Please explain what part of my screen printed numbers were misleading? In all your bitching you and Joe have yet to do that

I'm very happy with our numbers... plus remember it's not how large your numbers are it's how you apply them.

are all of these numbers important for some reason or just bragging rights between local sites. is there a prize to win or some private competion .
One good thing about growing old is your secrets are safe with your friends they can't remember them either
They really mean nothing in most cases. But if you are selling advertising the higher the better. Just like a TV/Radio station. The more viewers they have the more each "30 second" commercial may be worth. I'm still perplexed why tv commercials are still expensive seeing there's 100 channels on cable now. The market is so diluted with so many channels I don't know if tv commericals really work the way they used to unless you spend loads of cash. BUT then if you don't get a return what is the point.
The internet excels when you have traffic (viewers) which are targeted to one topic. Lets say you were working on a website which was based on growing tomatoes. The traffic you would attract would be viewers interested in growing the biggest best tasting tomatos they could. Now if you were going to sell advertising what do you think would work? Ads that promoted ceramic paint or ads that promoted tomato growing products? Now if these people coming to the tomato website saw real examples of these products working they most likely will buy something from the site because the proof was in the pudding.

The funny thing is, there are only about 15 people in WNY who really have any idea what the difference is between hits/impressions/views/unique visitors/etc.
As for competition, neither Tony nor Marc sell ads on SpeakUp or WNYMedia while Joe uses his site and his trumped up numbers to shakedown local politicians for the benefit of the Independence Party...i.e. "pay to play" or "quid pro quo" as it were...allegedly
