A "battle for the soul of the nation"

President Joe Biden is set to give a primetime speech Thursday night on "the continued battle for the soul of the nation" as early voting in the November midterm elections draws nearer.

"In 2020, you and 81 million Americans voted to save our democracy," Biden said last week in Rockville, Md. "That's why Donald Trump isn't just a former president, he is a defeated former president. And it's not hyperbole. Now you need to vote to literally save democracy again."

While White House officials are maintaining public caution about the positive economic signals the administration has received over the past month, many are slowly relaxing behind closed doors in the belief that inflation is finally cresting.

President Joe Biden was quick to celebrate the "zero" month-over-month inflation reported for July 2022, and while the consumer price index still rose 8.5% compared to the year prior, the Democrats felt they had plenty to celebrate.

528,000 jobs in July, and gas prices steadily decreased for the entire summer, with the national average currently hovering around $3.85. The personal consumption indicator, the preferred inflation metric of the Federal Reserve, additionally dropped half a percentage point on Friday compared to the month prior for the year ending in July. Multiple White House officials and senior Democratic aides declare that while it's impossible to predict fully when prices will begin retreating to pre-2021 levels, "it feels like we're in a really good place." Especially considering the Supreme Court Roe decision and the further spending in the Inflation Reduction Act and the Student Loan Forgiveness executive decision that many claim is unfair, a vote buying undertaking.

Emboldened by his accomplishments, deflecting from inflation, the state of the economy, that reports claim 1-out-of-6 families are behind on paying energy bills, his foreign policy failures, surging homelessness and crime, the financial burden and drug related impact on Americans from his open border / immigration policies, etc., Biden believes he is in a position where he can not only declare Trump is the existential threat to America’s democracy and freedoms, but he can turn on Americans who in any way supported Trump or the MAGA movement.

Identifying anyone who disagrees with his position, the left, or his media minions as semi-fascists further polarizes and divides the country and ends the pretense of his campaign promise to be the ‘great unifier.’ For Biden and the Democrats to have weaponized federal agencies and the media to do his bidding while looking the other way in deflecting from their shortcomings (Hunter Biden, Afghanistan, Ukraine) is hypocritical and loathsome.

Looking forward to Biden’s National address on Thursday. His own party is in disarray where candidates seeking midterm congressional seats are running from his support while extremists on the left believe he is not ‘left’ enough.

It will be interesting to see where the old man goes Thursday; policy or campaigning / propaganda. If he decides to attack Trump and MAGA supporters it will be the pot calling the kettle black. The Dems are in denial and dismissing their involvement in any issue plaguing the country – including the pandemic and vaccine side effects and adverse impacts on public fiscal interests, education, and mental psychoses. Fauci should be investigated and held accountable.

Whose side are you on asks Biden

America was more divided than ever despite Joe Biden’s calls for unity. Even more so after his combative Thursday night political speech.

The great Uniter on Thursday said all Americans are called by "duty and conscience to confront extremists" and to reject political violence lasering in on Trump, his MAGA supporters and Republicans who show any support of a political ideology other than that exposed by the Democrats.

"For God's sake, whose side are you on? Whose side are you on?" a fired-up Biden asked. This lifelong ‘blank’ will answer ‘neither,’ as long as Biden remains president and should Trump or Biden opt to become president once again. They are both inept, lying, divisive individuals, embarrassments to the citizens of this country as well as abroad. The great ‘unifier’ did anything but when speaking condescendingly to millions of voters who would dare to question his ‘accomplishments’ and while failing to mention his domestic and foreign policy failures. NADA on inflation, crime, the border crisis, etc.

Labeling the ideology being adopted by MAGA Republicans and those supporting Republic ideology as "semi-fascists.’ Those same individuals as ‘existential threats to America’s democracy, freedoms, and liberties.

The ‘soul of America’ is not the ruling class in Washington, it is the law-abiding, tax-paying American citizens whom he vilified for simply wanting a stronger, safer, and more prosperous country.

Hypocrisy to the max! Millions of Americans are suffering under current economic conditions. 76% of Americans declare the country is headed in the wrong direction. Biden’s own party is not supportive of his policies. And the man dares tell the country in a pejorative way its Trump’s and the Republicans fault and asks Americans whose side they are on.

