The Israeli/Palestinian problem is a no win situation. Both sides have valid points and both sides are religious extremists. The only solution is to pull ouf of the Middle East completely . . .Israel, Iraq and anywhere else we have troops. They will then have to settle this war amongst themselves. They will either recognize that fact that both sides have valid issues and compromise. Or, they will continue to fight until one side is defeated. My money is on the Arabs. The worst possible things is for other countries to get involved.

Pulling out of Iraq would put the problem in the lap of the Shiites, Sunnis & Kurds. Let them solve it, they have to live with the solution.

Our efforts to interfere do nothing but fan the flames of terrorism and postpone a real solution.
    The path is clear
    Though no eyes can see
The course laid down long before.
And so with gods and men
The sheep remain inside their pen,
Though many times they've seen the way to leave.

According to Karl Rove, that's Democrat territory.

By the way, did you hear your pal O'Reilly compare the Liberal Left to the Nazi Party?
Far Left is the new Far Right. If you think this clown is right on, you need help.

Think you can trust the government?

Glad to hear you're listening to Bill, Len.

Might--over a great deal of time--improve your outlook.

These fanatics cry "Death to America."

Sorry pal, but that's a call to arms.

I'll call them towelheads, call for bombing runs, cheer on the SEALS and Green Berets.

If you don't recognize an enemy, you need to move out of the way.

I could live with that solution.

Right after we turn Iran, Syria and Gaza to brown glass.

    Get it?

    Biker:

With all due respect, I don't think you could describe me as a "liberal democrat". I'm sure many here would agree.

I'm just saying that there's a lot more to this problem then meets the eye, and saying that we can nuke other people into submissiveness is not the answer.

I say that, and my reasoning is not based in compassion for arabs. Nuking anyone is a sure recipe for getting nuked, sooner or later. The Germans had a nasty habit of kicking the crap out of anyone in their way, and ten years later Germany was utterly destroyed by the rest of the world.

The Isrealis and the arabs need to be forcefully partitioned by the UN, and the line of partion must be equally disagreeable to both parties. Let future generations figure it out. It worked as the Iron Curtin and the Korean DMZ for 50+ years.

Read your history and be a little more responsible. I've got kids.

Data is not the plural of Anecdote.

    Nukes are Armegeddon last resort.

But your solution contains its failure. "...forcefully partitioned by the UN."

Come on. Did you know there has been a UN force in place in So Lebanon since 1978. XX-FIL something or other.

Laura Ingram was on O'Reilly tonight. I miss her. Catch her on the West Coast 6 AM till 9 AM. Tough lady. Her advice to Israel: kick ass and kill as many Hezbollah as possible till the inevitable "call for cease-fire" comes in.

    Good advice.

Maybe they can send Diane Bennet to negotiate the peace. Then she can come back and lecture us on why a casino is so bad.

On second thought, maybe nukes are not so bad.

    LHardy:

I think there's a place where the girlie-men can make a meaningful contribution: UNIFIL.

The United Nations International Force in Lebanon. Been there as "observers" since 1978.

They done observed the PLO rape Lebanon.

They done watch Hezbollah rape Lebanon.

One rung below useless "peacekeepers" all over Africa.

Fortunately, we have some real men in charge.

In response to crone Helen Thomas bleating a question to Tony Snow about how the US needs to stop the Israelis (when are these idiots actually going to axe questions instead of make statements) from killing the defenseless Lebanese, Snow replied, "Thank you the Hezbollah perspective, Helen."

    Whammo.

    Right between the eyes.

Did anyone know Thomas was part Lebanese?

Another real man representing us: UN Amb John Bolton.

Asked by a whiny reporterette, "Why hasn't President Bush rushed over to talk with President Assad? His Daddy and Prez Clinton did."

"And it was blazingly pointless", sarcastically responded a glaring Bolton.

    Phwap.

Go back to your vapors couch, honey.
