Polls, polls, every one of them blows!

The presidential race between the two presumptive unfit candidates is a toss up and depending which candidate you favor, Trump or Biden, you will gravitate to the one that favors your candidate for validation. As an independent who was seeking an alternative moderate candidate, I was disappointed by the ending of the No Labels movement and discovering that the Independence Party candidate could be even more radically liberal than the Democratic Party. Still, seven more months to go and anything can change as was evidenced by Trump’s stance on abortion.

What is incredulous is the gaslighting and hyperbole that emanates from the politicos and biased media that appears to be rejected by an informed public. Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called out Donald Trump’s noncommittal stance on abortion access, accusing him of saying whatever he thinks will help him retake the presidency. “He doesn’t believe anything,” the California Democrat said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” show. “He believes in his political survival, and that’s what he’s trying to accommodate. But you can’t be a little bit pro-life. You’re there or you’re not there.”

Imagine that Pelosi and Morning Joe charging Trump with pandering for votes when Biden is doing everything possible to ‘buy votes and using taxpayer money in the process.

America cannot continue spending, borrowing, and printing money along with the regulations in place during the Biden administration and seeing anything but utter disaster in the future.

At the same time Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan appears to be nothing more than a bribe to get votes. He tends to underperform with that block of voters, many of them that will never be able to buy a home, so he must do something to appeal to them. A taxpayer funded bailout at that! As his last attempt it is blatantly unconstitutional, and he doesn’t care.

The progressive-Marxist Biden administration is now propagandizing that immigration is good for the economy, helping bring in new laborers who create goods and services, spend money on goods and services, contribute to the social safety net, and help spur innovation. But unfortunately, the migrant “crisis” as broadly understood in mainstream conversation — especially on the right — primarily stems from the fear that “floods” of new migrants are inherently destabilizing and dangerous for the U.S. 8 million emigrees, 1.2 million find jobs, the remainder we absorb the costs to feed, shelter, educate, provide medical services, transportation, etc. Sounds like a good deal for America - NOT!

In a recent report LAURA INGRAHAM summarized how many voters see America today and recognize Joe Biden as the real threat to democracy and free speech.

Because no one who really loved America, our history, and our culture, would make it his [Biden's] policy to push that or to leave our border open. No one who really wanted to help keep America safe would have appointed nincompoops to the cabinet like Janet Yellen, Lloyd Austin, or Jennifer Granholm. And no one who really cared about Americans would dismiss their complaints, their real complaints about the high cost of groceries and of gas.

Certainly, no one who respected our working people would try to outlaw gas-powered cars and mandate EVs. No one who wanted a healthy America would consider legalizing high-THC weed, and no one who really cared about protecting American life would consider abortion up until birth a sacred rite. So "death to America" is a fact of life under Democrats' policies. Biden's unending spending is death to our economy. His weaponization of the DOJ, death to our rule of law. His obsession with DEI will mean death to standards of objective excellence in education, the workplace, even our military. His "everyone can come in" immigration policy, well, that's death to our local budgets, schools, and health care system. And that's just for starters. And, of course, his kowtowing to the trans lobby means death to women's sports.

In effect, Democrats today promote almost everything that's bad for us: an open border, drugs, pornography, and abortion. One by one, each is a step toward our nation's death. The sad truth is, Democrats all think it's best for the world and best for us if we have fewer resources, if we have less power.

    Bidenomics

Rent, gas prices, food prices, interest rates, record breaking national / credit card debt, the fact that many people cannot afford many things now, cannot be unspun by team Biden or his friends in the media. Since 2019 food prices are up by 37%. Something has to change!

Why Biden won’t close the border.

The vast majority of American voters acknowledge the borders are open, that Biden refuses to act to close them, that illegal immigration is hurting the country in myriad, that our security is threaten by the countless unvetted terrorists entering our country but wonder why Biden refuses to act.

The Hill presented an interesting and intriguing report on how this supposed ‘moderate’ became the progressive- Marxist border radical.