While the liberal media will put lipstick on this pig, one has to believe it will push offended wavering Trump haters to vote Republican in the midterm elections. Biden on the campaign stump must have Republicans smiling like Cheshire cats.

Biden’s loan forgiveness plan is unconstitutional, unfair, unaffordable, and inflationary

Yesterday President Biden 'the Unifier' issued a challenge for millions of Americans: “You are either with us or against us.” Some of us favor neither Biden nor Trump for myriad reasons, as well as the extremists from both parties driving the bus.

The following column by Marc Thiessen (Washington Post Writers Group) describes why there is such a backlash against Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan. The plan’s unconstitutionality claim is most revealing.

Biden's loan forgiveness plan is an act of stolen valor

There are many good reasons to oppose President Joe Biden's plan to forgive student debt.

    First, it is inflationary.

As former Obama economic adviser Jason Furman put it, "Pouring roughly half [a] trillion dollars of gasoline on the inflationary fire that is already burning is reckless." At a time when Americans say that one of their top concerns is lifting the crushing weight of inflation, why would Biden do something to make inflation worse?

    Second, it's regressive.

It provides up to $40,000 to a married couple making $249,000 a year and pays for the graduate loans of law, medical and business school students. Biden wants blue-collar workers who did not attend college to subsidize the higher education of white-collar professionals. Under his plan, hospital cafeteria workers will pay for the loans of doctors and nurses; elementary school janitors will pay for the loans of well-to-do parents; auto mechanics will cover the loans of customers whose luxury cars they fix. If you wanted proof that Democrats are no longer the party of the working class but a party of the elites, look no further than this.

    Third, it is unfair.

Millions of parents sacrificed and took on extra work to make sure their kids didn't start their adult lives in debt. Countless students who did take out loans made sacrifices to repay them or chose to attend community college or less expensive state schools so as not to load themselves up with debt they could not afford. Now Biden is telling these responsible Americans that they must pay off the loans of those who made irresponsible decisions?

    Fourth, it's unaffordable.

According to the nonpartisan Penn Wharton Budget Model, Biden's plan will cost at least $605 billion and "could exceed $1 trillion." Biden just got through boasting how his so-called Inflation Reduction Act would reduce the deficit. Then a few days later, he announces up to $1 trillion in unpaid-for spending, which nullifies the alleged deficit reduction he claimed credit for just a few days ago?

    Fifth, it's unconstitutional.

Biden's plan is a direct assault on Congress's power of the purse. As House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., explained in July 2021: "People think that the president of the United States has the power for debt forgiveness. He does not. He can postpone, he can delay, but he does not have that power. That has to be an act of Congress." Now Pelosi has flip-flopped and is backing Biden's power grab. She was right the first time.

But here is the worst part of all: Biden's plan is an act of stolen valor. He is claiming authority for student loan forgiveness by invoking the 2003 Heroes Act - a law passed after the 9/11 attacks to support the men and women mobilized to fight terrorists and to make sure that they did not default because of their military service. The law explicitly states that it is designed to help the "hundreds of thousands of Army, Air Force, Marine Corps, Navy, and Coast Guard reservists and members of the National Guard [who] have been called to active duty or active service" and asked to "put their lives on hold, leave their families, jobs, and postsecondary education in order to serve their country."

It authorizes the secretary of education to modify or forgive their postsecondary loans on a case by-case basis "in connection with a war or other military operation or national emergency, regardless of the location at which such active-duty service is performed." In 2007, when Congress made the Heroes Act permanent, it explicitly reiterated that it was acting to address "the unique situations that active-duty military personnel and other affected individuals may face" (emphasis added).

Now Biden is using a law designed for active duty servicemembers and women as a pretext to provide loan forgiveness for those who never wore the uniform. Indeed, he is giving students who did not serve broader benefits than those who did. In so doing, he is effectively turning an entire generation of Americans into military impostors - receiving the benefits of military service they did not render. Imagine if he found a loophole in the GI Bill to allow students who did not serve to obtain the same military scholarships as veterans. There would be widespread outrage. This is no different. The bill is called the Heroes Act for a reason. Americans who take out loans they can't afford to repay are not heroes and should not be treated as if they were.

So yes, Biden's plan is inflationary, regressive, unfair, unaffordable and unconstitutional. But worst of all, it is un-American - an affront to all the service members who risked their lives on the field of battle to keep the rest of us safe.

