Akron Resident's has "Town Support"
In the Bufnews this morning, the article on Akron Airport is of great interest to the resident's in Lancaster. Councilman Harold Finger who lives below the airport, states Bufnews is a proponent to limiting flights and jets to the Akron airport. He is in full support of what the resident's want who are all about "safey" first.
"Town attorney Nathan Neil said adding jet fuel tanks "would be expanding the non-conforming use" of the airport and noted that the community doesn't want jets using the airport because of the noise." stated in the Bufnews. "Supervisor DAvid Cummings said the original permit for the airport set rules on what fuel could be stored there." also stated in the Bufnews.
Comment: Notice Non-conforming use people. A town that is fully aware, a town that is prepared to work together to make the airport and resident's work together. Also notice about the noise impact. Why is it the town are sympathetic to the residents, but here in Lancaster they buck the resident's. Well this taxpayer has had it with the town not adjusting to the taxpayers and taking notice.
Bufnews states the following of interest, "You need to identify the real conditions...maybe the detention ponds need to be lined with clay...there needs to be extra work and creativity" to resolve the problems from storm water runoff from the airport, George said.
Comment: Don't we seem to have storm water problems here, what about the wetlands near the Lancaster airport, the ponds that exist on property recently bought by the airport with FAA monies? It appears that there are more serious things to start thinking about PEOPLE OF LANCASTER....
