    Ever So Slow!

The news reports WNY is the slowest part of the country for gas prices to fall. Politicians are looking into this.. Higgins why is this the slowest...?

Regional gas prices keep slipping (ever so slowly)

Gasoline prices have dropped another cent and a half in Western New York.

A gallon of gas is selling for an average of $3.807 in Erie and Niagara counties this morning, according to the latest figures from the American Automobile Association.

    That's down from $3.823 a week ago.

Gas prices have been slowly declining for the past month or so. The Buffalo average on June 28 was $3.852 per gallon, four and a half cents higher than now.

AAA issues daily price estimates for metropolitan areas across the country, based on its analysis of credit-card purchases at self-service stations.

    It's not just Buffalo.
Here, after a few weeks of steady but slight decreases from about 3.59 down to 3.25, it shot up to 3.49 the other day.. for no reason.....
Let me articulate this for you:

because the refineries raised their prices, so to off set the cost of future expense, gas stations raise their prices.

bush left office at $1.85 a gallon

obame hasnt seen less than $3.25

The president doesn't set gas prices, ffs.

The reason it went up is because the oil companies cut production which increases the cost. Don't blame Obama. Blame Wall Street

So when democratic supporters say "Look at the stock market while President Obama has been in office!".... Don't giver credit to President Obama, give it to Wall Street. Right?

The reason why our gas prices don't drop fast is because we are one of the furthest northern cities in the state and price dropping are totally controlled therefore, just deal with the high cost for your gas or make changes how, when and what vehicle you use, you could buy a peddle bike for the summer months and use a smaller car in the winter months. Otherwise, we are all at other powers mercy.

Buffalo is closest to Canadian gas suppliers if it wasn't for all the taxes the gas would be cheaper. down here I paid $2.95 and it is still falling

    $2.92 in Rock Hill SC

Just came in from Charlotte SC seeing some old friends that are transplants from WNY(damn there a lot of them) watched the fumbling bumbling bills at a buffalo backed sports bar. Gas $2.92 a gal.. That end of the pipe line crap for this area is BS.. Charlotte is at the end of the pipe line too.
Mingling around with the transplants over the last four days none would come back to this area because of jobs, high taxes, gas, food, and now that families are growing they are staying in this area.

Cheekman, the notion that people are dying to move back here and that people are flocking back to the region is nothing but a myth pushed by the Buffalo News. The population loss continues unabated as the census updates clearly show. While the numbers leaving have certainly fallen there's a simple explanation. THERE ARE FEWER PEOPLE LEFT TO LEAVE.