Ready or not here come the renewables

California has been held up as both a model and a cautionary tale of what can go wrong for states that are looking to phase out their own fossil fuel-powered plants. Ready New Yorkers? Where California goes New York is sure to follow.

Here's why California’s grid is at risk of blackouts in the next few days

California imports energy from five Western states: Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington. But these states are also grappling with the same heat and drought conditions as California and have taken many of their own fossil fuel-powered plants offline. Since 2013, these states retired more than 10 gigawatts of fossil fuel generating capacity, leaving them with little excess resources to sell to California.

California produces a huge amount of renewable energy through wind and solar power and produces more solar power than it can use during the middle of the day. The challenge is in the evening when solar power declines but people are still running their air conditioners, increasing the importance of dispatchable generation assets.

New renewable battery storage projects for wind and solar could keep that supply online for longer, though so far, California has been unable to match peak summer demand with its increased capacity. (Its battery storage capacity is slated to rise to 6.2 megawatts by the end of 2024.) Supply chain problems have also delayed many solar projects from advancing.

To help augment strained grid capacity, California lawmakers also passed a bill this summer granting the state the authority to extend the life of existing fossil fuel-powered plants or to build new or temporary power plants in a supply emergency. Keeping these fossil fuel plants available for supply emergencies is “very helpful,” Borenstein said. “They are old plants that actually are fairly expensive to run but fairly cheap to keep available. And so the question is, do we want to keep those available? Given that when they do run, they put out a lot of emissions for a gas plant — but we wouldn't run them very often.”

In the long term, Dyson said, “I think we need to recognize that we're just in a different planning environment than we have been … even just in the last 10 years, with this increasing prevalence of extreme weather. We need to get ahead of that. We need to build, and we need to build the renewable storage and transmission.”

“We need all of those resources to be actually ready for the new climate reality that grids must adapt to in 2022 and beyond,” he added.

“We know reliability is going to be difficult,” Alice Reynolds, president of the California Public Utilities Commission, told reporters at the time. “We know climate change is putting Californians at risk of further outages.”

The new subsidies for solar and wind projects provided under the Inflation Reduction Act are set to “dramatically change the cost effectiveness of maintaining old fossil just for reliability versus building something new that's actually used every day and doesn't emit carbon,” Dyson said.

Oh, no, Biden almost certain to run if Trump does

Say it isn’t so! Not again! Regardless of winner, four more years of divisiveness, hardship, disinformation, where America is the loser.

Biden has tamped down talk of a primary challenge, for now

Many of the voices urging — or nudging —Biden to step aside seem to have quieted, at least for now. After a string of legislative and policy wins applauded especially by liberals, along with dropping gas prices and rising poll numbers, more Democrats are accepting that Biden will likely be the party’s standard-bearer for one more presidential election.

The most powerful factor in quieting talk of an intraparty challenge has been the reemergence of former president Donald Trump and Biden’s increasing willingness to attack him directly, serving to remind Democrats of what they consider their biggest threat and of Biden’s previous success in defeating him.

The most powerful factor in quieting talk of an intraparty challenge has been the reemergence of former president Donald Trump and Biden’s increasing willingness to attack him directly, serving to remind Democrats of what they consider their biggest threat and of Biden’s previous success in defeating him.

“When I was out there saying I support the president’s reelection six months ago, I was getting criticized, and now many other people are saying that. They’re recognizing we need to stop the internal firing squad and start bragging about what we’ve done.,” said Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.). “Most people understand the stakes of 2024 and understand that weakening Joe Biden is just strengthening Donald Trump.”

That does not mean Democrats are enthusiastic or excited about Biden as the 2024 nominee. There are still concerns about Biden’s age — he would be 82 at the start of a second term — and his ability to mount a rigorous campaign. And while Biden’s approval ratings have begun to climb back up after hitting a low point earlier this summer, many Democrats still say they want someone else to run. But if Trump runs Biden will most likely run as well

Biden’s ‘Soul of America’ speech rebuked

An opinion article written by Republican Senator Tim Scott reflects the outrage of Americans that were scolded and admonished by Biden in his ‘Soul of America’ speech. Biden’s challenge of ‘you are either with us or against us’ is a slap in the face to Americans that would dare to think and/or opine other than the president, the democrat-socialists or liberal media lackeys.

