    Citi Stat program to be unveiled Friday 6/16

    Wow, if it is true there are quite a few on this board who were very wrong. Very, very, wrong. I read it on Illuzis website. I eagerly await the stats...

    Nobody in the city is aware of it, at least not the rank and file, some of whom are working on it.

    why should "the rank and file be notified? Your an employee, your boss doesnt have to fill u in on every change he makes.

    Thats the problem with the union mentality. You think because you work there you have some ownership in the store.

    I'm waiting with bated breath.
    The path is clear
    Though no eyes can see
    The course laid down long before.

    Well, duh.

    Maybe this has something to do with the City's problems.

    But you should make a distinction:
    Nobody in the city is aware of it,
    Might be interpreted as no resident is aware of it.

    As opposed to the lumpkins who work for the City (not for us, which they would hate to acknowledge.)

    If you City employees arent' aware of it, perhaps it's because:

    1)you don't care about anything;
    2)you're hostile to any change at all;
    3)they didn't want to tell you, because it'd just give you a head start on sabotaging it, on the off chance it might result in lower employees.

    Citistat is a non-issue.

    No one in City govt is remotely interested in it.

    It will never be implemented.

    If it is implemented, there will be a giant effort at being too stupid to work with it or understand it.

    Every union member will receive remedial instruction in how to say "duh".

    The City would be better off buying tickets to Al Gore's global warming movie for the willing union lemmings.

    I have my reservations. Especially when the program is a product of the Mayor who tried to slide a budget with a huge spending increase by the CB.

    Actually the "part" of citi-stat that all the hoopla is about is computerized tracking of payroll, overtime and time in attendance. This has actually been in effect for quite a while. Thats why no word was passed through the city grapevine.
    The computerized tracking of equipment and mantanence scheduling is what the workers are interested in. The guy who comes to work and does his job dosen't fear Cti-Stat. we actually want it.

    Little arrogant in your thoughts on managment employee relationships.
    Back in the old days the master didn't have to explain anything to the slave. Mister Lincoln changed all that.
    I never used the word "notified". I happen to know some of the people involved in adapting and implementing the program. If it was anything major that would have affected our jobs we would have heard.

    As a taxpayer residing in the City of Buffalo I do have some ownership in the store.
