    From Rasmussen...

Trump’s The Choice For Voters Who’ve Experienced Violent Protests
    Tuesday, September 15, 2020

Three-out-of-four voters who’ve had violent anti-police protests in their community rate those protests important to their vote in the presidential election. Among these voters, a sizable majority like the job President Trump is doing.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 42% of Likely U.S. Voters have had anti-police protests in their community this summer. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Nearly half (48%) of these voters say the protests in their community have turned violent.

Among all voters, 65% say the violent protests are important to their vote in the presidential election this fall, with 41% who say it’s Very Important.

Among those who have had violent protests in their community, even more (76%) rate them important to their vote, including 54% who say they are Very Important. Sixty-three percent (63%) of these voters Strongly Approve of the job Trump is doing versus 35% who Strongly Disapprove.

(Want a free daily e-mail update? If it's in the news, it's in our polls). Rasmussen Reports updates are also available on Twitter or Facebook.

The survey of 1,000 Likely U.S. Voters was conducted September 9-10, 2020 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.

The protests champion defunding police departments and using that money for social programs. But 66% of Americans oppose defunding the police in the community where they live. Sixty-one percent (61%) believe violent crime is likely to go up in communities that defund the police.

Blacks (72%) and other minority voters (69%) place only slightly more importance on the protests from a voting standpoint than whites (63%) do, even though the overall focus of them has been police treatment of minorities.

Other minorities are more likely than blacks and whites to have experienced violent protest in their community. Those under 40 have shared that experience more than their elders have.

Fifty-five percent (55%) of Republicans say the violent protests are Very Important to their vote in the upcoming presidential election, compared to 35% of Democrats and 33% of voters not affiliated with either major party.

Most voters view the ongoing violent protests against police as primarily criminal in nature and think they will only make the criminal justice system in America worse.

Voters think big city leaders in places like Portland and Seattle where violent protests have gone on for weeks are bringing the violence on themselves, with most reporters cheering on the protesters.

Additional information from this survey and a full demographic breakdown are available to Platinum Members only.

An excellent tutorial on viruses in general and especially on Covid-19

After reading the following report, adding in the history of this virus and Chinese cover-up, one can easily conclude the narrative of the left and mainstream media was to weaponize the virus and use it blame and destroy Trump for anything and everything.

Along with the left’s weak stance against protest violence, ant- police violence, and violence in general, economy misinformation, the left and mainstream media is doing a disservice to party supporters. The public is not only becoming ‘woke’ to the false narrative, but tiring of it and turning away from the Democratic Party.

Even with a vaccine, Covid is likely to be here for years
    By Michelle Cortez
    BLOOMBERG NEWS

WASHINGTON – A global push is on to develop a vaccine to slow the spread of Covid-19, and experts hope several will be ready in 2021. Yet even with one, the coronavirus is likely to remain with us for years, demanding long efforts to find a cure for those who still fall sick.

In humanity’s struggle against viruses over millennia, prevention with vaccines has been far more successful than treatment with drugs. In fact, modern medicine has come up with a true cure for only one viral infection. For many serious infections, the best approaches are a cocktail of drugs that throw speed bumps in front of the infection. It’s a lackluster medical armory, belied by the seeming simplicity of our viral foes.

“They can’t live by themselves, they aren’t independent, they can’t process food, take in oxygen, reproduce themselves without the master support system of being the parasite inside a living cell,” said Paula Cannon, a professor at the University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine.

So why do viruses give humans so much trouble? Outside of the body, a vigorous hand-washing is enough to kill many. Inside, the immune system’s long memory is enough to make short work of most. It’s when we run into a new virus that the problems start.

The coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, is the latest in a procession of new infectious diseases that have surprised the world in recent years.

The best hope against it is a vaccine, which can stop infections before they take hold.

A vaccine is, essentially, a shortcut to immunity. But if we don’t have immunity and get sick, things get more complicated.
Because viruses can’t survive on their own, they hijack our cells to multiply. That parasitic dependence makes them hard to treat with most traditional drugs.