3 reasons Biden won’t close the border

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/polit...11a111a9&ei=19

For more than three years, critics of President Biden have watched dumbfounded as he has resolutely refused to close the southern border. Unfettered illegal immigration has led to deaths from fentanyl poisoning, outbreaks of once-rare diseases like measles and tuberculosis, surging crime in sanctuary cities, heightened national security concerns — and abysmal approval ratings for the president.

Though he has denied it, Biden has had the ability at any time to reimpose the guardrails erected by former President Trump, who instituted the “remain in Mexico” provision, demanded Mexico help slow the north-bound caravans, ended the Obama-era “catch-and-release” practice, built sections of border fencing and introduced other measures that reduced illegal crossings. In his first weeks in office, Biden undid more than a dozen Trump-era rules, and has now allowed now more than 5 million people to flood into the country.

Abdication of responsibility on the border has become a top political headache for Biden, and yet — other than blaming Republicans for not passing an immigration law that he dishonestly claims would have solved the problem — the president has been unmovable.

There are three possible reasons for his stubborn embrace of a policy that even his Democratic colleagues opposed not so long ago.

First, Biden still depends on the far-left flank of his party, without which he would not have become president, and progressives Democrats favor an open border.

Second, welcoming millions of undocumented people into the nation, and attracting them to sanctuary cities in states like New York and Illinois, helped staunch a threatening loss of political power for Democrats.

Finally, another possible rationale for not closing the border is the impact on inflation, Biden’s biggest political vulnerability. The 37 percent increase in food prices since 2019, the more than 20 percent hike in electricity costs, soaring rents and car prices — the struggle of millions of Americans to make ends meet — has put Biden’s reelection bid in jeopardy.

America in decline: Scared? You should be!

As we move into the presidential campaigns with the two presumptive Democrat and Republican candidates in place, with the current Ukraine, Israel / Hamas war, Iran now attacking Israel after our feckless leader telling Iran ‘Don’t,’ one must wonder how America has gotten into such a foreign and national mess.

While the Democrats and their supporting media do everything in their power to keep Trump off the ballot claiming he is an existential threat to America’s democracy and free speech. Trump is a dictator, liar, orchestrated the January insurrection, and Americans are better off today than three years ago claims the White House and its cohorts. America would not be mired in the mess it now is had it not been for Trumps policies says the White House crowd and its minions – and would be worse off again should Trump be elected.

It appears to many that the continuation of inflation, the high cost of living, the border crisis, unfettered illegal immigration draining our resources and affecting our security, the wars and global tension, increase in crime, etc.,. all took place during the Biden administration and under his foreign and domestic policies.

While Trump is charged with being the existential threat to democracy Biden flaunts the constitution regarding student loan forgiveness, securing our southern & northern borders, mandating climate policies that burden the nation and are unachievable and/or in unreasonable time frames established. President Biden has set a goal of installing 500,000 public electric vehicle chargers by 2030 as part of his climate agenda. However, few states have obligated funds from the $5 billion EV infrastructure program. Experts say 1.2 million chargers will be needed by 2030 to meet climate goals, far more than the current 175,000.

Many Americans will not be able to afford purchasing an EV and all the equipment that goes along with the mandated green energy program. Does Uncle Joe care? It looks like the self-anointed moderate is more interested in placating his socialist base.

Other interesting points to think about prior to the November election, especially to those on the fence, like moderate Democrats, Libertarians, and Independents and the never Trump Republicans and those thinking of "walking away" from the progressive – Marxist Democratic party:

Women are upset at Trump's naughty words -- they also bought 80 million copies of 50 Shades of Gray. Not one feminist has defended Sarah Sanders. women’s rights only matter if those women are liberal.

No Border Walls. No voter ID laws.

Chelsea Clinton got out of college and got a job at NBC that paid $900,000 per year. Her mom flies around the country speaking out about white privilege.

The Democrats went from being against foreign interference in our elections to now considering allowing non-citizens to vote in our elections.

President Trump's wall costs less than the Obamacare website.

