barrel of oil just about 40 bucks a barrel could see if fall under 39 dollars by friday.. The gas station crooks holding up the prices around here. I seen delta drop it a penny sometime last week.. smoking joe in irving raised his prices almost 18 cents in a week .. was down to 2.22 not long a go... no reason chief white owl pays no tax on his gas.

U.S. refineries are taking advantage of a year-long slump in oil prices by processing the most crude in decades and they are expected to continue doing so -- even after demand slows with the end of summer, energy analysts said.

Increased production by refiners equals more gasoline in the market and a further drop in prices. A gallon of gasoline at the pump could fall below $2 by the end of the year, analysts estimated.

"Crude oil is on sale," said Andrew Lipow, president of Lipow Oil Associates LLC in Houston. "As a result, refiners are trying to process as much crude oil as they can into gasoline and diesel for the consumer."

U.S. oil inventories have dropped slightly as

almost under $40 bucks a barrel.. Not even a penny lower people u are getting screwed by the gas station crooks. where is the investigation
Oil prices dip further after U.S. stock-build, Saudi export rise.

U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil slumped over 4 percent on Wednesday to hit a 6-1/2-year low as a huge unexpected stockpile build in the United States reinforced concerns about a growing global oil glut.

U.S. crude inventories rose 2.6 million barrels last week to 456.21 million barrels, the government's Energy Information Administration said.

And markets opened up weak again on Thursday. U.S. crude futures were trading at $40.69 per barrel at 0024 GMT, levels not seen since the peak of the global financial crisis of 2008/2009. Brent was down 11 cents at $47.05 a barrel.

"WTI prices plunged to the lowest level in more than six years after an EIA report showed that U.S. crude stockpiles unexpectedly rose 2.6 million barrels against market expectations for a small decline," ANZ bank said on Thursday.

"Despite the weak price environment, the biggest OPEC producer, Saudi Arabia, boosted its oil exports," it added.

Saudi Arabia exported 7.365 million barrels per day (bpd) in June, up from 6.935 million bpd in May, figures published by the Joint Organisations Data Initiative (JODI) showed.

For what it's worth, I read in the past week that the bottom is about to fall out on gas prices, attributed to the "summer blend" we are all driving, refined from that still pricier oil.

    Just throwing that out there...

I was right with this..Oil prices trade below $40 a barrel for first time since 2009.

and there are still the owner crooks of these stations holding gas prices at $2.75 seen five stations yesterday and today with prices over $2.70 in this area..

    Oil prices trade
    below $40 a barrel

U.S. oil prices traded below $40 a barrel for the first time since 2009, ending 2.1 percent lower Friday on signs of U.S. oversupply and weak Chinese manufacturing and notching the longest weekly losing streak in almost three decades.

U.S. crude dipped below the $40 threshold, before closing at $40.45, following weekly data that showed U.S. energy firms added two oil drilling rigs last week, the fifth increase in a row. The rise in the number of rigs emerging after a second-quarter lull in prices is adding to concerns that U.S. shale production is proving slow to respond to falling prices, prolonging a global glut.

“Everyone is still looking at it saying ‘Wow, you still don’t have production coming down,’ ” said Tariq Zahir, founder at Tyche Capital in Laurel Hollow, N.Y. U.S. October crude settled 87 cents, or 2.1 percent, lower at $40.45 a barrel, having touched a new 6½-year low of $39.86 a barrel. Front-month U.S. crude has fallen 33 percent over eight consecutive weeks of losses, the longest losing streak since 1986.

38 bucks a barrel closing today... see if the gas comes down tomorrow... prices falling all over the US... not here.

Remember when King Joel was pushing red light cameras in the city of tonawanda $$$ I think king joel and the chief had something going on with that.. then they scrapped the program... Mayor erkel was thinking about it then dropped it.

    look at this..
If you paid a traffic ticket generated from a red-light camera in St. Louis any time since Feb. 14, 2014, you're getting your money back.

The city pledged last week that it will refund roughly $5.6 million to motorists who paid red*light camera tickets. On Tuesday, the Missouri Supreme Court struck down the ordinance governing red*light cameras in St. Louis. The city immediately stopped the red*light camera program and dismissed all pending cases.

Now, St. Louis begins the daunting task of returning the money paid over the last 18 months by offending drivers. The St. Louis Post Dispatch says they are still considering the best way to do it.

Full refunds will go only to motorists who paid tickets between Feb. 14, 2014 and Tuesday, Aug. 18 2015. Anyone who paid a ticket before that period will not receive a refund, the city said. Motorists who paid red*light tickets prior to that were eligible for a class*action settlement that amounted to about $20 per ticket. Circuit Judge Steven
Ohmer last year invalidated the city’s red*light ordinance in a case brought by Sarah Tupper and Sandra Thurmond after their vehicles were photographed running red lights. Both said someone else had been driving at the time.

it looks like the oil prices are just about ready to crash, and the crooks around here still keeping gas prices up. lowest I seen was yesterday $2.34 Cleveland dr. and beach delta sonic walden $2.37.. here is a rip off $2.79 walden and union the old green frog. and lots of stations on the blvd still over $2.51..

Rochester $1.99 lowest in NYC so far is $1.89 we all have the same state tax so what is the problem with this area... end of the pipe line BS or the noco brothers ripping the people off in this area. I wonder how much money the brothers pay into these local politicians war chests to keep it high.

look chief white owl gas on the res $1.98 might be worth the drive.

Flying J Exit 48A off the 90 in Pembroke gas is about 20 cents cheaper than this area. You have
two stations right off the 90 and you would think it would be higher.
As for the politics of the gas prices around here without a doubt, someone is getting paid off that is why there was never a investigation on the high price of gas in this area.