A virus is so interwoven with its host that it’s difficult to hurt one without hurting the other.SARS-CoV-2 infects the airways and lungs – the very things we need to breathe. That leaves an unappealing choice, according to Cannon. “I can kill the virus, but I would have to kill you to do it.”

Some vaccines, such as for measles, have created enough herd immunity that the virus can no longer take hold and spread in the population. In the best case, as with smallpox, the shots have driven the disease out of the human host population and into extinction.

Treating an active infection is another matter. There’s a pharmaceutical cure for only one virus: hepatitis C. Because of the “kill the virus, kill the host” problem, the best bet is often to slow the virus down enough that the body’s own defenses can do their job.

“When we can’t kill a virus, the best thing we can do is stop them from replicating,” said Raed Dweik, chair of the Cleveland Clinic’s Respiratory Institute in Ohio. “All we can do is shorten the period of infection, not cure. Even when the infection is over, the patient is more recovered than cured.”

Remdesivir, the only drug in wide use that targets SARS-CoV-2 itself, works by messing with the virus’ ability to replicate.

It causes errors when the virus tries to copy itself. It was also a product of luck: the drug was originally developed as a treatment for Ebola, but it wasn’t terribly effective and the waning outbreak in Africa made it difficult for its manufacturer, Gilead Sciences Inc., to study.Clinical trials have shown that remdesivir can help hospitalized Covid- 19 patients recover more quickly. But it’s not a cure, and it’s unlikely there will be one any time soon.

“It will take years to have potent and specific drugs that can stop coronavirus in its tracks,” Cannon said. “The vast majority of drug candidates fail.”

In the future, patients will likely get a cocktail of therapies that attack the virus and others that help keep them stable.

Currently, remdesivir is part of a cocoon of care that includes the only other cleared therapy, the steroid dexamethasone, as well as standard fare like fluids, plus aggressive approaches when needed including putting patients on ventilators. Other medicines are layered on top: blood thinners and experimental approaches to calm a potentially overactive immune system.

As new approaches reach the market, they’ll be added to the mix. But for most people, any viral treatment will have to outperform an already formidable and existing approach: the human immune system. It’s not a coincidence that many infections last for about two weeks, Cannon said. That’s how long it takes for the immune system to kick into gear.

“Our immune system is the world’s best drug maker,” she said. “Whether you had measles as a 5-year-old or Covid as a 50-year-old, our immune system comprises this vast library of potential antiviral approaches that offer protection.”

Antibodies, the infection-fighting proteins produced to ward off foreign invaders, are biological drugs we make ourselves, Cannon said. The body has the ability to make millions and millions of them, activating just the right one when it binds to a virus – then mass producing it over a period of about 14 days.

“This is when the immune system gets the upper hand,” Cannon said. “There are so many antibodies in the blood, coating the virus. They do a good job of neutralizing the virus. Eventually, the antibodies win the day.”

Those antibodies never fully recede to their initial low levels. Instead, they remain in reserve and on patrol for years, in case the threat returns. If that happens, the response doesn’t take 14 days. “If you get that same virus, the infection doesn’t take off because the antibodies kick in,” Canon said. “You don’t even get sick. That’s why, with the vast majority of viruses, you get them once and you are immune in the future.”

It’s this process that vaccines mimic. The man-made immunizations offer up a piece of the virus to the immune system, providing just enough for the body to activate against a potential threat without actually making the person sick. The immune system is thus alerted and able to prevent infection, rather than having to fight one off.

It’s also the approach behind another wave of therapies in development for more severe Covid-19 patients. Drug makers have figured out how to grow antibodies that mimic the natural ones the body produces, and experimental medicines based on them are coming from Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc., Roche Holding AG and Eli Lilly & Co. But those therapies are likely to be reserved for the sickest, hospitalized patients. And those types of therapies tend to be expensive – thousands of dollars for a single course.

Gilead’s hepatitis C drug, for example, cost $84,000 after it was approved for U.S. sale in 2013. Biotechnology drugs like the ones under development for Covid-19 likewise tend to cost tens of thousands of dollars per course. Vaccines, on the other hand, tend to be cheap – and keep people out of more expensive care.