We are one election away from open borders, socialism, gun confiscation, and full-term abortion nationally.

60 years ago, Venezuela was 4th on the world economic freedom index. Today, they are 179th and their citizens are dying of starvation.
In only 10 years, Venezuela was destroyed by democratic socialism.

Russia donated $0.00 to the Trump campaign. Russia donated $145,600,000 to the Clinton Foundation. But Trump was the one investigated!

Nancy Pelosi invited illegal aliens to the State of the Union. President Trump Invited victims of illegal aliens to the State of the Union.

A socialist is basically a communist who doesn't have the power to take everything from their citizens at gunpoint ... Yet!

How do you walk 3000 miles across Mexico without food or support and show up at our border 100 pounds overweight and with a cellphone?

Alexandria Ocasio Cortez wants to ban cars, ban planes, give out universal income and thinks socialism works. She calls Donald Trump crazy.

Bill Clinton paid $850,000 to Paula Jones to get her to go away. I don't remember the FBI raiding his lawyer's office.

The same media that told us Hillary Clinton had a 95% chance of winning now tells me Trump's approval ratings are low.

The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money - Margaret Thatcher

Maxine Waters opposes voter ID laws; She thinks that they are racist. You need to have a photo ID to attend her town hall meetings.

President Trump said, "They're not after me. They're after you. I'm just in their way."

I have faith that an apathetic America is waking up from Woke Policies and the Marxist Progressive attack on the Constitution brought about by the democrats.

A comparison of the last two administrations shows a clear difference in the lives of all of us, economically, socially, security wise and in food and heating costs.

    Saving America!

As the threat of global war escalates and America continues to suffer domestically, Biden, the radical left and the dishonest media’s primary focus and goal is to destroy Trump and keep him off the ballot – pursuing every avenue to characterize him as the existential threat to our country’s democracy and freedom of speech.

While Israel is bombing Iran, Iraq, and Syria, proxy wars are taking place across the world Biden continues to lie about inflation, the state of the economy and how much better off we are since he took office.

The cost of living continues to rise out pacing wage increases for many Americans. Though inflation has decreased prices remain high. Inflation is a tax. And who gets hurt the most? The tens of millions of people living paycheck to paycheck and up to their eyeballs in credit card debt, and where interest rates continue going up. What’s the real rate of inflation? It’s not 3%, it’s 7% when you cut interest payments. You must pay that interest every month.

Crude oil prices jumped and U.S. stock futures sank Thursday night following reports of explosions in a city in western Iran, amid fears of a wider conflict between Israel and Iran. Such a move could further inflame tensions in the Middle East and risk an all-out war between Iran and Israel. Israel is paying little heed to U.S. de-escalation demand, and now the fear of escalation spiraling out of control grips risk markets. Biden’s clean energy fossil fuel policies to save the planet are specious if there is no planet to save.

As to saving the U.S., which U.S.?

The one where protesters are able to chant ‘Death to America’ while those using the wrong pronoun are threatened with a hate crime?

Where emigrants can cross our open borders illegally, claim asylum, and demand and receive food, shelter, medical and education provisions many of our citizens do not receive?

Where Biden can mock and flip the bird to the Constitution / Supreme Court with his student loan forgiveness Executive Order using taxpayer money arbitrarily and capriciously? Using taxpayer money here and elsewhere in so many ways to buy votes?

God, save us from Joe Biden!

    2024: a lose-lose election

Trump must be stopped, says the left.

Biden: He is an existential threat to our democracy and free speech. We are better off today than we were three years ago. Everything that is wrong in today’s country is Trump’s fault.

Hillary Clinton: Trump will be a dictator from day one. He plans on killing all his opponents.

Yes, Trump is an adulterer, a liar, has a narcissistic personality, and easy to hate. That said, at no time when he was in office did I find my country more under financial duress, less secure globally, less safe nationally, and whose constitutional rights are being abridged by radical subgroups. A Trump victory would exacerbate fear and loathing among his enemies. They will challenge every executive action in court and parse every word he utters to define his motivations as rooted in racism, bigotry, and malevolence. If they regained the House, Democrats would likely impeach him for the third time predicated on their belief that he is a threat to democracy and an aspiring dictator.

