Thrust in the middle and so screwed

Mainstream media continues to savage former President Trump daily, holds him responsible for inciting the Capitol insurgents and claims any Trump supporter is equally culpable in the process. The Democrats are not satisfied with just impeaching Trump but go so far as to want to destroy the Republican Party in its entirety and ‘reprogram’ anyone daring to voice opposition to their ideology / agenda. In fact, crush the opposition by any means – assault free speech, cancel culture, intimidation, shaming, impacting business / public jobs and the economy, etc.

All this with little coverage or denunciation of the terror and destruction caused by left anarchists. You certainly will not find the following opinion piece on mainstream media outlets.

So many of us caught in the middle, losing faith in Biden’s promises of being a president for all Americans, not being a socialist, yet signing 50 Executive Orders in less than two weeks in office – many of them far left in nature.

    A different perspective:

Reality Czar suggested to address extremism

In a lengthy report, the New York Times is fixated on addressing the domestic threat from extremism and its dire consequences. "To fix our national reality crisis, and possibly even de-radicalize some of those who have been lured into extremist groups and hold conspiracy theory ideology, it would be necessary to address the underlying problems that drove them there in the first place."

The report asks how Biden could unite a country in which millions of people have chosen to create their own version of reality? Unfortunately, the report is then fixated in addressing extremism on the right. Not one drop of ink on extremism on the left and its adverse impact on the country – no mention of Antifa, BLM, deaths, property destruction from continuing riots, etc.

Another example of biased mainstream media where only a dissenting public need a reality check, deprogramming, and their speech silenced. Yeah, this should help bring us altogether.

How the Biden Administration Can Help Solve Our Reality Crisis

    https://www.nytimes.com/2021/02/02/t...formation.html

We have also seen that if left unchecked, networked conspiracy theories and online disinformation campaigns can lead to offline violence, as they did during last month’s deadly Capitol riot.

The report author writes: “I spent the past several years reporting on our national reality crisis, and I worry that unless the Biden administration treats conspiracy theories and disinformation as the urgent threats they are, our parallel universes will only drift further apart, and the potential for violent unrest and civic dysfunction will only grow.

So I called a number of experts and asked what the Biden administration could do to help fix our truth-challenged information ecosystem, or at least prevent it from getting worse. Here’s what they told me.

We need to understand the scope of the problem.

A ‘truth’ commission could be created to investigate the planning and execution of the Capitol siege on Jan. 6 - with deep knowledge of the many “networked factions” that coordinated and carried out the riot, including white supremacist groups and far-right militias.

Recommends Biden administration put together a cross-agency task force to tackle disinformation and domestic extremism, which would be led by something like a “reality czar.”

After all, many people are drawn to extremist groups like the Proud Boys and conspiracy theories like QAnon not because they’re convinced by the facts, but because the beliefs give them a sense of community or purpose, or fills a void in their lives.

Maxine Waters: Trump Should Be Charged with ‘Premeditated Murder’

“He absolutely should be charged with premeditated murder because of the lives that were lost for this invasion with his insurrection,” she said in an appearance on MSNBC on Tuesday. “For the President of the United States to sit and watch the invasion and the insurrection and not say a word because he knew he had absolutely initiated it – and as some of them said, ‘he invited us to come. We’re here at the invitation of the President of the United States.”

Premeditated? Seriously? You just can't make this **** up!

Then there is AOC and her lying rendition of her narrow escape from the jaws of death during the Capitol insurgence. Both parties are guilty of this crap and we struggle to discern the truth and choose the most qualified candidate to vote for - the lesser of two evils to fill a House comprised of inept, dysfunctional individuals.

Does it not appear that someone may actually have?...

    From CNN...

According to one law enforcement official, medical examiners did not find signs that the officer sustained any blunt force trauma, so investigators believe that early reports that he was fatally struck by a fire extinguisher are not true.

One possibility being considered by investigators is that Sicknick became ill after interacting with a chemical irritant like pepper spray or bear spray that was deployed in the crowd. But investigators reviewing video of the officer's time around the Capitol haven't been able to confirm that in tape that has been recovered so far, the official said.

This Time magazine article is not very well disguised as to what it really communicates, and is oh so revealing.

"A well-found cabal of powerful people," and "...Trump was right," Indeed!

The Secret History of the Shadow Campaign That Saved the 2020 Election

    BY MOLLY BALL
    FEBRUARY 4, 2021 5:40 AM EST

A weird thing happened right after the Nov. 3 election: nothing.

The nation was braced for chaos. Liberal groups had vowed to take to the streets, planning hundreds of protests across the country. Right-wing militias were girding for battle. In a poll before Election Day, 75% of Americans voiced concern about violence.

“I am not a socialist” – Joe Biden

Proclaiming to be a moderate, denying being a socialist, Biden has been legislating and speaking anything but.

Appearing frail, using crib notes while issuing over 50 executive orders in his first three weeks in office, the claim he is a puppet of the left bears consideration. The leader of a party that champions tolerance, inclusiveness, compassion, unity etc. since the election has advanced policies anything but.

The two attached links are examples of agendas and promotions that are outright ludicrous. Yes, they are from FOX, but you would never expect to seer this covered by the mainstream media. Biden has taken a turn to the left, lying and disappointing his moderate base.

