In a random draw, the Chautauqua County Health Department chose the Ripley School District to have the first H1N1 clinic among schools. The interim superintendent says things went smoothly.

"About two-thirds of our student body received the vaccine, either through shot or nasal spray," says interim superintendent John Hogan, who felt fortunate his district got the first clinic. "Because of the general state in this country when it relates to this virus, we're lucky we drew the number one card," says Hogan.

Hogan says the health department knew coming in it had enough vaccine for everyone who wanted it.