Interesting how the political rhetoric has become incendiary, vile, and hateful, yet it is the public that is being cautioned against misuse of pronouns, offensive sexual identification, and political expression if it opposes ‘Big Brother’s’ agenda.

Considering trust is the media is at an all-time low, as well as trust in our institutions and our government, the public will be hard pressed to cone to an informed decision as to the lesser of two evils in the 2024 presidential election other than considering whether we are personally better off today than under Trump.

A couple of weeks ago, a Wall Street Journal headline read: "Biden Is Spending $1 Trillion to Fight Climate Change. Voters Don’t Care." Joe Biden wants to spend another $7 billion on a climate change solar slush fund. Voters surveyed in seven swing states showed immigration was most important at 25%, economy 22%, inflation 13%, abortion 10%, and climate change... 2%.

The 2024 election is a “lose-lose” for America. Biden’s agenda will continue to transform America without being granted permission by the voters. Trump will be blocked at every turn as he attempts to govern. American civilization, which is arguably in decline, will continue to have its foundations eroded and its institutions debased. Biden will likely use the force of government to force his opponents to comply with his plan to transform America. A second Trump presidency would demonstrate that our institutions and traditions do not function effectively when a sizable number of Americans refuse to accept an election result.

Protests, like those in 2020, will dominate the landscape, and the legacy media will frame the narrative as a fight to restore democracy. Blue state governors will disregard or refuse to enforce federal laws that they perceive will roll-back progress on core Democratic issues. This too is not a recipe for unity. Did we ever think we would ever witness protests in America where terrorists would be supported in our schools, chants of ‘Death to America, I am Hamas, Kill the Jews.’

Unity? Regardless which candidate wins in November there will be no unity. The question is whether we can we take another 4 years of Biden’s progressive, Marxist, radical left policies?

New York exodus; a catastrophe in the making

I never thought I’d see the day when I would encourage anyone to consider leaving New York State. Too old and unable to do so, I can well understand why others who have the means and ability to do so would consider it; fearing the decline this state is experiencing through government mismanagement which could result in a full-blown catastrophe.

    The Albany Times reported today:

In a worrying new Marist poll, an eye-popping 37% of New Yorkers said they plan to leave the state within five years. That is … not good, and we can only hope most don't mean it, given the catastrophe that will result if they follow through. But the number does reflect the widespread grumpiness and dissatisfaction among New Yorkers right now, a sentiment also expressed in a separate poll from the Siena College Research Institute.

In that poll, released Monday, Gov. Kathy Hochul recorded her worst favorability and job approval ratings while just 35% of respondents said New York is on the right track – even though this very blue state is completely controlled by Democrats.

But! But! But! Both the Siena and Marist polls were finished before the Legislature and Hochul agreed over the weekend on a new state budget, which, given all the back-patting, must be chock full of delights designed to keep disgruntled New Yorkers from eyeing greener grass in Florida, Tennessee, wherever. Right?

Um, no. So far as I can tell, there's little in the spending plan that will improve, well, anything or stem New York's worst-in-the-nation population outflow, which you would think would be considered a massive crisis down at the Capitol but just isn't. Lawmakers, for example, didn't cut taxes, and measures designed to spur housing construction are too modest to make this very expensive state more affordable.

But I'm hardly a budget expert. So I asked E.J. McMahon, founding senior fellow over at the Empire Center for Public Policy, if he'd found any nuggets that might encourage New Yorkers to stick around.

"In a word: No," McMahon said via email. "In three words: Not. One. Thing."

Sorry, folks. I wish I had better news for you. I wish I could report that New York's lawmakers are deeply concerned about the departures of your neighbors and loved ones and are determined to do the hard work of addressing the problem. Alas, there's no evidence that's true.

Sure, the state is spending more money than ever – 33% more than just four years ago and $237 billion overall. Yet it isn't clear how the profligacy will help, which explains why people are so grumpy whenever a pollster calls.