But hey, they don't need an ID to vote to put stupid people like this in office! Tell me how this is not discriminatory against people of little means to have to fork out over $800 they don't have? Much less unconstitutional?

This whole 2020 into 2021 certainly will go down in history as the most visceral era in American history. We can break it down by factions. If I may quote from the Military dictionary, "Faction a term applied in an ill sense to any party in a state that offers uncompromising opposition to the measures of the government, or that endeavors to excite public." IMO this alludes to "power" that is well organized and is acting in the governments own interests. It is reckless and greedy.

Another idiotic post. What a clown post, Lee! You know Biden does not have a "Socialist" bone in his body what you project.

Another McCarthyist post on this crazy thread.

Not premeditated, maybe accessory to criminally negligent homicide, along with all the others, of course.

In my generation, and many following generations, politics was defined as the ‘art of compromise’ where the interest of all American citizens was considered.

Looking up today’s definition of politics, you will find several versions. They hold a common theme of organization, deviousness, and power. Power and control! Compromise and the common good, not so much.

The latest, and most dangerous example of political deviousness and falsehood was Biden’s claim that he would act by bipartisan consensus, unlike Trump and his use of executive order authority. Three in office Biden signs 50 executive orders and walks out of the room without taking a single question from the media.

Breezy opines Biden doesn’t have a ‘socialist bone in his body’. It doesn’t appear that way as he practices ‘cancel culture’ along with the leftists in his party, overtly and covertly by not speaking out about his party’s abuse of power to use cancel culture. Using cancel culture to assault free speech, shame and intimidate the public resulting in job loss and adverse impact on commerce, an assault on the constitution and democracy. By not speaking out about the riots and destruction in the northwest.

We are heading farther left. We are becoming a socialist state and this party is abetting the process moving forward. To deny that is folly.
Trump was a lost cause in so many ways, won’t be missed by many ‘unaffiliated registered voters, but the reset and the direction we are headed in is even more alarming.

The real terror to this country is politicos weaponing every opportunity to scare and divide us for their self-serving agendas and interests. And when either party wins, the policy becomes ‘We have the votes. With or without you, we have control, and we will use that power do what is in our best interests to keep that control’. We are being played!

Which leaves me to close with the statement I have been using for many years:

With rare exception, all politicos suck!

    Liz Cheney said Today:

"Liz Cheney suggests Trump tweet attacking Pence during MAGA riot 'was premeditated effort to provoke violence' as she refuses to quit the House after being censured by Wyoming Republicans"

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...or-Greene.html

    • Liz Cheney said Sunday she will not be stepping down after the Wyoming GOP voted last week to formally censure her for voting to impeach Donald Trump
    • She also said the GOP should not embrace the former president or ultra-loyalist Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, who pushed QAnon conspiracies
    • The Republican House caucus voted overwhelmingly last week to not force out Cheney from her post as GOP conference chairwoman
    • She did, however, face more backlash on a state-level with only eight of the 74-members of the state GOP 's central committee opposing censuring her
    • The censure accused Cheney of voting to impeach even though the U.S. House didn't offer Trump 'formal hearing or due process'
    • In addition to the vote, the party also announced that it was going to 'withhold any future political funding' from Cheney
    • The motion also called for Cheney to repay donations from the state GOP and any county Republican parties that donated to her most recent campaign
    • Cheney in a statement after the vote said she remained honored to represent Wyoming and will always fight for issues that matter most to the state
    • Republican officials said they invited Cheney but she didn't attend. An empty chair labeled 'Representative Cheney' sat at the front of the meeting room

The differences between Biden & Trump is that Biden is a career "politician" & Trump is a "business" man. Both have & will govern differently. The soft touch on socialism from the left is called democratic socialism. I would have to circle back on whether or not I agree with that LOL...IMO, it's bull$**t.

You are spot on that we are divided by the political parties agendas.

The executive orders within the first two weeks of his presidency is baffling. Most frightening, is that Biden has stated he does not know what he is signing. Really? You have been a career politician for decades and you don't know what you are signing? I would have to circle back on this thought...

Gee, from this screenname I don't see a lot of compromise over the years with the town boards and elections. Just saying

Not so Lee Chowaniec I welcome you to continue to embarrass yourself with your writings here - no doubt; but you seem to practice a style which says your statements that resemble cancel culture are legitimate and accuse people like me of cancel culture when it suits your purposes. Readers, it's a sort of "in the eye of the beholder" kind of cancel culture I guess. Go ahead, Lee, don't stop now. Again, I don't think Mr. Chowaniec takes into account Had enough yet when he appears before the town board an expects recognition and credibility. Again, just saying.

I can't remember in my lifetime a more socialist oriented bunch of folks, can you? Biden is a businessman as the "chairman" of Hudson West and don't forget Rosemont Seneca.. yup he IS a capitalist.

    REALITY CHECK

Loved receiving this email today and just had to share it as it is so befitting in today’s world.

    REALITY CHECK
    by George Carlin

Comedian George Carlin's wife died early in 2008 and George followed her, dying in July 2008. It is ironic George Carlin - comedian of the 70's to the time he died - could write something so very eloquent and so very appropriate. But he did.

"The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We have learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more but learn less. We plan more but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits, and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one-night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete.

Remember to spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.

Remember, to say, 'I love you' to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.

Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

And always, always remember, life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by those moments that take our breath away.

    George Carlin