“Because we can’t treat them very well, the critical thing is always prevention,” the Cleveland Clinic’s Dweik said. “Once you get infected, there is very little we can do other than support you through it or perhaps shorten it a bit. That’s why finding a vaccine is so important.”

There are hundreds of viruses that cause respiratory infections and are generally lumped together under the “common cold” banner. Several are coronaviruses.

The reasons we don’t have treatments for them is because each is so individualized and drug development is so expensive, often topping $1 billion per therapeutic. Each treatment would have to be crafted for a specific pathogen, following a tailor-made path so narrow that it would be almost impossible. Already, thousands have failed. And a cold? It typically goes away on its own.

The broader economics have historically worked against medicines for viral infections, leaving a gap in the type of innovation that has happened with other, more profitable conditions like cancer and heart disease. The most recent viral outbreaks, including SARS and MERS, both novel coronaviruses, as well as Zika, all ebbed before new treatments gained a foothold.

“Think about it from the perspective of a pharmaceutical company,” said James Cutrell, director of the infectious diseases fellowship program at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.

“Infection typically is an acute illness that you are going to treat for a short period of time. If it’s a rare infection, there may not be that many people who take it.

When these other viruses initially came out there was a lot of interest in developing treatments, but once they died off there wasn’t enough for clinical trials.”

The economic incentives for drug makers changed with the Covid-19 pandemic, which is so widespread and so disruptive that a vaccine is seen as a societal necessity.

The U.S. government, under its Operation Warp Speed program, has struck deals worth about $10 billion with drug makers to develop and manufacture multiple vaccines. The shots they come up with, and their successors, could end up being used for years around the globe.

It’s also certainly not the last new virus the world will encounter. “The science tells us that this virus isn’t unique, it’s one of many that are circulating in animals that may spread to us,” Dweik said. “There is no reason to think this won’t happen again.”

    It is still our choice

What a day, what a crowd, what stupidity! Who would you trust after hearing all the BS from both political parties today concerning the virus? None of them, IMO.

President Lialot declares the Covid vaccine is near – maybe late October – and it will be safe. Warp Speed officials say it will be free for everyone. The heath industry will be first recipients and the overwhelming majority of Americans will receive the vaccine before any federal official is injected.

Trump claims vaccine may be out by end of October and millions will be vaccinated shortly thereafter, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention head Robert Redfield said a vaccine likely wouldn't be ready until late November or December, and it would take “six to nine” months to get every American vaccinated. He predicted would be able to return to “regular life” by late next year. "Under no circumstance will it be as late as the doctor said,” declares Trump.

Biden voiced concerns Trump was putting politics ahead of safety. Harris will not take the vaccine until it is proven safe – however long that may take.

    Masks

Against all scientific conviction, Trump not only doesn’t wear a mask, he questions their efficacy and sets a poor example by not wearing one.

Biden believes he would have authority to impose national mask mandate

CNN claims the president is trying to create an impression of a return to normalcy before Election Day Announcing a vaccine appears to be a key part of that strategy. (Duh)!

These are our leaders and a media weaponizing the virus, confusing and scaring the hell out a country already beset with emotional trauma, all for self-serving political agendas.

The public still the freedom to decide if-and- when it believes the need, safety, and efficacy meets their purpose of being vaccinated.

Excepting rare occurrences, all politicos suck!

If you think my comments equating the civil unrest to an ongoing revolution by the Marxists, consider this headline today in Forbes Magazine.

Today's Wall Street Journal has the exact same report.

Note that while the source is anonymous, the subject of both stories is supremely authoritative...

    TOPLINE

Attorney General William Barr told federal prosecutors to consider charging violent protesters with plotting to overthrow the U.S. government, the Wall Street Journal reported citing anonymous sources, the latest move by the U.S. Department of Justice to crack down on demonstrations for police reform and against racism that have swept the nation.

I watched Outnumbered yesterday and thought the panelists were going to wet themselves when Gingrich referred to Soros’ involvement in the violent protests.