A scary time in America when the president can attack not only Trump and his MAGA supporters but ‘dog whistle’ that anyone who differs with his or his party’s left ideology is a threat to America’s democracy, freedoms and right to vote!

A scary time when the left is willing to crush all opposition to their ideology. “You think like us, or we will silence you.”

Biden just painted a soul-crushing vision of America that does not reflect the country I know and love
    Senator Tim Scott

On Thursday night in Philadelphia, Joe Biden used his presidential perch, flanked by two United States Marines, to give one of most menacing and divisive campaign speeches in recent memory.

In his soul-crushing "soul of the nation" speech, the president threw half the country back into Hillary Clinton’s basket of deplorables. Anyone who refuses to go along with his radical agenda that’s bankrupting the country is a threat. Anyone who stands up for religious liberty is an extremist. Anyone who is a voice for voiceless and vulnerable unborn babies is a danger to democracy.

That’s the picture Biden painted of America. But his illustration of our country and her people couldn’t be more disconnected from reality. The truth is this speech was a feeble attempt to distract American voters from Democrats’ abysmal record heading into the midterms.

President Biden and Democrats across the country are hoping they can get voters to believe what they say, rather than what they can see with their own two eyes.

You see, according to him migrants aren’t illegally flooding into our country every day. Never mind the fact that we see small town mayors and border patrol agents struggling to deal with the influx from record illegal crossings.

He says inflation is at zero. But we see sustained record-high inflation nearly reaching double digits and feel the pain of high prices at the grocery store and gas pump.

The president said his administration made America safer than ever. But the Democrats' "defund the police" movement targeted law enforcement and led to the alarming crime wave that continues to ravage our communities.

The president said his administration made America safer than ever. But the Democrats' "defund the police" movement targeted law enforcement and led to the alarming crime wave that continues to ravage our communities.

And when asked about learning loss among kids who were kept out of schools, the White House says it’s actually Republicans who are to blame. But parents haven’t forgotten that Democratic mayors and governors colluded with big labor unions on lockdown policies that kept students out of classrooms for years.

The pain and insecurity Americans feel under total Democrat control of Washington won’t be dulled by Biden’s political placebo. After being isolated throughout the pandemic, the remedy to our collective uncertainty and exhaustion is not to ostracize people even further.

Americans are tired! Tired of the constant attacks. Tired of being told that their traditional values are extreme. Tired of being told to hate their neighbors or themselves.

It’s time to turn the page on this cynical playbook of division. Our country is in desperate need of leaders who boldly tell the truth about who we are and who we can be.

We are not a nation irreparably divided by race, class, ideology, and gender. We are a nation bonded together by our uniquely American values of freedom, opportunity, and redemption.

In the story of America, I believe our best chapters have yet to be written. But we cannot let that story be told by those who want to redefine what it means to be an American. We will not be lectured by politicians who cower and apologize for our country.

Mr. President: America is the solution, not the problem—it’s time you start acting like it.

Fool the voters once, shame on the politicos. Fool them twice, shame on the voters!

According to the media the Republican momentum has waned. Pelosi is confidently declaring the Hose will remain in Democrat control. McConnell is wavering on declaring a Senate majority. Sadly, both parties are being influenced by the activities of an inept sitting president and an ex toxic president who brings baggage that is tainting his party. Neither is fit for running for office in 2024.

The midterm elections should be a referendum on the state of the economy, inflation, crime, an open border and its impact on financial cost and American lives lost to drugs coming into the country, etc. Biden and the Democrats are in trouble on all the aforementioned but are gaining deflecting from all the issues plaguing America and painting Trump and anyone supporting MAGA or opposing any of their ideology as fascists.

Biden has long claimed Trump unfit to govern. On Thursday he not only went after Trump but assailed MAGA supporters as being existential threats to America’s democracy. But who qualifies as a MAGA Republican? Biden appeared to zero in on those who recklessly challenge election results, advocate political violence, dare to think, or opine other than he or Democratic Party ideology.

Biden and the Democrat Party should worry about the possible backlash from the conservatives and Republicans targeted by his rhetoric, but by the more than 74 million Americans who voted for Trump in 2020.

