"Had Enough Yet" indeed.
Concerning America's role in the Middle East in general, and its relationship with the whacktoids in Tehran in particular, I "Had Enough" over forty years ago.
We have been putting up with these types of Iranian dramatics since early 1979...
https://www.express.co.uk/news/world...amkaran-Mosque
...and the November 4, 1979 seizure of the U.S. Embassy was not the first such occurrence...
https://www.nytimes.com/1979/02/15/a...-of-100-a.html
Trump was correct in responding to the killing of the American and the Iranian-inspired attack on our Embassy in Baghdad.
Now, the Iraqis are pissed-off at us. Seriously?
I simply can not improve or otherwise expand on this comment other than to add "AMEN!"...

Lee, the problem for me is that from my quick read, the amount and the some conditions are to remain confidential.
I for one would really like everyone to know just how terrible this young teen Sandman was treated. The Leftist media deserves the public humiliation of the pillory.

Has hate permeated the radical left to the point of unreasonableness
Yeah, I know, there are many Trump haters who will oppose him at any level, but does he deserve to be equated to the monster he just killed when the same situation existed when monsters bin Laden and al-Baghdadi were assassinated? Has partisan hate blinded us to act incoherently?
To hear that Trump had no constitutional authority to take out Soleimani is disturbing – that his removal could be more troublesome than letting him continue to kill Americans and/or angering the Iranians.
Trump brings down a monstrous terrorist and the media labels Trump the monster – labeling him a ‘Hitler’ and racist.
To think that the radical left, media and even presidential candidates share beliefs that Trump somehow shares the blame for the downed commercial airliner because of his provocative actions – calling it collateral. Seriously?
I realize how badly the left wants him removed from office because he is a serious contender for re-election, but after three wasted years of pursuing ineffective methods and spending American treasure, this is but another wasted attempt by the radical left to gain American empathy and support.
Still of the mind that we should get the **** out of the middle east.
Hate triumphs over reason
Numerous articles have been published how the U.S. and Iran pulled back from the brink of war. As reported in the New York Times: The operation that took out Soleimani, commander of the Quds Force of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, propelled the United States to the precipice of war with Iran and plunged the world into seven days of roiling uncertainty.
What led to the U.S. decision to take out Soleimani has been clearly reported in detail. It wasn’t one provocation initiated by the Iranians, or by this ‘monster’ who has been labeled a ‘terrorist’ for years and recognized for killing at least 600 Americans.
What I find puzzling and troubling is the reaction on the part of the media, pundits, politicos and even presidential candidates to the incident.
• After countless provocations by the Iranians through the years, Trump is being labeled the provocateur.
• Despite the de-escalation, a doomsday scenario continues to be espoused.
• The naysayers are charging Trump with lying and not involving Congress for approval, yet accepted Iran’s initial fairytale that their rockets killed 80 Americans – and where later Iran announced there was not intent to kill any Americans.
• The acceptance of Iran’s lie that they were not involved in the downed commercial airline. Iran recanted and even the Iranian people are pissed at the lie and are marching in the streets protesting.
• Buttigieg and others blaming Trump for the downing of the airliner and the ‘collateral damage’ that resulted.
• Our embassy in Iraq was under attack. Sovereign land; an act of war. Nothing there, move on!
• Considering the killing of the monster Soleimani, responsible for the loss of thousands of lives, not justified because the potential unintended consequences.
How easy it has become to trash America for any reason in the name of hate.
If Iraq requests, we pull out our troops out, we should not hesitate to do so.
Lee,
IMHO, Trump is handling Iran perfectly, especially in regards to the internal protests over the shoot-down.
At this point in time, Trump appears to be very ably threading a delicate needle. The President seems to lend moral encouragement to the Iranian protesters with hints of an unspoken covert support, but stops short of prematurely calling for, what is at this specific point in time, unrealistic regime change.
Concurrently, he wisely and cautiously appears to raise the specter of international justice applied to those in a possible post-Mullah Iran, who have, or may have, transgressed international law by violently suppressing the human rights of the protesters.
IMHO, brilliant, because he wisely stops short of recklessly exaggerating the extent and substance of any such U.S. supportive commitment. This sentence strongly suggests that any desired regime change remains the ultimate responsibility of the Iranian people...
Lee, as I see it, history is replete with lessons of American leadership, delivered both publicly and privately, gone wrong in connection with commitments to either prop-up existent friendly foreign leaders, or to assist revolutionary freedom fighters: Hungary, 1956; Vietnam for a huge chunk of our life time; Cuba, 1960-1962; Chile, 1973, and Samosa, 1979."WE are following YOUR protests closely, and are INSPIRED by YOUR courage."
I am totally for moral encouragement to the brave protesters; warning the Iranian leaders of the collective international consequences for the wanton slaughter of human life; and, for any covert methods to support the freedom fighters in their efforts.
But, to decapitate the mullah regime or otherwise apply an overt policy of U.S. intervention in Iran, with the resultant nation-building "in our image:" NOPE!
There has been way too much U.S. blood and treasure expended in a efforts to bring western democracy to a world that was created in the diverse images of God, not in the singular cherished image of the American experience.
Just my two cents.