Soros’ involvement in contributing to radical left organizations and political candidates has been openly and widely discussed in other media outlets and by journalists / pundits / politicos – except of course by the biased left mainstream media who won’t even mention the guy’s name.

Some of these claim Soros has done more to subvert and harm our traditional democracy than anyone else.

    Lee,

Soros is a huge threat to American Democracy, but is only one of the financial backers and key players in the broad revolutionary scheme developed, and now being applied by, the concerted efforts of foreign actors, Socialists, Globalists, and Marxists.

A major element to the broad scheme, like the 1917 Bolsheviks, is violent civil unrest resultant from perceived social and economic injustices. In that regard, it is my opinion that our black brethren are being exploited as the 2020 version of the 1917 "Useful Idiots."

With that said, in exposing Soros, it is not just revealing one head of the revolutionary hydra. When one exposes Soros' connections, strategies, and tactics, one exposes the existent Revolutionary template. As such, is it any small wonder why Melissa Francis and Mary Harf went scooters on the air yesterday?

Furthermore, Gingrich looked absolutely befuddled at the interventions. However, once he grasped the present reality, he wisely concluded his comments by calling-out the show's rather obvious corporate topical limitations with the use of the word "VERBOTEN" regarding the subject of Soros.

To specifically amplify on the Soros role in what I consider to be this national revolution, these words were spoken by Soros on January 23, 2020...

At the same time, Trump’s economic team has managed to overheat an already buoyant economy. The stock market, already celebrating Trump’s military success, is breaking out to reach new heights. But an overheated economy can’t be kept boiling for too long.

If all this had happened closer to the elections, it would have assured his reelection. His problem is that the elections are still 10 months away and in a revolutionary situation, that is a lifetime
    .

    Reference: https://www.georgesoros.com/2020/01/...nomic-forum-3/

Those words were spoken on January 23, 2020, well before the Covid 19 lockdowns and George Floyd.

Ergo, I ask "What revolutionary situation existed on January 23, 2020?"

What did "Spooky Dude" know at that time which would compel him to use such a term?

Perhaps the answer is known, but in the tradition of "The Outnumbered," that question should remain unasked?

To illustrate just one example of what one may find if it digs just below the Soros surface, consider these quotes from an article in Politico, dated November 13, 2015...

Major donors consider funding Black Lives Matter
"Some of the biggest donors on the left plan to meet behind closed doors next week in Washington with leaders of the Black Lives Matter movement and their allies to discuss funding the burgeoning protest movement, POLITICO has learned."

The meetings are taking place at the annual winter gathering of the Democracy Alliance major liberal donor club, which runs from Tuesday evening through Saturday morning and is expected to draw Democratic financial heavyweights, including Tom Steyer and Paul Egerman.
The DA, as the club is known in Democratic circles, is recommending its donors step up check writing to a handful of endorsed groups that have supported the Black Lives Matter movement. And the club and some of its members also are considering ways to funnel support directly to scrappier local groups that have utilized confrontational tactics to inject their grievances into the political debate.
The Democracy Alliance was created in 2005 by a handful of major donors, including billionaire financier George Soros
    Reference: https://www.politico.com/story/2015/...-matter-215814

The Soros-Democracy Alliance connection I am confident is only the tip of the iceberg; one fang, in the mouth of one head, of the revolutionary multi-headed hydra.

If Soros is but one of a number of socialists supporting organized anarchists, the government should investigate and expose where the funding is coming from to support these endeavors.

These are the dark days coming and reasons why:

FBI worried about clashes between violent groups before US vote

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world...?ocid=msedgdhp

Newt Gingrich: Riots, looting, violent crime -- There's a human cost with pro-crime, anti-police prosecutors

    https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/riot...-newt-gingrich

In fact, Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt has been adding fuel to the fires. Elected in May, Schmidt officially begins his term in January but was appointed to fill the remainder of his retired predecessor’s term in July during the violence.

Schmidt announced last month that he would be dropping the cases of more than 500 protestors who were arrested for disorderly conduct, interfering with police, and other charges.