A new Quinnipiac University poll found that 69% of Democrats and 69% of Republicans say that democracy is "in danger of collapse." But one side blames former President Donald Trump and his "MAGA Republicans" while the other fingers President Biden and the "socialist Democrats." So when Biden delivers a warning about the fate of democracy as he did Thursday night, the public hears two vastly different messages. At the same time 76% of Americans declare the country is headed in the wrong direction.

Two months ahead of the November midterm elections, Democrats have seen a marked improvement with voters — in large part due to renewed support among independents, a rise in favorability for President Joe Biden, and increased voter enthusiasm among backers of abortion rights — according to a newly-released Wall Street Journal poll. In the survey, independents backed Democrats 38%-35%, compared to the GOP's 12-point edge in March. The poll also showed President Joe Biden's approval rating at 45%, with 54% expressing disapproval.

For six years Trump has been systematically harming the Republican Party. And the party faithful and his supporters have silently stood by at every juncture, making the same excuses for keeping quiet about it. He continues to harm the party with his scandals, sacrificing its standards and, increasingly, its electoral chances because of his rapacious ego and unprofessionalism. In the long run, it's the most dangerous course for the Republican Party if he were to run again.

Trump is so unpopular now that he lost to a two-time also-ran. He is now just barely breaking even in the polls despite Biden's low approval ratings. So however scary it feels to stand up to Trump, the idea of letting him run further amok ought to frighten Republicans even more.

But Trump is not going away – unless they make him go away. Trump is toxic and hurting his party’s chances of winning in the midterm elections and God forbid he run in 2024. For the country’s best interests, neither Trump nor Biden should be candidates in 2024.

Trump is hurting the Republican Party and deserves no further allegiance from his base. Biden is anything but the moderate, temperate, unifying agent he campaigned on. His speech the other night attested to that – and was offensive and inciteful.

The voters are the ‘pickle-in-the middle’ in a propaganda filled election process trying to determine the lesser of two evils – here as difficult as trying to pick up a turd at the clean end!

A square peg in a round hole on the political playing field

I just don’t fit in the political world, and that’s just fine with me. Never did but was never exposed to such inciteful, divisive, mean-spirited rhetoric from the political parties, their candidates and a biased media.

Politics was always a blood sport tainted with corruption, but at the end of the day one believed all parties would act in the best interest of the voters. Not anymore. Their agendas and best interests transcend that of the voters. When exposed to the following, it helps explain why more new voters are registering as Independents – or reregistering as Independents. How long can one defend the defenseless attempting to be a party loyalist?

    Joe Biden

Joe Biden: “We are in [an] absolutely unbelievable moment right now, where we have a person who wants to hijack the country for his own gain.”

Donald Trump as a "dishonest demagogue" – says the man who campaigned on being a non-socialist moderate, a unifier who now challenges us to take sides.

Joe Biden: “There are certain Americans amongst us who have been radicalized and are extremists. And it’s up to each one of us not just to be vigilant and to push back but to take a whole new responsibility.”

Joe Biden: “You are with us or against us. If you are against us you are an existential threat to democracy, freedom and voting rights.”

    NY Governor Kathy Hochul

Kathy Hochul said at a recent political rally in Kingston:

"We are here to say that the era of Trump and Zeldin and Molinaro - just jump on a bus and head down to Florida where you belong," the Democrat said. "Get out of town. Get out of town. Because you don't represent our values. You are not New Yorkers."

Hochul later said that she was only speaking about the three men she named. But given those previously noted biographical details, her implication was clear: Zeldin, the Republican candidate for governor, and Molinaro, who is running for Congress in the Hudson Valley, are not New Yorkers because of the way they think and the views they hold.

Which means, of course, that the many others who hold those views must also not be New Yorkers, no matter where they were born or where they live. I guess people like me, a lifelong New Yorker and unaffiliated registered voter who often disagrees with the Governors ideology and agenda, has just been shown the door.

    Donald Trump

Constantly politically targeted and maligned for crimes and offenses he did not commit, while guilty of throwing his own supporters under the bus if they dare disagree with the pompous, narcissistic, and arrogant thug.

Can’t keep his mouth shut and unprofessional as all hell. An embarrassment on the domestic and foreign stage. Toxic and adversely impacting his party’s chances of victory in the midterm and 2024 elections.

With rare exception, all politicos suck!

Nonbiased media outlets, I’m shocked! Suppressing disinformation and publishing factual news on former extremely liberal media outlets, yea! Trust in the media has hit such a low point that media outlets are beginning to rein in opiniated, extremist talking heads who will take the most outrageous position to stoke their egos.

