I will hold a counter protest and we will hold signs that say angry mob. Then we will yell at the other protesters. Then a fight will happen and we all get to share cells with pat kane and his cousin in the holding center.
Media Advisory:
On Sunday, on WBEN's Hardline show, Congressman Brian Higgins committed a possible career-ending gaffe. When asked why he refuses to have a town hall meeting on health care, he replied that he was already meeting with "stakeholders" which is political code language for health care special interest groups. Brian "Cash Machine" Higgins is well known for taking huge amounts of money from special interest groups, then supporting pork and bailout bills that richly reward his donors.
The Congressman's incredible arrogrance is why various citizen groups have banded together to bring the town hall to Higgins.
Local citizens are planning to protest at a fundraiser for Higgins on Wednesday, August 12, from 5-7pm at DiTondo's Restaurant, 370 Seneca St. in downtown Buffalo.
The event is co-sponsored by these groups:
TeaNewYork.com (Rus Thompson 563-9901)
ReformWNY (Allen Coniglio, 812-2400, to join his list, send an email to ilkitty@adelphia.net)
PoliticalClassDismissed.com (Jim Ostrowski 435-8918)
LibertyPursuit.com (Tony Matuszak 407-0515)
Tony Matuszak is the coordinator for this event.
The purpose of the protest is to discourage donations to long-time incumbent politicians who support the untenable status quo in WNY government.
The group also wishes to express its total opposition to socialized medicine and corporate bailouts.
This is a grassroots protest with no connection to any political party or candidate for Congress. No astroturf in Buffalo.
The above contacts are available for media interviews.

“Two percent of the people think; three percent of the people think they think; and ninety-five percent of the people would rather die than think.”
It amazes me how out of touch he is. I heard an interview with him where he said he would not have a town hall meeting because he didn't want yelling and screaming - he wanted to debate facts. Well, why doesn't he offer a forum for that? Anyone that starts to yell and scream and carry on must leave. Go protest outside. The rest of us can debate facts. Then we can all watch him try to answer questions that he has no answers to. Other than to tow the party line Obama, Reid, Pelosi, etc.
I am opposed to anyone cutting anyone off at a public meeting. Those who do so are harming their cause, whatever their cause is.
But it comes with the territory. If people prevent a meeting, they should be kicked out. It's not an excuse to hide from the public.
Reminder. The "town hall" is tomorrow at 5pm.
Please:
Avoid the sidewalk in front of the restaurant.
Bring no amplifiers
Do not block any sidewalk.
Do not make excessive noise.
Stay out of the street
Do:
Bring cameras galore and use them!
