I guess by now mostly everyone has heard Homeland Security has decided to cut funding by at least 40% to Western New York.
NYC is also being deeply cut--"not enough national icons"!!!!

Well, maybe they figure there's no towers to take down anymore.
I'm sure a large per centage of this funding is squandered and laundered, anyways.

If NYC doesn't have "national icons, then noone does. Statue of Liberty, anyone?
There are deep cuts all over the country. California for one.
Des Moines, Iowa, is getting more.

I thought it was NYC getting the 40% cut. I don't remember anything about WNY's share.

The list I saw had Buffalo being cut out entirely, but it seems like we'd be hearing some squawking if that was the case, so who knows.

Strangely enough (or maybe not), all the areas getting cut voted Democrat in the last election, while those areas getting more voted Republican.
