Someone said they were informed or aware that a woman in the town just won a million dollar lawsuit against the town
She is 76, lives either on Ogden or South Ogden.
Anyone hear anything like this?

The pedestrian is never at fault, only long boarders are at fault. She’s the one who created this accident, now we get to pay for it
Who is our town using as lawyers. Maybe it's time we get new lawyers.

I'm curious. How are all us property owners at fault on this?

Mattar probably represents the woman. He advertises as a plaintiff’s lawyer. Whoever represented the town is a matter of public record. Call the town and ask. Does the town have insurance? If so, attorneys for the insurance carrier probably represented the town. That’s public record too. You know, he did hit a pedestrian. Maybe she should’ve been held to a higher % of liability for walking against the signal. That’s what appeals are for.
Add in have a traffic study done, drop speed limit to 30 mph, hold public meetings on why pedestrians and bicyclists keep getting hit, then spend a few million on intersection improvements, just so the pedestrians and bicyclists can continue crossing when and where they shouldn’t and doing nothing to help themselves
