    Get ready for sticker shock....

    If your taxes are included in your mortgage.....and your reassessment went up in 2015 your escrow may just now be adjusting to compensate...my neighbors went up over $800.

    You should be thrilled your assessment went up.. That means the property you own has gone up in value.

    Not doubting your neighbors but that would be a $10000 increase in taxes

    Are you sure it's not an $800 increase in escrow or 66/mos?

    which is only good if you're planning on selling right now. If you're planning on staying there for years to come it'll simply cost you more money. It's stupid the way property taxes work. A cop car driving down the street costs the same amount regardless of the value of the house it is driving in front of
