Guilty plea in golf facility fraud case - Tee to Green

A 55-year-old North Tonawanda man has pled guilty to two felony counts of mail fraud and conspiracy to commit mail fraud relating to the
defunct Tee to Green golf facility on Amherst Street in Buffalo.

United States Attorney Terrance Flynn said Steven Blumenhagen entered the plea before US District Judge William Skretney, admitting that, in 1997, he marketed promissory notes which were represented as being bonded and insured, when, in fact, they were not.

More than 250 people invested more than $11 million in the project.
Blumhagen faces a maximum of five years imprisonment and a $250,000 fine on each count when he is sentenced in August

    Tee To Green Property

Meanwhile..the property sits , unmaintained, weeds, trees, what shrubbery is left ...overgrown. the sorrounding neighborhood must now look at this eyesore. Perhaps the AMBASSADOR BRIDGE GROUP CAN PURCHASE IT!! at least they do what they can to maintain what they now own adjacently.

Compared with the abandoned factories & junkyards around there, this field isn't such an eyesore. Idea: softball diamonds for this lot. The city can always use more softball diamonds. And a beer stand.
