Yes. Not much more details than what the article states. My grandfather always talked about the salt mine. I didn't know if which of the two owned it. My great great grand father or my great grand father.

He was born in Campochiaro, Italy and as the article states sold his farm to come to the USA.

Small, picturesque town inside the Matese mountains, it was originally a Samnite center as documented by remains of huge pre-Roman walls on the hill of Civitavecchia, and by the many burial sites dating back to the 8th and 7th centuries BC.

I did find an election for my great grandfather. Who would have thought that a little farm town would have 3 assessors?
Everyone that won was Republican.


In Lancaster, the outcome was different.


In Cheektowaga, the supervisor winner, John Stock was a Democrat. The article doesn't state what the other winners' parties were.

The gentleman would be my great grand father.
