Back in the 70's my grandmother dropped a tray full of teacups & saucers, part of a set of china she received from her parents as a wedding gift back in 1926.
She tried to replace these items, but to no avail. As it turned out, her china was manufactured in Japan prior to WWII and was no longer imported to the US. The company eventually set up a US distributor after the war, but her pattern was no longer available.
When she died, she left her china to me, and when mom moved here she moved the china here with her.
I discovered replacements.com and remarkably I was able to replace every last one of those long broken teacups & saucers.
You can check ebay and see if any of the pieces are selling there to get an idea on price. You can also contact a reputable antique dealer to get an appraisal.