Just 40% of state residents in that Siena survey of registered voters have a favorable view of Hochul, which puts the Democrat only slightly ahead of Donald Trump and his 37% favorability.

A full 82% think the recent influx of migrants into New York is a serious problem, which is as close to unanimity as we're likely to get. But 58% disapprove of the way Hochul is addressing the crisis, while 62% dislike how the Biden administration is handling it – or, to be more accurate, not handling it.

More than half, 55%, say crime in New York has gotten worse in the last year, a sentiment that doesn't seem borne out by official crime stats. And 76% say shoplifting is a major problem for stores.

New Yorkers were more split on allowing parent groups to override schools on the books made available to students (48% support vs. 45% oppose); on providing reparations to descendants of enslaved African-Americans (47% support, 46% oppose); and on whether the sale of illicit cannabis is a serious problem (48% to 46%).

Well, the budget does provide new tools to stem retail theft and illegal cannabis sales. With the budget delivered three weeks late, Hochul hailed the agreement's "historic investments" as a victory.

Hooray, yahoo, and all that, even though nothing in the budget seems likely to make New Yorkers less grumpy. Wait till next year.

    Comment

Insanity is defined as doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting a different result.

New York is already in decline, one of the highest taxed states in the nation, losing its wealthiest because of intended punitive policies, mandating costly climate transition policies that many residents can ill afford to comply with, treats illegal migrants better than its own citizens / vets / homeless, and will most likely continue to vote Democrat for some inexplicable reason.

    Biden: Tyranny by regulation

Who is the real threat to our democracy and freedom? Biden and the radical left blame Trump.

Who says we are better off today under Biden than we were under Trump? Biden, the mainstream media, and the radical left disingenuously claim Biden, ignore the status of a declining country, and can only hope to beat Trump by humiliating him, keep him off the campaign trail, lock him up, and keep him off the ballot.

Some people have no eyes to see with, no ears to hear with, or are plain stupid and easily manipulated / controlled.

Biden doubles down on tax hikes and regulations

Can the country take another 4 years of Biden?

Biden and his cohorts paint Trump as the existential threat to our democracy and freedoms. He will destroy this country if re-elected, right? We are better off today than when Trump was in office, right? One must be crazy or a terrorist to think otherwise, right?

As most American voters polled, I did not want to see a Biden-Trump rematch. I expressed voting for a third-party candidate instead. Unfortunately, it will be Biden vs. Trump, equally hated, divisive, and unable to unite this country. There is no viable third-party candidate. RFK Jr. is not the moderate candidate we were hoping for. What to do? Who would best serve our country?

Two reports became known that help define why Biden’s popularity is tanking and why Americans pushed to the bring are having to decide which candidate is more deserving to be re-elected.

Former Attorney General Bill Barr, who previously said that Donald Trump shouldn’t be near the Oval Office, told CNN’s Kaitlan Collins on Friday that he would vote for the former president over President Joe Biden in the 2024 election. “I think that Biden is unfit for office,” Barr said on “The Source” in a wide-ranging interview. “I think Trump would do less damage than Biden, and I think all this stuff about a threat to democracy – I think the real threat to democracy is the progressive movement and the Biden administration.” Pressed further on whether he would vote for Trump specifically, Barr said, “Between Biden and Trump, I will vote for Trump because I believe he will do less damage to the country over the four years.”

The status of our country under Biden

The following Newsmax rant gives one a good perspective on what has happened to this country under Biden - one that confirms many of us are not the crazy ones, are not the terrorists, are not the existential threats to our democracy, freedoms, or free speech. That honor goes to Mr. Biden, the radical left, and they’re gaslighting media cohorts. The reason Trump must be jailed and kept off the ballot.

Don’t talk to us like we’re stupid.
    Stop gaslighting us!

Biden’s economic policies continue to fail.