Not one of Biden’s “us” – or Trump’s

Trump likes to keep everyone guessing, seeding stump speeches, social media postings, and even legal filings with hints that a 2024 campaign could launch at any minute.

"There are a lot of candidates out there feeling their oats and boasting, 'I'm running no matter what. I don't care what Donald Trump says.' Anyone who says that is lying," Senator Ted Cruz says, adding that dismissing Trump's iron grip on GOP voters is "idiotic."

What this lifelong ‘blank’ think’s is ‘idiotic’ is the Republican Party spinning its wheels waiting for the self-anointed one to announce his decision – one that can hurt the Republican Party both in the midterm elections and the 2024 presidential election.

What are the Republicans waiting on when the Democrats are eating their lunch putting out a hysterical, hypocritical, psychobabble, propagandist narrative.

An administration and liberal media touting Biden’s accomplishments while demeaning the public for expressing any opinion or decision that counters theirs – labelling them fascists, deplorables, Neanderthals, etc., in the process. Recently challenging voters with: “You are either with us or against us.”

A challenge by a president who campaigned on a promise of being a ‘uniter,’ a moderate (anything but a socialist), a man who was going to ‘Build Back America Better.’ Mr. Biden has not kept that promise and for that reason and the following, I am not one of his team:

    • The Afghanistan debacle
    • The state of the economy
    • Inflation
    • Crime
    • Open border policy
    • Immigration policy and cost to Americans
    • Unfair / unethical Tuition Forgiveness Plan
    • Vote buying spending plan & lack of concern for the National Debt
    • Covid – disinformation and chaotic impact on economy and education
    • Continuing a border policy that allows human trafficking and tens of thousands of American deaths from fentanyl illegally entering our country
    • Billions of dollars going to Ukraine for a proxy war you knew was coming weeks in advance and did nothing.

You are my president, Mr. Biden. Not Donald Trump. You are the existential threat to my democracy, my freedoms, my free speech and right to opine without fear of intimidation.

While I agree the need to transition from fossil fuels to clean energy, your mandates and timeframe compliance will not be achievable by many Americans and will do them further harm. To promise America that EV’s will become affordable for all, that 100% complete clean sustainable energy is possible some day is disingenuous.

As for the Republicans, the longer they snooze waiting for the great one to announce, the greater their chance for losing increases.

What an overall sad situation. Most voters voice the country is headed in the wrong direction. Candidates in both political parties are shying away from Biden and Trump support. Yet the two old farts continue to dominate the political spotlight. Go figure says another old fart!

    Our government is failing us

Today President Biden honored the 9-1 victims and vowed commitment to thwart terror. Biden noted that even after the United States left Afghanistan his administration continues to pursue those responsible for the 9/11 attacks. Last month, Biden announced the U.S. had killed Ayman Zawahri, the Al Qaeda leader who helped plot the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, in a clandestine operation.

“We will never forget, we will never give up,” Biden said. “Our commitment to preventing another attack on the United States is without end.”

Biden spoke on the country’s coming together despite political differences existing today, as they even did in 2011. Biden promised in his campaign rhetoric to unite a divided nation, reinstate compromise for the nation’s best interest, and to build back better America’s fortunes. Biden’s focus has become to demonize Trump, the Republic Party, Trump’s supporters, and anyone who voices an opinion opposing Biden’s or that of the Democratic Party left. His tact is to embellish his so-called accomplishments and blame Trump for all his domestic and foreign policy failures – and there are many, as 76% of Americans are clamoring for a ‘change in direction.’

Biden marked the one-year anniversary of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan late last month in low-key fashion by issuing a statement in honor of the 13 U.S. troops killed in the bombing at the Kabul airport. A grisly bombing killed 170 Afghans and 13 U.S. troops. Thousands of desperate Afghans gathered in hopes of escape before the final U.S. cargo planes departed over the Hindu Kush. Many didn’t make it and remain in Afghanistan, Americans as well.

In 2001, it took a crisis to bring America together. America has suffered several crises in the past 2-1/2 years (Covid pandemic, inflation, illegal border entry, crime) and we have become more divided as a nation.

