    Pavement Road Bridge

In the Bufnews Fix It stated that Sen. D. Volker was contacted and guess what, it was referred to the Erie County Public Works Department. When things get sticky, Sen. Volker passes it to someone else.

Well it appears that the bridge was secured, that will be that way again for another 10 years or until something actually seriously happens.

When I drive on that bridge, I do the sign of the cross.

Thumbs down Bufnews takes credit, nothing happened

Bufnews implies "Action" where none truly taken.

Is a "Patch Job" considered a correction?

Who's interests were protected - Commercial traffic/Developers or tax paying residents?

Fix It/Repairs made to Lancaster's Pavement Road bridge

By Helen Jones NEWS STAFF REPORTER

While progress has been made on a number of road projects in Erie County, several readers have raised concerns about the status of the Pavement Road bridge in the Town of Lancaster.

Located near Walden Avenue, the bridge has been the subject of concern by drivers and residents of the area. Last month, the New York State Department of Transportation red-flagged the bridge and restricted traffic on it.

“What’s happening to this bridge?” one reader asked in an e-mail to The News. “The state red-flagged it a few weeks ago.”

Fix It contacted State Sen. Dale Volker’s office Friday, and was referred to the Erie County Public Works Department.

Commissioner Gerard Sentz acknowledged that the bridge had been red-flagged by the state Department of Transportation.

Lancaster's Government plays: "Pass the buck!"

Typical Lancaster, while the bridges continue to rot, the sewers are overloaded, water pressure dwindles - agencies and Elected ones blame each other.
    -
This bridge was important to local developers and a handful of commercial concerns, it gets quietly "Patched." That doesn't solve the decease, it hides one of the symptoms.
    -
This Town has been over built, under planned and infra structure ignored. Taxpayers will again be stuck with the bill.
    -
This bridge was "Patched" for commercial interests, not residents safety.
    -
Eventually, many bridges in Lancaster ravaged by years of abuse and neglect will crumble.
    -
The Town has never planned for the future, only considering one election cycle at a time. One new subdivision at a time. One special interest group at a time.
    -
This article/Press Release glosses over the problem, lends a false sense of action. It infers concern, reality shows the opposite.
#Dems play musical chairs + patronage and nepotism = entitlement !
