Dose anyone have any additional information about Issa, his BSC Group and their past history in other cities?

According to Business First, it won't be started until it's 40% leased. It's an awfully big building, so I have to question whether it gets built. The rendering on BuffaloRising shows it behind the proposed new federal courthouse, I think, which also seems to be in limbo at present.

There would be no reason for the guy to intentionally bluff this - it seems like he's already spent a ton of money on architect's fees. Whether or not the demand will be there is another story.

To infer that he may be a "snake oil salesman" seems a bit disengenous, at best.

I agree there is no reason for him to bluff with this one. This guy has a ton of money and a really good track record in Manchester England, a city that people tell me has many similarities to Buffalo. Now that doesn't mean that finding tenants will be easy, but maybe with some of his international connections he will be able to come through with some outside tenants. The building certainly is a draw, and rivals anything in Toronto or New York. I hope he can pull this off.

    Key facts being--
No. 1 He doesn't want any public money
No. 2 He doesn't want any of Buffalo's streets
No. 3 He doesn't plan to run an illegal business(s) in the proposed building.
No. 4 He figures he'll have to pay taxes like anyone else.
No. 5 He doesn't make the mayor or several other Buffalonians grovel.

I hate to bring a 5 year old post out of the depths but the original writer of this topic was SPOT ON.
