Hiding this "Double dip" scheme involves ethics, morals and character -
In my opinion we need elected and appointed officials that do not have a conflict of interest. We need public servants (not public employees) that will do their jobs based upon what should be done and not how it impacts their wallet or the wallet of their friends and families or the person sitting next to them.
We have now created a government that is conducted by a majority of individuals that benefit financially directly or in directly from their decisions.
Ethical restrictions should apply to anyone who profits from their relationship with government, whether it involves a salary, a pension, or other tax funded benefits, like a commission, a retainer or a contract !

Next time our Town Board Controllers sit there and say - "The cost of employees are killing us - we don't have enough reserves because we gave
$800,000.00 in back pay to the Police"'(But she will try and blame that on Supervisor Foduli even though the Police Officials refused to negotiate with him and the deal was back-doored in without him) .
or - "we all have to sacrifice for the good of the Community" -
Remember the new Supervisor will collecting [U]
$3000.00+/- tax dollars a week !
$500,000.00 for a four year term (If she finishes it
)
When Town Hall claims
“there is no additional tax money from us for the Town Clerk Johanna Coleman Metz's Pension - and they say,"The (retirement) money comes from the state.” because its their friend doing it - they apparently forgot that it all comes from taxpayers!
Is this what taxpayers voted for ?
