mentioned in any of the media releases I have read and has nothing to do with president’s phone call?

    Like the release below:

Chad, a poor nation in central Africa, bordering on Niger has a very fierce military and has led the fight against Muslim Extremists in the area, who are trying to start a caliphate. Chad's military has kept the Muslims at bay. Chad is an ally in the war on terror. Chad has oil reserves and contracts with Exxon-Mobile.

Exxon Mobile was billed 74 Billion dollars by Chad for not paying Royalties. This was while Rex Tillerson was CEO of Exxon Mobile. http://www.businessinsider.com/chad-...n-fine-2016-10

On September 24th, without consulting the security council, Trump's Administration releases an updated list of countries to it's ban list.
1, N. Korea - which sounds logical, although I can't imagine too many N Koreans are trying to apply for Visas to visit the USA.
    2, Venezuela
3, inexplicably, Chad. Chad, our ally in the fight against Boko Haram, the best of the soldiers in the Central Africa. Chad, who billed the new US Secretary 74 Billion dollars. Connect the dots.

Immediately, Chad pulls it's troops out of Niger, out of the battle and announces on this on September 29th, with frustration at being added to the list of nations that Trump released. Leaving American troops without their normal escorts.
Immediately Boko Haram's attacks in the region step up.
4 American soldiers, poorly equipped and without their escorts from Chad are killed and to this day Trump refuses to speak about it.

    Connect the dots, fellas.
Let me articulate this for you:

If a President is not speaking out on a ongoing military issue, the President may have a very valid reason for not doing so.

It would be far easier for me to connect those dots if I had access to the intelligence that President Trump has.

The Niger issue appears to arise from the world of strategic problems, unlike the limited world of Benghazi, which is said to have been occasioned by have been a spontaneous reaction (cough) to a distasteful video (coughing my ass off), and not a pre-planned terrorist operation.

Thank you for the Chad conspiratorial tutorial, HipKat.

So how does this conspiracy narrative of yours tie into the phone call made by Trump to Sgt. Johnson’s spouse? If you are theorizing that Sgt. Johnson’s death should have never occurred and therefore no phone call ever made, that is speculation.

Regardless, a phone call was made, both parties involved (Trump/Kelly & Wilson) are involved in shade; leading now to another racist charge made against white supremacists; further diving the country. Wilson leaks a private phone message, portends to not hate Trump, but was one of the first ones to call for Trump’s impeachment.

And while the media feasts on this the Nuclear One scandal receives miniscule media coverage. They all suck, HipKat, but you chose to hate the president and continue to defend the one side who spouts tolerance and inclusion and yet practices hate and resist policies that adversely impact the best interests of this country.

I may be a deplorable by having voted for Trump but your side created him by running Hillary and having a divisive message of excluding those who dared to question your policies – especially threatening free speech with political correctness and identity politics.

Until we stop the he said / she said fake news crap and find common ground, we are so ****ed!

    Simple Lee,

The left is creating a Niger narrative to mirror the Benghazi circumstances. Mrs. Johnson is the left's Pat Smith. General Kelly's role will mirror that of Susan Rice.

To summarize, the Trump conversation with Mrs. Johnson "controversy" is a hoped-for checkmate to Hillary Clinton's conversation with Pat Smith, with contrived racial overtones.

It is thinly veiled and all soooo obvious.

The phone call is another issue. The problem is that you two ignore anything that doesn’t fit your “deplorable” agenda. Chad pulled out because of the list. They announced this. Everything I posted is fact, not speculation.

Or is it just a coincidence that Chad fines Exxon-Mobile and the former CEO is the Secretary of State?

Again, the issue presented was the phone call. That is what I was writing about. I think that was what Lee was writing about.

If you are going to pivot, with whiplash consequences, to the separate topic of conspiratorial theories, I think of a number of them, especially those involving the "Deep State," can at some point, be separately addressed.

At that future point in time, we can start with the topic referenced in Post # 910. There are many similarities to Trump's approach to the establishment and President Kennedy's, so such a discussion would be congruent to the topic of this Thread.

But the phone call was the issue until you changed the narrative.

And considering I called out both sides for shade and continuously declare that with rare exception all politicos suck, tell me HipKat exactly what is my agenda?
