While America continues to suffer, our inept and dysfunctional Congress continues to play partisan politics and fails again to pass a massive stimulus package to respond to the economic fallout of the coronavirus.

Democrats have repeatedly blocked efforts to advance the stimulus because of concerns that it prioritizes corporate industry over American workers. Republicans have argued that Democrats are stalling critical economic relief amid the devastating spread of coronavirus.

Do something, damn it. America is looking for any ray of hope and these jagoffs, along with a sensationalizing biased media continue to frighten the public – a public that has (for the most part) been magnanimous in this time of crisis.

It has become a time when voting for the lesser of two evils has become a time of why vote for any of these douchebags!

I wanted to so badly to post an email video I received today where in 2015 Bill Gates predicted such pandemic was possible in the near future and where America was ill-prepared to handle such crisis - knowing such event was possible and where America failed to prepare for it, then and in past administrations. Unfortunately, I failed in my attempt to do so.

Our government has been focused on policies and spending resources on partisan programs that serve their agendas and best interests over that of American citizens - vote getting self-serving agendas that divides America in the process!

Have any of those clowns ever heard of a "Clean Bill?"

I understand yesterday, a deal was very close toward a "Reconciliation-ready" bill in the Senate yesterday, until Nancy Pelosi tried to load a 1,400 House version with an ultra-Left shopping list. Such BS includes provisions for Green New Deal garbage, benefits for labor unions, and voter reform apparently aimed at improving the Democrats' electoral position.

Pelsoi's suggested deal-breaking House counter-part legislation emerged from the Democrat "Swamp," even while there were predictions of a 50% drop in GDP and a 30% rise in unemployment.

In December, Pelosi's House leadership claimed that removing Trump was a matter of urgency, and celebrated the Bill of Impeachment with souvenir pens. Is this current worldwide health and economic threat of less import?

Lee, I have been very willing to give Poloncarz and Cuomo overall high marks on their handling of the crisis, but on this national legislative relief package, the fault, in my opinion, resides almost exclusively with the Socialist-Democrats in the House. The so-called "Peoples' House," as a collective Democrat-run institution, in my opinion, is as shameful as Diane Feinstein and her fellow money-grabbing Republican Senate colleagues, whose finances seemingly benefited by advance COVID-19 information.

But, no worries, because as this is written, Mnuchin says a reconciled bill will emerge tomorrow; just in time for stock futures to rise overnight, but regrettably, to perhaps once again greet the morning with a crash if legislative disappointment does an encore, eh?

To me, it seems like there are some people those who not only want to tank the economy, but to travel back to 1932.

The economic stimulus package will be the largest assistance program in the history of the United States and the Democrats are dickering for more money for non-emergency, unrelated policy projects.

While people are dying or in dire need of immediate economic aid, the Dems are holding back and proposing a bill that includes measures to restrict airlines' carbon emissions, pay off billions in student loan debt, encourage federal agencies to employ "minority banks," bail out the U.S. Postal Service and even fund the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

Republicans, including the president, have called the measures "nonsense" nonstarters – and rightfully so.

No facts or truth here, right?

Biden talking out of his ass. Impossible!

    Lee,

The recent visuals of Trump and Cuomo working together in the best American tradition, were indeed inspiring.

That said, I wonder why the ult-Left in the House seems intent on blowing up this "Era of Good Feeling" with such unreasonable and entirely inappropriate attachments to a legislative proposal intended to confront a present crisis, save lives, preserve our financial system, and to defeat an enemy which appears to be just as dangerous as any human enemy or foreign foe.

Ergo, I am beginning to become suspicious that such reckless Leftist conduct may be an indication of the furtherance of the Socialist/Globalist/Deep State resistance to the Trump Presidency.

That partisan behavior in my opinion, may serve to support the early suspicion(s) previously resident in some minds, that the extraordinary government interventions were in part resultant of an unspoken motive or agenda.

    Senate passes coronavirus stimulus package

    https://www.foxnews.com/politics/fin...ver-provisions

The U.S. Senate on Wednesday overwhelmingly backed a $2 trillion bill aimed at helping unemployed workers and industries hurt by the coronavirus epidemic, as well as providing billions of dollars to buy urgently needed medical equipment.

After bitter negotiations, the deeply divided Senate came together and passed the bill by a unanimous 96-0 vote, which sent the massive stimulus package to the House of Representatives, which could vote sometime this week.

Gone from the stimulus bill are mentions of mandatory early voting, ballot harvesting, requirements that federal agencies review their usage of "minority banks," and provisions curbing airlines' carbon emissions -- a Pelosi demand that even Saikat Chakrabarti, the former chief of staff to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and an author of the Green New Deal, called "ridiculous."

"What's not in the Senate's bipartisan coronavirus bill: Pelosi's outrageous wish list," wrote GOP national spokesperson Elizabeth Harrington. "0 mentions of 'diversity.' 0 mentions of 'emissions.' 0 mentions of 'early voting.' 0 mentions of 'climate change.' Good!"

Also in the evening, Pelosi said unanimous consent was a nonstarter in the House, and implied that quick passage in the lower chamber may be unrealistic

“That’s not gonna work," she told reporters shortly after 7:30 p.m. ET, referring to unanimous consent. "Republicans have told us that’s not possible from their said. ... What I’d like to see -- because this a $2 trillion bill -- I’d like to see a good debate on the floor."

Amid the debate, presidential hopeful Sen. Bernie Sanders said he might try to torpedo the Senate's stimulus package as Republican senators raised objections about what they called a "massive drafting error" related to unemployment benefits.

    Yep.

If memory serves, he was a Republican Congressman from Florida, and functioned as a tolerable talking head for Bush #43 on MSNBC during the 2000 Florida recount. However, even then, there were strong suggestions of "RINOism" in his comments, just my opinion of course.

    They all suck!

While some wonder if our civil rights are being trampled on where stores and businesses are shuttered by the government and citizens are forced into lockdown for the best interests of the country, they should question how we got into this mess and what’s taking so long to get out.

As we sit self-confined in fear in our homes, attacked by an invisible, deadly contagion we are supposed to be consoled by a generous stimulus package and to be understanding and forgiving of who, why and what led us to such misery and fear.

Hope and assurance from either the Republican or Democratic Parties who bicker over the stimulus package for political advantage? From a President who promised ‘everything was under control’ and continues to release false information? From a ‘do nothing partisan / divisive Congress’ – with the Democrats wasting valuable time and resources attempting to undermine and unsuccessfully impeach a president?

Hope and assurance from a biased liberal mainstream media who post the most hateful, manipulated / speculative / fear mongering news to attack the president and in such way to strike fear and divisiveness? From a ‘lap dog’ conservative media who gloss over the fact that America was unprepared for this crisis, but who now declare ‘hey look what we are doing now’.

The type of epidemic taking place now was spoken and written about for years, and yes, America remained asleep at the wheel. Not only disregarded by Trump, but by several past administrations. But the Dems will blame Trump and disregard the inaction and guilt of their own party. How many ‘whistleblowers’ and ‘leakers did the Dems have coming out of the woodwork to get Trump’s ass in the past three years. But, silent on their part in being prepared for this crisis?

    They all suck!

Ted Cruz and Bernie Sanders both voted for the 2 trillion dollar stimulus bill. UNHEARD OF!

But, to your point Lee, yes "they all suck," and Representative Thomas Massie, a Kentucky Republican is an example of such a grandstanding, world-class ass hole.

Massey, a great "Constitutionalist" is putting people first: HIMSELF!