Although many Americans died during the Covid pandemic the country became more divided lapsing into different ideological camps on origin of virus and the cure of the virus. Much more polarized and mistrusting of government now that numerous studies are indicating there are serious health side affects from the administered vaccines – often irresponsibly mandated.

Our ‘government’ has become incapable of shepherding a coordinated national response to any crisis today There lies the biggest threat to our democracy, freedoms, and national security. There needs to be more responsible rhetoric from both political parties to prevent extremists from acting violent. The inciteful ‘you are either with us or against us’ rhetoric used by the self-proclaimed peacemaker is but an example.

Biden’s commitment to fighting terror and anguish over the lives lost in 9-11 and Afghanistan is tempered by his addressing the tens of thousands of American lives being lost from the entry of illegal drugs at the open southern border, open because of his policies. Where is the ‘war on drugs’ plan?

The real threat to American democracy

    Spot on!

What makes an American a domestic terrorist? A threat to democracy? Is it a Republican, an Independent, a Democrat that did not vote for Biden, does not support his policies / mandates / usurpation of the constitution, disapproves of current economic-socio state affairs?

The Biden White House used Memorial Day to politicize the worst terrorist attack in American history and declare war on millions of Americans.

Biden insinuated Trump voters are a bigger threat than al Qaeda on 9/11. How did the vice president of the United States respond? That she will defend against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Make no mistake, the Democratic Party, the media and obviously the FBI have designated the Republican Party as a terrorist group and believe it's their patriotic duty as Americans to extinguish the threat.

How exactly voting for Donald Trump is a threat? Well, how is that more dangerous to the 9/11 hijackers? ISIS terror cells plotting to blow up the Brooklyn Bridge, the Democrats won't call them Islamic terrorists. But if you voted for Donald Trump and have a personal grievance, you're a fascist and Homeland Security's coming for you.

VP Harris – Our Border is Secure

To think this moron is one step away from the presidency and embarrassing us even more. After watching Vice President Kamala Harris on Meet the Press this Sunday, the mystery isn’t why 53% of Americans view her unfavorably, it’s why the other 47% don't join them.

    • The border is secure
    • Was for the filibuster in 2016, now against it
    • Wouldn’t define which Americans are semi-fascists

    What dip in inflation?

The consumer price index (CPI), which tracks a broad swath of goods and services, decreased over the last month from 8.5% to 8.3%. Did you notice the decrease? No? Me neither, especially when I went grocery shopping the other day and filled my gas tank.

Last month we had been told by Biden that inflation was at zero and that this month to expect a significant drop in the CPI for August by his administration and media lackeys. Even that it could ‘drop like a rock.’ My pocketbook was indicating no such thing and today’s numbers indicate the same,

The yearly pace of inflation declined slightly to 8.3% in August, the Labor Department said. But the core Consumer Price Index, which is considered a better measure of long-term trends, showed a larger-than-expected increase, rising 6.3% compared to a year ago. Last year at this time the CPI had already increased over 2020 by 5.3%

Costs were driven by increases in food, shelter, and medical care services, offsetting a sharp decline in gasoline prices.
Grocery prices rose by 0.7% from July and are up 13.5% over the past 12 months. In August, bread prices rose 2.2% from the previous month and 16.2% from a year earlier. Chicken costs increased by 0.5% and are up 16.6% yearly. And eggs jumped 2.9% and 39.8% from a year ago.

Yet Biden touted progress on inflation Tuesday even though the government's latest data reinforced concerns. Biden and congressional Democrats have said a recently passed bill that includes a wide array of measures to tackle climate change and health care costs will help ease the pressure on Americans' pocketbooks. But outside economists do not expect relief anytime soon.

Inflation remains a top topic for voters heading into November’s midterm elections. Where inflation is impacting millions of Americans living paycheck-to-paycheck, where 20 million Americans are falling behind on paying energy bills, where Democrats are irresponsibly spending money that fuels inflation.

On the very day this disappointing report comes out Biden and the Democrats are celebrating the Inflation Reduction Act and touting the impact it will have an inflation. Today’s report is not resonating with Democrats. They are in denial of today’s ominous report. Celebrating where today’s CPI increase translates to American families spending $460 per month more than a year ago on goods and services.

Mr. Biden and his liberal media lackeys are focusing on destroying Trump and his presidential aspiration and touting accomplishments that fall short of addressing a family’s quality of life and wellbeing.

    It’s the economy stupid!
