Andrew Cuomo Loses NY Times Endorsement

The New York Times editorial board announced it would not be endorsing New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) in the upcoming September primary for governor.

I can see him pounding his little IL Duce fist now saying "NO ONE NEEDS NEWSPAPER ENDORSEMENTS TO WIN AN ELECTION"

Seriously though, why do newspapers endorse candidates? They should try to stick to reporting the facts. Papers have a hard enough time just doing that.

Do you think the www.ecdems.com staff and crew will take their time to market for Cuomo and attend fund raisers for him?

The story is that the NYTimes is not endorsing Cuomo for the Democratic Primary. No, the NYTimes won't be endorsing a non-Democrat for the Democratic primary as only democrats are allowed to run.

When it comes time to endorse for the general election, the NYTimes might still endorse Cuomo over the opponents, although I think it is more likely the NYTimes will take the same position - no endorsement for Cuomo for the stated reasons, and no endorsement for the other candidates for whatever reason the NYTimes feels is relevant.

Now if the Unions would just understand how he has lied to them. That will take a while though - the older/seniors will all bail out first with their over time inflated pensions - 3-5 years - then the new boys will see all the restrictions their leaders negotiated for the new guys while protecting the seniors bloated benefits.

Yet teachers Unions and others are pouring millions and millions of Union workers dollars into the Dem coffers - whats it gonna take for them to wake up -
