The WTF part is they want to bring in the boy, inject him so he becomes erect and take pictures of his penis to compare.
You can read the full story here and here - In ‘sexting’ case Manassas City police want to photograph teen in sexually explicit manner, lawyers say
Here is the tl;dr:
15 year old girlfriend supposedly sends some explicit photos to her 17 year old boyfriend. Note that both are under 18.
17 year old boyfriend then supposedly turns around and sends an explicit video to his 15 year old girlfriend.
Mother of the girl finds the video and calls the police to press charges.
Manassas City police and Prince William County prosecutors do the full court press on JUST THE 17 year old boyfriend. The GIRL, who started the process, is not being charged.
The boy, if convicted, will not only go to jail until he is 21 but also have to register as a sex offender. Essentially ruining his life before it starts.
So my question is why is the girl getting off without having to face the same charges as the boy? If what is being suggested is true, she is just as guilty as the boy in this. They should be treated equally. But we don't live in a true equal society. We just live in one that pretends to want equality as long as it's convenient.
Don't get me wrong. This sexting sh*t is crazy and it needs to stop. But in order for it to stop, ANYONE who is underage and does it needs to face the same type of charges.
