To All:

Like it or not, all property owners in the Town of Boston are now being sued by a band of folks who simply refuse to follow the law. At the request of taxpayers and residents, the Town adopted rules regarding lawn signs. It is actually very simple. If you want a sign, you get a permit, pay a fee and away you go.

If you break the law, you get a ticket. Simple right?

Not for some.

Some decide the law does not apply to them and sued the Town.

The defense of this lawsuit will cost the taxpayers tens of thousands of dollars. That is right. The taxpayers pay. You are defending it. You are being sued. You are paying the bill.

Do not let anyone lie to you or tell you anything different. It is about the Town Clerk signs. Plain and simple. Now it is costing you money. Real money.

The suit is public record. The plaintiffs are listed. 12 disgruntled folks with lots of time on their hands. They are asking for damages that you will pay. They claim they have been harmed.

A former temporary Supervisor has gone so far as to sue you because he "thinks" he might be ticketed. He wasn't. He just thinks it could happen, so he sued you too!! Seriously. You can't make this stuff up!!

They are reaching right into your pocket.

They are going to tell you it is a constitutional issue. They hired a lawyer. They think they are going to the Supreme Court. Hilarious. It is pretty sad to think they are going to cost the taxpayers tens of thousands of dollars to save ten bucks.

You have two choices. Bend over and pay up, or STAND UP!! Stand up and let the band of 12 know where they stand! Nowhere here in the Town of Boston.