Numerous articles from a biased media doesn't mean crap other than to give people like yourself something to support your ignorant perspective.
Iran and the United States were not at the precipice of war. Iran may be a backwards country when it comes to how they live but they are not stupid. A war costs money and resources. This is taught in 8th grade but apparently you forgot this lesson. Iran doesn't have any money right now and it's entire economy is supported by the crutch of oil. In a war the oil infrastructure would be taken out in less than 24 hours. Both the stockpiles and refineries. Iran would not only have it's income ended it would also have any collateral destroyed, which in turn, would allow it to seek global financing. Even the most bat **** dictators do not run charity.
Your line of thinking is for weak sheep like yourself who don't have spine. It's why your generation is the worst in US history. You ran the country into the ground and don't have a spine to bring it back up. Enjoy the warm blanket that the NYT provides you. It's only a matter of time before we can just rock you to sleep with bedtime stories at the home.

Hey Mark.
In case you don't recall, I am not a Catholic like you. So your request for another male to 'suck this' isn't appropriate. I think you should say with the little choir and altar boys your ilk like to fondle and ask so brazenly to 'suck this'...your kind seems to do better with little boys who are afraid to say no.
Ya putz.

I thought your name was leftWNYbecauseofBS. Is it Lefty now?
And what is so inappropriate about sucking? Haven't you ever heard of Ludens, Halls, or Tootsie Pops?
A lot of pornographic presumin' going on in your bizarre Socialist-Libertarian mind, which may border on having a Tourette's diagnosis, huh?
Perhaps your stellar intellect is engaging in an obsessively piggish thought pattern, or doth the CHICKEN SHIoT screen name protest too much, methinks?
See, a one track mind, eh piggy?:
From the Oxford Dictionary:
Thank you for the highbrow exchange, and goodbye. What does Putz mean in Yiddish?
Even though they don't seem similar, putz and schmuck share the same meaning in Yiddish. Schmuck comes from shmok meaning penis. And putz comes from putz, which is another word for penis.

Spot on, Mark (post 1547). Credit given where credit is due.
Trump can be ostracized for myriad reasons. The handling of this situation is not one of them. However, Trump haters will never support any action on his part to protect our national security interests at home or abroad. The rally around the flag days are no more.
The coup in place to nullify Trump’s accomplishments at any cost to remove him from office is absurd. The Trump policy of freedom and democracy is being fostered in the Tehran and Hong Kong protests and the recent Taipei election.
The establishment appeasement policy is being challenged and the left is mad as hell.
Now why would a Catholic little boy gobbler like yourself be calling me 'lefty'? Really unsure as to why me calling out your religion as run by pedophiles and having guilty like yourself look the other way while little boys were raped is a left wing thing.
If there is a hell, you would surely be going there for looking the other way.
Are those names for your wife or your priest? Unsure what level of freaky you boomer catholics get down with these days.....
You're too stupid to realize that I am the farthest thing from left wing. Just like your religion is the farthest thing from decency.

This exchange ends here.
To my discredit, I never called you "Lefty," but based on your collective comments, I called you a "Pig."
However, after a further reading and assessment of all of your disgusting comments, we do not think you are the run-of-the mill troll. It is our informed opinion that you were previously, and remain, a very troubled person, engaging in "Projection."
Prayers for you my sick friend.