Many Americans feel that their government is failing to provide for them in a number of basic ways. This is seen in the deficit of the government, which has swelled to more than $34 trillion in the last five years. Americans, Conservatives in particular, are not thrilled with the way that the American government is handling their tax funds and are even less happy about inflation and the ever-increasing deficit and debt.

Federal data released Friday showed that inflation remains elevated. The figures came out on the heels of other data showing the U.S. Gross Domestic Product underperformed in the first quarter of this year. Both the inflation and GDP data points raised concerns among economists and renewed criticism of President Joe Biden.

Treasury Secretary Yellen says the economic indicators are there that indicate the U.S. economy is doing well ant that inflation will continue to ebb. “I still see in the underlying core drivers of economic activity considerable strength,” declares Yellen. Conversely Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell has raised a red flag, warning that the United States is heading towards an "unsustainable fiscal path." Powell shared his concerns about the fiscal direction of the United States during a “60 minutes” candid interview with Scott Pelley. He emphasized that the national debt was growing faster than the economy and becoming a threat.

The U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis released the Personal Consumption Expenditure data Friday, which showed the PCE rose 0.3% last month. The federal Consumer Price Index, another leading marker of inflation, reported prices rising 0.4% last month. The GDP increased at an annual rate of only 1.6% in the first three months of this year, much less than the 3.4% growth in the previous quarter and well below experts’ expectations.

“New GDP numbers out - yet ANOTHER depressing quarter under Biden…” Richard Stern, an expert at the Heritage Foundation, wrote on X. “This marks the THIRD quarter in a row of the government growing faster than the economy! “New GDP numbers out - yet ANOTHER depressing quarter under Biden…” Richard Stern, an expert at the Heritage Foundation, wrote on X. “This marks the THIRD quarter in a row of the government growing faster than the economy!

“That's socialism at work as the woke left-wing government eats everyone else's lunch off the buffet table – all while the personal saving rate falls off a cliff and is less than half what it was pre-pandemic,” he added.

The combination of both low growth and high inflation, in conjunction with continuously high amounts of government spending and debt, has led to signs of stagflation in the U.S. economy, which wreaked havoc on U.S. consumers throughout the 1970’s, according to experts who spoke to the DCNF. “It’s not so much that we risk stagflation as we’re already there,” E.J. Antoni, a research fellow at the Heritage Foundation’s Grover M. Hermann Center for the Federal Budget, told the DCNF. “We have basically pulled forward trillions of dollars of economic growth by borrowing from the future, but that must be repaid at some point. And it is highly inefficient as well.”

“Antisemitism is running rampant on campuses,” U.S Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., wrote on X. “Illegal immigrants are invading both borders. Inflation is rising and draining the pocketbooks. America is experiencing one crisis after another under Joe Biden's failed leadership.”

The national debt: Doesn’t anyone care? You should!

The national debt is finally getting the attention it deserves. The irresponsible spending cannot continue without jeopardizing America’s future and today’s youth. We cannot continue to spend money we don’t have, and too often by inept / dysfunctional Washington types to curry favors and garner votes.

The US economy already looks like it's in a recession with weakness in the job market, with layoffs rising. Economists also foresee a weaker labor market, which raises the risk of a recession. The economy could enter a hard landing by the end of the year and cause the unemployment rate to surge to 5%. The economy is already in a rocky position, especially when considering ballooning US debt levels. The public sector is sucking the life out of the private sector. the public sector is sucking the life out of the private sector. the public sector is sucking the life out of the private sector. We have to spend less as a country to let the private sector really come out and drive the economy.

Credit card debt is now at a record high $1.13 trillion. People are losing homes, being evicted from rentals, and the left can't understand why people aren't buying into Biden's 'we are better off today since I took office.'

Why are we gambling with America's future? It deserves an answer.
    DNYUZ

The post Why Are We Gambling with America’s Future? appeared first on New York Times. David Brooks.

    https://dnyuz.com/2024/04/25/why-are...ericas-future/

Over the past few decades, in a surge of bipartisan national self-confidence, the federal government has borrowed a lot of money, sometimes in response to national emergencies and sometimes to do the things people thought were worth doing. We gave ourselves permission to incur all this debt because interest rates were low and many people assumed that things would stay that way, so the costs of carrying that much debt wouldn’t be too onerous.