The Left spent millions of dollars in taxpayer dollars and wasted the time of the Congress for three years pursuing concerns about foreign interference in the 2016 election. So, prepare yourself for whiplash, because this is what the Left wants in 2020...

    From The Washington Free Beacon...
Karen Bass: ‘We Need International Observers for This Election’
    David Rutz - SEPTEMBER 17, 2020 6:50 PM

Congressional Black Caucus chairwoman Karen Bass (D., Calif.) called for "international observers" of the 2020 election on Thursday, comparing the United States to African nations that recently held elections in need of outside legitimation.

"I frankly think we need international observers for this election," Bass said on MSNBC. "I have gone to Kenya, I've gone to Zimbabwe. I have been an international observer, and I think we could use that here."

Bass, who was on the shortlist to be Joe Biden's 2020 running mate, said she wanted to go beyond former director of national intelligence Dan Coats's call for a bipartisan, domestic commission to oversee the 2020 race, saying Republicans could not be trusted because of their push for "voter suppression."

"I think unless we acted proactively and were aggressive about it, I don't think that this would be a fair election," Bass said.

The United States has hosted election observer groups before, such as the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, which has monitored seven U.S. elections since 2002. In 2016, the Organization of American States sent its first mission to observe a U.S. race.

Bass's star rose when she was vetted as a potential vice-presidential pick, but revelations about her past praise of Cuban dictator Fidel Castro and the controversial Church of Scientology doomed her prospects.

    No exaggeration here?

A shameful, outrageous exploitation of the COVID issue at the expense of victims' family, in my opinion.

Biden says if Trump acted sooner on coronavirus 'all the people would still be alive'
'Just look at the data. Look at the data,' Biden said

Looks like Princeton has become "WOKE" to such an extent that it may have shot itself in the foot, eh?

Education Department Investigating Princeton Because Its President Said the University Has Been Racist for Decades

The U.S. Department of Education (DOE) sent a letter to Princeton University’s president, informing him that it was opening an investigation into whether Princeton University has been racist. The DOE investigation appears to be the direct result of the university president recently admitting his institution has long been a participant in systemic racism.

Biden will not appear on FOX

One Biden insider conceded that while the campaign believes Fox News amplifies “blatant lies from Donald Trump to aid in his re-election,” it was strategically important to reach some possible persuadable voters. “They shouldn’t be treated like a real news organization because they lack the standards and ethics of real journalists,” the insider said. “But that doesn’t mean the campaign doesn’t value voters who watch Fox News, and sometimes it’s important to speak to those folks.”

So, only Biden surrogates will appear on FOX. Unfortunate as Biden may have been asked to clarify his allegations against Trump and his positions on correcting and/or making America ‘better yet’. Such as:

Distorting and/or misleading statements from the onset of the coronavirus and escalating charge of deaths caused by Trumps leadership inability - where deaths by Trump have risen from 40,000 to all deaths. “Follow the science, the data is there,” Biden tells us. Your COVID reaction does appear to be disingenuous, Mr. Biden
Civil unrest. As Trump is the president, Biden claims all the civil unrest taking place in states run by Democrats is in his providence. Claims we would be safer under Biden. How?

Law and order. Silent through the convention now offers but a simple condemnation; no solution except to claim he is against defunding the police.
Vaccine. Biden declares Trump is politicizing the vaccine to garner votes. Harris encourages people not to take it until it is proven safe – regardless of time lapse. Vaccine opponents had already begun efforts to disparage the future vaccine as early as April, months, before any clinical trials.

Economy. Biden will improve the economy for all, but especially for the middle class, but offers no plans how. In fact, not adverse to locking down the country if the science suggests it. Slowing the economy and growing the economy is oxymoronic.

Fracking. Dead against but a few months ago, but okay with it for now. How long is the ‘now’?

Illegal Immigration? Open borders? Sanctuary Cities? Socialism?

Who are you really, Mr. Biden? We certainly know everything from the mainstream media and Democrats about the so-called Lying King.
