Twice as much gas? So now they have twice as many cars as before? Do they acutally run twice as many patrol cars or do more police sit at the station now? Ever think of that?

How many acutal calls does a police officer go on during the day over all?

Not a police officer. Can't answer. Ask a police officer. No, better yet. Listen to a police officer. Said gas in the cruisers because instead of one police car there are two cars for "partners" to be "minutes away" from each other.

Your correct but don't assume there's twice as many cars out on the road.

Didn't do that. Said "Twice as much gas in their cruisers for one". Since partners are a minute away. Means partner are in another car. Gas. Think about it.

I guess some people like to debate the jobs they themselves would never have the guts or intelligence to handle.I get the sense a few of the contributors on this site have never felt true fear or lives stresses associated with possible life and death.
Some people think stress is the boss is an a!!- try my a!! is about to get smoked!
Chaos is traffic while dinner waits at home - try blowing dinner through your air mask while trying to find another person in a burning building!
Some of you feel frustration is , your beer glass is empty and getting warmer-- try chasing a dude across a parking lot in ninety degree weather, because he just beat some 70 year old senseless for her social security check.
Well i could go on and on, but i guess those people would just rather sit back and cure the worlds problems by have another cold one instead of getting off the stool and helping!
P.S. If a garbage collector gets AIDS from a dirty needle - is it less of a tragedy? If we lay off all the workers - will all those complaining self righteous fools get off the stools and protect and serve themselves.
    I DON'T THINK SO!

Just my opinions - i could be wrong - Next time your house catches fire - run to the corner bar. If your sister gets carjacked - get your buddies from the boardroom to chase the guy down!

Taxes are not the real problem(although they suck?) , the real problem is that Elected Clown who spends your tax dollar to feed his needs and those who lay down the carpet for him to walk on so he don't feel life's dumps.

Thanks again for your time! I apologize in advance for keeping you up so long!

Why would a cop have to chase him? To get closer to shot him in the back?

BTW...most people would rather be the cop in that situation...at worst he'll get winded, the old lady is the victim, not the cop...he's getting paid to get some fresh air and exercise.
The difference between taxes and robbery is the mode of coercion.

When is the last time a cop has been raped or robbed on duty?

When is the last time an unarmed citizen has been raped or robbed?

Besides…cops can't be victims of crime because by their own admission their mere presence deters crime.