Unfortunately, that assumption turned out to be incorrect. Interest rates have risen. According to The Wall Street Journal, America is expected to spend $870 billion, or 3.1 percent of gross domestic product, this year on interest payments on the federal debt. According to the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, the government will spend more on interest payments than on the entire defense budget. Within three years, if interest rates remain high, payments on the debt could become the federal government’s second-largest expenditure, behind Social Security.

It makes government accountants miserable because the very act of borrowing money to pay off debt can drive interest rates higher and make the prospect of paying off debt even more expensive. You have to worry about the long-term nightmare possibility of a debt spiral, in which you have to borrow and borrow to service the debt while the act of borrowing itself makes paying off the debt more unaffordable. Pretty soon, you’re staring at Ferguson’s Law. This is the principle enunciated by the historian Niall Ferguson that any nation that spends more on interest payments on the debt than on military spending will slip into decline. It happened to Hapsburg Spain, the Ottoman Empire, the British Empire and prerevolutionary France. Will it happen to us?

The United States continues to borrow all this money even though classical Keynesian theory tells us to borrow in times of recession but commit to debt reduction in times like these, when growth is good. We continue to go deeper into debt even though the storm clouds are gathering around the world. The axis of resentment — China, Russia and Iran — is on the march, making the world a more dangerous place and possibly necessitating a surge in military spending and a rapid need to beef up our military manufacturing infrastructure.

We continue to go further into debt even though the baby boom generation is aging, making programs like Social Security and Medicare more and more costly. The federal government already spends $6 on senior citizens for every $1 on children, which is not exactly investing in the future.

Personally, I’m not bothered that we spent all that borrowed money during Covid. We clearly needed to, and we’ve emerged from the pandemic with a dynamic economy. My concern is that deficit reduction is not high on either party’s agenda right now. Donald Trump has proposed whopping tax cuts. The Biden administration has an ambitious second-term agenda that would involve everything from industrial policy to student debt forgiveness to growth through fiscal stimulus.

    Other

When Obama took office in 2009 the national debt was $10.03 trillion. It was $19.57 trillion when he left. Increased $9.54 trillion in 8 years.

In 4 years under Trump the debt increased by $7.21 trillion; $26.78.

As of March 2024, the debt stands at $34.6 trillion; an increase of $7.82 trillion in only 14 months.

An increase of $24.6 trillion in 15 years – unsustainable! Do our inept / dysfunctional / polarized / self-serving legislators care?

    Death by a thousand cuts!

    Biden: Missing in action.
    Sean Hannity

Now, this is moral cowardice that we have never seen before. Joe talked a big game on the campaign trail about Charlottesville, but as president, when it really matters, your frail, your weak, your cognitively struggling commander-in-chief is completely missing in action today.

An unsettling video. Frightening what’s happening to our country.

Protest chaos on university campuses: We reap what we sow!

    We created the monster!

The radicalization of our youth is real and getting worse, to the point it fosters anti-Americanism, hate speech, and violence. These students will be our future leaders and too many of our current university and government administers are turning a blind eye to ensure protests are indeed peaceful and not directed / funded by outside Marxist influences attempting to destroy democratic principles.

As former President Obama once reportedly said: Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to (expletive) it up. It took four days for President Biden to comment on the disruption and chaos on university campuses, and even then his address was conciliatory – appeasing both sides. So unlike the position President Ronald Regan took on university protests and warning us this day of chaos would come.

Violent speech and violent acts are not protected.

It took President Biden 9 days to voice those exact admonishments. Better late than never!

The vast majority of protesters won’t debate their issues or demands, many extol violence, Intifada, death to the Jews, death to America, all sorts of hateful speech, one must wonder what the temperature of America is on this organized antisemitic, anti- American radial left, Marxist sponsored undertaking.

Hopefully, Mark Penn has it right.

These students are way out of touch with the American public.
